Makes sense. Would be helpful to allow the characters owner to allow specific people customized access. I’m sure they’re working on it. :)

What about the converse? At the moment I've posted backstories for my characters but not sheets, largely because some of the content comes from sources I don't currently have (such as WGtE). But if it would help, I can create sheets that get as close as possible and just note the differences in the questionnaire. I don't know to what extent you're taking into account things like specific ability scores and skill proficiencies, etc. when forming groups.

@Adaxter: Right!? This is a song from Baccano! which is an amazing show btw. Its an oddly fantastical story that takes place over the course of like 3 different time periods. Its complex, but pretty rewarding if you can stick with it. Made by the same people who did Durarara!!! (which I haven't seen)

@Esker: Truthfully, I am not worried about the mechanics of anyone's characters. Just looking for characters that seem interesting!

I'll allow it, but the drawback has to be pretty substantial to let you get +con and spells from a feat you can't get just yet!

I haven't made character sheets for my two character options, are they required?  I don't recall.

Backstory: Vasha had a lively, fiery personality until her magical talents emerged. Her first spells were produced out of intuition. They were little distractions for pleasure, until she discovered how to focus and discharge her energies. The first time she manifested powers beyond a momentary flash, it was like a lightning bolt had ripped through her and left her nerves tingling. The experience left her wanting more. Accidents were bound to happen, and she ended up losing her home in a fire. It didn't matter, though. She still had the power she so desperately clung to. Rumors swirl in back allies about the girl who would kill a man for a simple cleansing stone just to see if she can suck out the enchantment.
Description of how they look: To say Vasha looks rough would be like saying a slaughthouse has a few dead bodies. She's a lithe, half-starved street rat, dressed in tattered rags which bear the marks of several close encounters with magical mishaps. She still has the fire in her eyes from her youth. In public, she forms illusionary cantrips almost subconsciously to keep from view. Her hands are quick and her words are poison as she does whatever she can to feel just a bit more magic in her hands.

No one has to make character sheets until they are picked. I think some people just make them or have them ready already.

I like to use the ability scores to practice making the full character.  Call me crazy, but I enjoy it.

  Oh gotcha! I didn't have the guide so I wasn't sure how the mechanics worked. I'm more interested from it in a story context anyway, so maybe he can just have a tiny aberrant mark and then it will get stronger once he's able to take the actual feat. Although now that I'm looking, an agent of house medani might make more sense anyway, hmmmm

Ditto what Knight said.  Thanks a bunch for keeping us informed.  Can't wait to hear what sort of groups you settle on, even if you don't pick either of my characters.  Lots of good options here.

The tension is killing me...

I have been working on a Sharn one-shot to DM when visiting my in-laws in a couple of weeks. My 11 year old loves D&D so we are trying to involve the grandparents. I would be so excited to play in an Eberron campaign.
