Hello! My name is Ru, and I am looking to recruit 3-6 players for this 'one shot'. I will close this thread and make my final selection on 8/26/2018. This means you have until 8/25/2018 to enter your character concept. Every player may submit up to two character concepts!
This game will begin with level 1 and end around level 3/4. If things go well, the game could persist afterwards, but there is always a chance the DM will opt to leave things where they are. You DO NOT need to know anything about Eberron to play this game. This game is actually an introductory module, so Eberron newbies are highly welcome to join. BUT! If you WOULD like to know more, click the spoiler in the next section. It's long, but might help you come up with an idea.
What is Eberron?
What is Eberron? It’s a world bound by a golden ring and surrounded by twelve moons. It’s the intersection of thirteen planes of existence, which shift in and out of alignment. It’s a place where magic has been harnessed as a tool — used to build cities, to sail ships through the skies, to create both wonders and weapons.
Eberron embraces swashbuckling action and pulp adventure and adds a layer of neo-noir intrigue. Stories don’t always end well and there isn’t a perfect answer to every problem. The Last War turned old allies into bitter enemies and destroyed an entire nation, leaving terrible scars behind. Crime and corruption lurk in the great cities of Khorvaire. Hidden dragons shape the course of history. Sinister fiends influence the dreams of the unwary. Human greed and ambition may prove more dangerous than any devil or demon. But through this darkness, there are opportunities for a group of bold adventurers to make a difference… for better or for worse.
A Magical World. From warforged and airships to the mighty dragonmarked houses, magic is a part of the world and its stories.
Pulp Adventure. Whether you’re leaping from an airship or battling demons in forgotten ruins, Eberron encourages cinematic action and swashbuckling adventure.
Neo-Noir Intrigue. Eberron is a world of difficult choices. The line between hero and villain is easily blurred, and even the champions of the light may have things they regret.
The Last War. Eberron has just emerged from a century-long civil war, and the scars of that bitter conflict remain. How did the war affect your character, and how will it shape your story?
The Mourning. This mystical cataclysm destroyed an entire nation and created a deadly wasteland in the heart of Khorvaire. The Mourning brought the war to an end, but it is a mystery and a threat that looms large over Eberron.
Ancient Mysteries. Powerful artifacts are hidden in the ruined cities of giants. Dragons and demons scheme in the shadows, unraveling a prophecy that could shape the future. These ancient mysteries can be a source of fantastic adventures and terrible danger.
If it exists in D&D, it has a place in Eberron… But it may not be the place you’re used to.
- Baker 2018, "What is Eberron?"
Eberron is unlike the main setting for 5e. The magic is not high, but 'wide.' Magic is studied and used as a tool for everyday life. For example, there are large airships powered by elementals, wandslingers that may not be 'traditional' mages, but can cast cantrips and first level spells just fine, and sentient golems made from magic and metal known as the Warforged. Magic is everywhere!
Religion is also more based on faith than absolute facts in Eberron. The gods, if they exist, are distant. Yet clerics, paladins, and other divine spellcasters are still granted powers. While I won't go into all the belief systems, know that there are: a pantheon, a monotheistic-like faith, belief in your own power, and a few others.
Dragonmarked houses are organizations in the fictional Eberron campaign setting for the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game that are based on bloodlines descended from families that first manifested dragonmarks. Not all members of the Houses have dragonmarks; nor is it an assurance of power. Talent is considered a better choice. Most common people have at least a small amount of House blood in their ancestry, usually unnoticed. (Wikipedia, click the link if you want to know more about each individual house. It's actually pretty concise and basically true to this game.)
Finally and most importantly, the game takes place 2 years after the Last War. The continent of Khorvaire was more or less united under a single human kingdom known as Galifar. About 100 years ago, when King Jarot died, a war of succession began as his heirs battled over who had the right to rule. The fighting ended due to one of the nations, Cyre, was destroyed in a cataclysmic event. No one knows how it happened or why, but there is a strained peace between what are now the Five Nations.
About DM & Variant Rules/Homerules
I will DM (obviously). Some things to know about me:
DM can be very strange and will homage the shit out of things they like.
Things in my games can sometimes turn into memes apparently.
I DM 3 live games. 2 games are every other week, 1 game is once a month.
I try to post once a day. Sometimes I post many times a day. Sometimes I can't post at all.
If you are looking for a DM who is available on the forum 24/7, it is not me.
In this adventure, we will use the following homerules and variant rules:
Epic Heroism: Short Rests are 5 Minutes. Long Rests are 1 Hour.
Healing Surge: As an action, a character can spend up to half their hit die to recover HP in battle. You roll the die and add your constitution modifier. You cannot use this action again until after you complete a short/long rest. First level characters cannot use Healing Surge.
Inspiration Action: Inspiration can be stored and you can have a maximum of 3 points. You may spend 3 inspiration points to take an additional action during your turn. This action can only be used for a Standard or Movement action.
Passive Initiative: Initiative will not be rolled. It will be determined with the following calculation: 8 + Dex Mod + Any bonuses.
Battle Summary: Everyone will post their turn in battle when they can instead of posting via initiative order. DM will sum up the battle in their post which will include what the enemies are doing. This means you may not know what the enemy is doing until the DM posts the summary. Whenever a player takes an action that would become null and void due to player or enemy movements, DM will contact player over Discord -or- will redirect player action in a way that is beneficial to player (whichever player prefers).
Help Action: When one character help actions another character outside of combat, they either must be trained in the same skill as the check OR they must be able to justify why a different trained skill would help. The player must also roleplay out exactly what they do to help. Help Action in battle still grants advantage. No skill check required.
About you
Looking for players who:
Can join discord. I have found this makes communication much easier if I can, by phone, tell players I won't be able to post or resolve very quick checks.
Can respect when DM says no. I will usually say 'yes' or 'you can try,' but during character creation you may hear 'no.'
Is not looking for a dungeon crawl.
Is not looking to only roleplay.
Prompt & Character Concept
This adventure follows the gang as they accept a job from a university professor in Sharn to look for a schema that is somewhere in the underbelly of the city. Sharn is a massive city in Breland that is almost a nation onto it's own. Sharn is known as the City of Towers, because well, it is made mostly of towers. Rich folk live closer to the top, while poor people are down in the slums near the base of the towers, many of whom rarely see the sun unless they travel up to where the hoity-toity people live.
---EDIT!---
With so many applicants, and many of them being similar character types, I've decided a second game thread will open for these folks. Here is the info if you are interested in a thief's guild-type game!
Title: The Rogue's Gallery Description: You are part of a small-time gang in the seedy underbelly of Sharn. Boss, a changeling who changes skin as often as the truth shifts from a politician's lips, has picked up on a big tip. If you pull this job off, life might get a whole lot easier than it has been for the past lifetime. Of course, the stakes are high too, but for small timers looking to make it big, you have to take risks, right? Looking for: Characters who are thieves and/or down on their luck. Listen to this song if you want a feel for the sorta story I want this game to be. If you are interested in a character you already submitted or plan to submit in the future being part of this game, just note it's for Rogue's Gallery.
---Edit Over---
Reminder, we start at Level 1 and use the standard array for stats. I am looking for the following information about your character:
Name: (If possible, include a last name.) Age: Race: (All are allowed) Class: (All are allowed, UA Artificer is allowed, but you must be willing to commit to the official build when released.) Desired Background: (You don't have to commit to the background. There are some extra background options in the Wayfinder's Guide you may not have access to atm.) Moral Compass: (Basically, what your alignment is. You will not be forced to stay in alignment at all times. My only ban is chaotic/neutral evils. Lawful Evil is fine.) Backstory: (A couple of lines about your character. You can keep it vague if you aren't sure about locations and such. Please include some information on your character's involvement (or lack thereof) in the Last War.) Description of how they look: (If possible, you can simply link to a reference image.)
Thank you!
That was probably a lot of reading, but I want to make sure everyone knows what they are getting into. If you have any questions feel free to live them in thread. Again, you can post 2 characters. I will not review character concepts until 8/25/2018, so feel free to edit your characters to your heart's desire.

Name: Ajax Tarkhir Age: 23 Race: Minotaur Class: Barbarian Desired Background: Inheritor Moral Compass: Chaotic Neutral to start Backstory: Everything has its time and place. The Sovereign Host The Dark Six. The Grimjaw clan venerates them equally. They are all part of the natural order and their ideals are shown in every creature at one point or another. There are those who are fated to exemplify some of those aspects. Ajax was born under the Sign of Fury. As such, he was taught to wield ferocity against his enemies, and temper it with loyalty to his friends. Now he must set out into the world to experience the other aspects and those who exemplify them.
Backstory: Apart of the Cold Sun tribe. After the Newthrone accords decided to find work as a mercenary. Joined with House Deneith and my squad went to work under the forces of Breland. When the war came to an end I decided to leave my company in pursuit of doing more adventurous activities. I took a liking to the land of Breland and have taken up residence in Sharn for the moment.
Here is my character sheet. Comes with an image and description of character as well.
Name: Fin Age: 19 Race: Changeling Class: Warlock (Archfey) Desired Background: Charlatan Moral Compass: Chaotic Neutral (Not the crazy CN) Backstory: Fin was raised in an orphanage in the lower districts of Sharn and was always treated with distrust and suspicion by all the children (and even some of the staff), because of her race. She tried very hard to understand people and how to make them happy and yet she could never quite figure out how to make herself happy. As she aged, she became angry with the way she was constantly treated by others and decided to embrace the divergent nature everyone else saw in her. She found that she was really good at lying and making others believe she was someone else, whoever they wanted her to be, but there was one person she would often change into; Gwendallyn d'Cannith. Gwen was a fake identity she created, a younger daughter of a minor family of House Cannith. Gwen was beautiful, sensuous and a heart-breaker. Fin enjoyed manipulating others into falling in love with them and thing twisting that sense into despair.
One evening, while strolling about as Gwen, Fin stumbled across a manifest zone that crossed over into the Feywild where she encountered a strange, bipedal frog-like being who seemed keenly interested in Fin's fluid-like nature. The being called itself Culainn and they spoke at length about many topics; Fin became enamored with Culainn and asked if they could meet again. Culainn watched Fin for a time before asking a question of Fin. "What do you want more than anything in this world?" Fin's answer was swift and without hesitation. "I want them to love me." "Who?" "Everyone." Culainn smiled and conjured a staff of white ash which was handed to Fin and explained that it would be their conduit in which they could speak to each other. It would likely be difficult for Fin to get back to the Feywild. The staff would guarantee they would always have contact with each other, no matter the distances or planes of existence. Culainn was an archfey and granted some of their powers to Fin, particularly how to manipulate the mind of others.
Upon Fin's return to Sharn they encountered an enigmatic young man, whom quickly fell in love with Gwen's personae. There was something about the young man, whose name Fin refuses to ever say, that made Fin want to hurt him, but they could never truly say what. Over a year's time, Fin worked toward the grand scheme and taking away everything from the young man, destroying the family he once had and his career. When it was all said and done, the young man took 'Gwen's' face in his hand after she had laughed at his misery. He was not angry and livid, he simply looked at Fin with a sad smile and said that he was sorry for whatever awful thing had happened to her to make her crave the misery of others to make herself feel happy before he walked away. Those words struck Fin to the core and made them rethink the malicious nature in which they had been going about their life. They hope to be more altruistic about the way in which they deal with people and seek out that feeling of fulfillment they desire. Description of how they look: Fin's changeling appearance is tall and slender with the pale skin and hair of their race, but is decidedly feminine with a small nose and sharp chin; however, Fin very rarely maintains her true appearance and is continually changing to match whatever appearance they believe is preferred to whomever they are with at the time. Male or female, gender holds very little sway of Fin.
Story: In the City of Towers, you learned to stick together or die living alone. Several orphans would stick together as best they could to survive. All that Daerlyn remembers is living in the slums and barely surviving. Yet with his friends and family, he learned to survive.
The ability to see in the dark, gave him advantage against many others. Perhaps it was one of the many other reasons he survived. Helping others as best he could, moving around in the darkness with ease. He is a half elf but his abilities are a gift from his parents and he intends to use them to his advantage.
Joining the army was one of the few choices left for him. His friends and family wished him well, yet they knew he had a better chance than them. He had skills that he had mastered as best he could and the military instantly seen that.
When he could, he would go back, help them out and he would do this for years. He was a local favorite and many would look to him for help and guidance.
The war was tough and hard to live with but he managed. When he was able to head back, most of his friends and family had moved on in many different ways. Yet he would see some friends built families, his stories told and not forgotten. He is still welcomed within the slums but he has yet to help them out as best as possible. Maybe after this war is over and the threat taken care of.
Appearance: Long black hair reaching just past his shoulders. Most times he seems to try to smile but either he fails or succeeds. He has what some would say a evening shadow on his face, that seems not to grow any further. Not tall as some humans but his build is more slick than broad. Moving light on his feet and barely making noise, like he is accustomed to such movements. Seeing him in dark clothing is common and he always seems to be wearing his hood over his head.
Also, be sure to include backstory info if you are posting a link to your sheet. Just reminding in case anyone forgot.

Morall Compass: Chaotic neutral, with red leaning toward evil and blue leaning toward good. Also batsh#t crazy.
Looks: Ananymos is a changeling sooooo... I'll just describe what it wears. Ananymos tends to wear an old, patchy trench coat, which has a bunch of different pockets where it keeps a bunch of clothing items that it repeatedly switches out depending on which persona it is currently using. Additionally, Ananymos has a collection of rather shnazzy hats.
Backstory:
It was living a perfect life as Ashla Wyva, an elven costumer. It had a purpose. It had someone it loved. It was happy. But sadly, all good things come to an end. It was discovered as a changeling and driven out by the enraged villagers who thought that he killed Ashla and replaced him. They were mistaken, the poor changeling had invented Ashla, wanting to belong in the world of men. It fled down into a nearby cave, hoping to escape It's pursuers. It succeeded, but became lost in the deep cave system. It wandered for ages, until it came upon a group of people performing a strange ritual. It watched, and heard, and She spoke to It, She whispered in It's ears. She had a place in her heart for the shapeless, faceless, ever changing creatures of It's race. It joined in the worship of She, and It was granted a name. And with a name, one gains a purpose. One gains power. Ananymos now had both. Ananymos conferred in this place of worship with She for many years, and Ananymos slowly grew in power until the day that She saw fit that Ananymos was to be released into the outside world. She is wise, She knows what is best, so Ananymos obeyed She, and Ananymos left for the above.
Ananymos does not know who it's patron is, and simply refers to it as She. Ananymos communicates with She through his familiar, an imp named Mib. She has complete and total control over Ananymos, and can inflict immense pain upon it whenever She pleases. For a time, Ananymos regretted it's choice. But slowly, Ananymos' mind started to go, until nothing was left except madness. Slowly, Ananymos' madness grew, and soon it couldn't be contained within one vessel. So Ananymos made another. Ananymos was scared, so it took it's fear and made a vessel for it. Ananymos called it Yellow. But soon, it's madness grew again, so it made another vessel, and put it's mania into it. The new vessel was called Blue. But now Ananymos was filled with nothing but it's rage. Ananymos felt nothing but rage, and the rage whispered to it, and the rage made it do bad things. But it wasn't Ananymos who hurt those people. It wasn't Ananymos who made them scream. It wasn't Ananymos who smiled as their lifeblood spilled from them. It was the rage. The rage had thrown Ananymos into a dark room and thrown away the key. But Ananymos didn't give up. It searched around until it found a crack in the wall. Then Ananymos dug and chipped away at the crack until it had a tiny hole. Then a bigger hole. Then, eventually, Ananymos squeezed out of the dark room and found itself surrounded by carnage. The rage had killed everyone, even the one that Ananymos loved. Everyone that Ananymos had known as Ashla Wyva was dead. Ananymos took it's rage and threw it into a new vessel, then locked away the vessel in a deep, dark dungeon. Ananymos hoped that it would never escape, but sometimes it finds holes in it's prison. Ananymos does it's best to fill those holes, but sometimes the rage gets through, and does things that Ananymos regrets. Ananymos still has madness within it, but it is manageable, and whenever there is too much, Ananymos just gives it to one of it's personas.
Despite whatever form it takes, Ananymos' left eye is purple, with a dark red triquetra(it's an actual shape) instead of a pupil. If Ananymos looks out of this eye, he can see in darkness, even magical darkness(devil sight invocation). Ananymos also has purple triquetras burned into it's hands, through which Ananymos is able to channel eldritch power, empowering it's eldritch blast cantrip(agonizing blast invocation).
Ananymos has taken it's personas too far, actually believing that they are real people and often having conversations at length with them.
Ananymos' personas don't have one race, one look. But they have their own way that they act, their own way that they talk.
Personas:
Red:
- Races/Looks: Red tends to be untrusted or evil races, such as Drow, Duergar, Tiefling, or Half-Orc. Sometimes when it is angry, it'll take the form of a horrible monster, such as a Werecreature, Thri-Kreen, Gnoll, or Sahaugin. It is always horribly disfigured in some way, partially hiding it with a piece of cloth or something like that, but leaving some of it exposed, so that others can look on with revulsion. It tends toward male forms.
- Description: Red is a complete sadist. It would shoot a man in Reno, just to watch him die. It is known in the criminal underworld of Sharn as a ruthless assassin who kills for sport. It is swift, silent, and deadly.
- Personality trait: I never felt a single thing from the day I was born until my first kill. Now I just cant stop.
- Ideals: Thrill. Without killing I'm dead inside. this is all I have.
- Bonds: My victims. the only connection I can make is with those I kill.
- Flaws: After every kill I am still left feeling empty inside. I will find fulfillment, even if I have to kill everyone in the whole world.
Blue:
- Races/Looks: Blue tends toward Dwarves, Tabaxi, Elves, and occasionally tries to pass off as a very tall halfling or gnome. It is always rosy cheeked and bright eyed, and a smile is always on it's face.
- Description: Blue is a constantly hyper, fast talking, energetic little jitterbug. It constantly takes risks and never talks with It's inside voice. Essentially, the opposite of Red.
- Personality Traits: I refuse to sit still, and I'm always fidgeting with something.
- Ideal: The voices speak to me and usually they forget to tell me about the rules.
- Bond: Once I set my eyes on something I like, I won't rest until I get it.
- Flaw: I say whatever comes to my mind.
Yellow:
- Races/Looks: Yellow tends towards races that are shunned by others, such as tieflings, kenku, genasi, or some of the more civilized monstrous races. It always looks as if it hasn't eaten or slept in days, and always has a fearful and sad look in it's eyes, like an orphaned runt puppy in the rain with 2 broken legs that just watched as the only person that ever loved it was eaten by a giant rabid dire half-dragon cyborg shark.
- Description: They want to get Yellow, yes they do! Very bad, very bad. What did poor Yellow do to them? Nothing. But they're trying to get It, It knows! They can't hide from It! Always lurking in the dark, waiting to strike. But Yellow won't let them, no It wont! It will stay forever vigilant, watching for them, so they can't get It! Yes It will.
- Personality Traits: They are always watching, and will never stop. You can't let them get you.
- Ideal: I’ll stop the spirits that haunt me or die trying.
- Bond: I must constantly strive to stop them, else they get me.
Merin was born into a life of slavery, though he never knew it. At a young age, he was whisked away from his homeland of Sarlona and taken to the continent of Khorvaire. His parent didn't last long on the airship, the sickness got to them and ravished what little strength they had left. A low-level priest on a diplomatic mission with The Church of the Silver Flame was on board that very ship, and with Marin's mothers dying wishes, he took him under his care. Once back in Thrane, the priest raised him as his own. Slowly, Johnathan Killigan made his way through the ranks of the Church. Enough so that he was able to give his adopted son a truly pleasant upbringing. He never wanted or needed for anything, but it wasn't like he did anyway. He was a caring child, who had desires but always put others before himself. Though, he was known to be a lover of games that challenged his mind and his pocketbook. Once he was old enough instead of going to Sharn to seek out an enclave of his family members he followed in Killigan's footsteps and entered the Church as a Cleric. It didn't take long for him to excel at all challenges put forth in front of him. The Path of Light was his birthright, the Silver Flame was his destiny. To stop the dark evil in this world, and then maybe he could think about this "Dreaming Dark" his mother's handwritten letter asked him to be aware of. The only dark he knew were those undead who hid in the shadows or the lycanthropes that preyed on the weak. He had his calling, his blood be damned. There were real threats to be dealt with...
"...Debts must always be paid, sometimes in more than blood and gold. But this is Ordo Ursa," Ren places his hand on Erakas's chest, right where the Dragonborn's heart is. "Right here. And it always has been and always will be. Don't ever forget that. Because I won't."
Serandis Mendaen (Aereni Elven Rogue/maybe one day Wizard)- Project Point Playtest
Out of curiosity, how would you feel about a Bladesinger that uses the Double Scimitar? I know the rules for Bladesinger say you cannot use two-hands, so it would have to be a house-rule thing, but I figured couldn't hurt to at least ask.
Name: Kinnik Nikt Age: 19 Race: Kenku Class: Rogue -> AT or UA Artificer; whichever makes for a more interesting party dynamic Desired Background: Criminal Moral Compass: Chaotic good Backstory: Kinnik lost everything on the Day of Mourning, but that's a tired story in Eberron. Without a home or a family he made his way northward and westward up the long, lonely road with a caravan of refugees. That didn't last more than a season before the group cast him out as bad luck, though. He's survived for the past several years on the rooftops of Fairhaven, a city not unlike his lost home in Cyre. He found a nice little roost for himself in the rafters of a dockside theater and has eked out a living as a pickpocket and general purpose thief ever since. Description of how they look: 5'2" crow person. Black beak, black eyes, blue-black feathers
So I'd be willing to let you use it, however, using the bonus action to make a second attack would end the Bladesong. However, if the campaign continues and you opt to take the Warcaster feat, I'd allow you to be able to use the bonus action to make the second attack with the Double-Scimitar.

Either works for me! I'd say keep it with your original post if only so I don't accidentally pick you twice... hah

Introduction

Title: The Rogue's Gallery
Description: You are part of a small-time gang in the seedy underbelly of Sharn.
Name: (If possible, include a last name.)
Age:
Race: (All are allowed)
Class: (All are allowed, UA Artificer is allowed, but you must be willing to commit to the official build when released.)
Desired Background: (You don't have to commit to the background. There are some extra background options in the Wayfinder's Guide you may not have access to atm.)
Moral Compass: (Basically, what your alignment is. You will not be forced to stay in alignment at all times. My only ban is chaotic/neutral evils. Lawful Evil is fine.)
Backstory: (A couple of lines about your character. You can keep it vague if you aren't sure about locations and such. Please include some information on your character's involvement (or lack thereof) in the Last War.)
Description of how they look: (If possible, you can simply link to a reference image.)
Thank you!
That was probably a lot of reading, but I want to make sure everyone knows what they are getting into. If you have any questions feel free to live them in thread. Again, you can post 2 characters. I will not review character concepts until 8/25/2018, so feel free to edit your characters to your heart's desire.

With your rule on the help action, does that eliminate a familiar's ability to perform the help action?
No. Help Action in combat (to grant advantage) still works as intended. Thanks for asking!
edit: added words to Help Action ruling so this is reflected. Help Action in combat grants advantage. No skill check required.

https://dicecloud.com/character/LZ4Tsh9wNQMnMMDTC/Rozk
Name: Fin
Age: 19
Race: Changeling
Class: Warlock (Archfey)
Desired Background: Charlatan
Moral Compass: Chaotic Neutral (Not the crazy CN)
Backstory: Fin was raised in an orphanage in the lower districts of Sharn and was always treated with distrust and suspicion by all the children (and even some of the staff), because of her race.

Here is my character.
Discord. Hasecoldfire#3361
Name: Daerlyn Starblues
Age: 40
Race: halfelf
Class: Ranger
Background: local hero
(nudge)
Also, be sure to include backstory info if you are posting a link to your sheet. Just reminding in case anyone forgot.

Name: Ananymos Unnown
Age: 36
Race: Changeling
Class: warlock of the great old one
Background: Acolyte
- Flaw: Everyone wants to get me, I just know.

Merins Killigan-k'althian
Kalashtar Cleric of the Silver Flame
LG
Background: Noble
Age: 29

LaRue,
Out of curiosity, how would you feel about a Bladesinger that uses the Double Scimitar? I know the rules for Bladesinger say you cannot use two-hands, so it would have to be a house-rule thing, but I figured couldn't hurt to at least ask.
Valaith "Rimehand" Kalukavi - Chronicles of Arden
Age: 19
Race: Kenku
Class: Rogue -> AT or UA Artificer; whichever makes for a more interesting party dynamic
Desired Background: Criminal
Moral Compass: Chaotic good
Backstory: Kinnik lost everything on the Day of Mourning, but that's a tired story in Eberron.

Hey Lyrel,
So I'd be willing to let you use it, however, using the bonus action to make a second attack would end the Bladesong. However, if the campaign continues and you opt to take the Warcaster feat, I'd allow you to be able to use the bonus action to make the second attack with the Double-Scimitar.
