As the group makes their way into this new section of the tunnel, Immotichey notices that something has caught the eye of the warlock. He slows his pace and gives the flora a look. He focuses his efforts on the purplish fungus, looking over it intently and giving them a sniff to see if there may be some scent to indicate a warning against using it.
Arthasis walked up to Immotichey tapped him on the shoulder and said, "Well, maybe we can find somthing to eat here? What do you think?" He had absolutley no knowledge of such things, when he needed food before he just bought it. It was a new experience to be depended on what the environment was provding him.

Eldreth would see the two looking over the fungus, giving it a hard look before her eyes went wide, suddenly remembering just as Immotichey began to sniff. Previously it had been too focused on digesting it's last meal but the sniff sent static electricity shooting through the fungi.....
Evrik, however, would glean nothing, the spore network itself was not intelligent, it was like a phone. He would however notice that they seemed to have moving tendrils, that waved ever so slowly, as if under the ocean in a calm tide.
He just knew it, they were to beautiful. The fungi brimmed with electrical energy and their tendrils seemed to be closing in on the group. The warlock reacted fast and focused his arcane powers on the fungus (#1) closest to him trying to hit it with an Eldritch Blast. Attack: 12 Damage: 4
“Watch out guys these things are a lot more alive than I expected.”, he shouted befor getting some distance between him the aggressors.

Eldreth would shout as the Fungi began to writhe, preparing to strike as they were awoken from thier slumber "Ye gotta be careful down 'ere! Everythin' except the walls are tryna kill ye, and sometimes the walls try too!" Her warhammer coming down as she spread out to allow the ranged more room to fire.

The fungus partially crumpling under the force of the blow.
Evrik digs through his memories once more, recalling the old passages along with the mental image of the priestess bringing the weapon to bear and pulls out the Tentacle Rod and sets his will on lashing out at three of the four mushrooms. (A1: 12 D1: 5, A2: 13 D2: 3, A3: 26 D3: 4)

The first of the Violet Funguses collapses, emitting a shrill, but non harmful wheezing shriek. Your blades coated with decomposing meat that fiulled it's innards. The other three seeming almost ready to lash out.

Lumberjack Chubby approaches one of the other violet funguses and from as far away as he dares, takes a wide swing at it (expending a superiority die on it, making a battlemaster Menacing Attack):
Attack: 16 Damage: 8 + an additional 7 damage from the Menacing Attack.
DM, the fun-guy must make a WIS saving throw now:
Menacing Attack: When you hit with a weapon attack, you can expend one superiority die to add the total to the damage roll and the target must make a WIS saving throw (DC 13). On failure, it is frightened of you until the end of your next turn.

"Ya think?" Cade cracks wise after seeing the fungi "spring" to action. With a guttural growl and sudden fire in his eyes, Cade rushes to the next undamaged fungus aiming to crush it once, and then twice in quick succession. As he does, one could almost swear there's a music backdrop accompany the vigorous assault.
Bonus Action: Cade activates Warrior's Spirit! gaining 5temporary hit points (last till depleted or his next rest) and adv. on all attacks for the round. (Fighting Spirit).
Cade forgoes advantage on his first attack to immediately attack again.
Hammer Attack: 10 Damage: 8.
Quick Strike: 23 Damage: 5.
Shuushar has long since placed all of his fingers against against his temple after the group first slowed(stopped?) at the fungi. Rather or not this was to recall something, or in anticipation of the inevitable conflict is impossible to say. Either way, outside of disengaging as necessary to avoid the tendrils, he was out of it for the time being.

The fungus that Cade attacked barely felt the blow, it's 'head' swinging wildly it's tendrils coiling as it felt the eldritch magic, it began rocking violently, a low screech emitting from it's pores just as his brother fungus mocked Chubby's attempt to scare it by simply dying instead, chopped in half, bits and pieces of the fungus falling onto chubby's left arm, and stinging a bit but otherwise causing no visible harm.

Arthasis eldritch spell however, had attracted the Violet Fungi's attention, both of them now retching and screeching, as if convulsing. Suddenly lashing out at him. The first remaining Fungi that Cade had attacked, lashing out with four of it's tendrils, the first one landing solidly across his leg dealing 3 damage, the rest he managed to dodge or missed on their own.
The second Fungi missing all together, as it's wounds were nearly mortal. Crying out as more rotten necrotic meat poured out from it's gullet.
(Stupid editor... anyways the post originally is as I described, Arthasis takes 3 damage)
Eldreth let out another battle cry as she swung with her warhammer, trying to finish off the wounded one before it could act. "Die ye filthy basterd, les ye foul up me mood aneh moree."
A- 14 - D- 10
Her hammer splattering it against the wall like a melon. Suddenly remembering, she would add "Ach! Don't be lettin' it touch ye! it-tisnt as harmful as the ooze, but it will turn your flesh necrotic if allowed teh linger, and your body'll become the fertilizer fer a new one. Th' fact 'at there's four e're means atleast three unlooky souls perished 'ere. N there's one left, lets finish it and be on our way, perpetual darkness be burnin'! N we have places tae be!"

Stepping free of the splash zone as Eldreth's hammer lands the crushing blow, Evrik exclaims in response, "There'll be no more fodder for them today lass!" He then unleashes all three tentacles of the Drow weapon upon the final gilled creature. (A1: 26 D1: 2, A2: 20 D2: 6, A3: 28 D3: 3)

The last fungus on it's final leg, writhes slowly as if in convulsions again. it's voice no longer sounding out.
whoever deals 1 or more damage to it and it's 5 AC kills it. Posting the next tunnel area since i'm sure you're gonna kill it before it's next turn is up. Unless you all nat 1, which would be hilarious.
As the final fungi falls, Eldreth would wipe her brow of the light sweat that had accumulated. "Unfortunately, those are some o' the weakest creetures down here in the underdark. The drow be only a wee bit above them outside thier compounds. But let us be away, if I ken right, we've probably been walkin' nigh a kwarter dae. N we shuld atleast make it a full day away from the outpost 'afore settin up camp, I think. So let us press on. Though feel free tae admire the lichen, it's one of the rare beauties down 'ere."
Then, fallign abck in line, the group could linger or press on. If they continued forward, the tunnel would thin out once more, slowly as they passed the lichen glowing passage with the now deceased Violet Fungi. They could look around for things of interest, though it's unlikely they'll find much aside from the Lichen itself.
Should you all choose to press on, the tunnel ahead would prove to be fairly bland, and otherwise have nothing of note, it taking you roughly another hour or two to reach the end of it's winding pathways. Once more the tunnel branches, this time in three directions. The tunnel to the right seeming to go downward, closer to the center of the planet, the one directly ahead instead leading upwards. The one to the left staying level but winding almost directly south.
Chubby: "Harumph...that tunnel to the north is ominous. If we wanna get outta here, that's going down...the opposite direction. Either directly ahead, or the tunnel to the south. Either way is good with me. Crispy's tingling senses tell her to the south, and I trust her. To the south, then?"
The lizardman's hand becomes engulfed in flame and then he releases it toward the remaining fungus.
Attack 18, Damage 3
"I guess I got a little too close there. However, I believe that we can't pass the opportunity to search for the plant life here for possible sources of food." He says somewhat embarrassed to the group. Looking at the choices of the path ahead, the druid offers, "Looks can be deceiving, so I have no suggestion on which path to take. However we should pick up the pace some. The drow are not likely to forget about us."
As the group makes their way into this new section of the tunnel, Immotichey notices that something has caught the eye of the warlock. He slows his pace and gives the flora a look.
