Jasmine, the red glow is growing larger with every step down the spiraling staircase and by level two it covers almost all of your vision upon reaching the third level you can see it continues on likely towards the 5th level of the archives.

There are three arches standing on the edge of the small platform that stands out from the stairwell (the stairwell led into a mildly larger room with a wood platform and the three doors) and there’s the respective numbers of the sections on each door arch with a faint purple-ish candle light coming from the arches.

Dasolis will choose to pass through the arch showing Section 2. Once there she will take a glance around, trying to get her bearing as to how to find the book she is looking for. (Perception if needed: 8)
It’s surprisingly messy but in a controlled manner. Generally everything related to a specific topic seems to be in a general clump of one to two rows and those rows are organized by specific subtopics then author. The magical artifacts are scattered throughout though… so maybe it’s not the best maintained state of organization.

There are two floors as well and there’s an arch with a one within sight on the lower floor far to the left. In between where the second floor is on the sides (it’s basically an overlook type thing if I’m using that term correctly jut got back from a run so I might be wrong about that) there are tons of floating candles and the occasional half sphere constructs flitting about between the massive shelves below.

Dasolis tries to find a way down to where she can see the arch with the one, presuming that must be the section number. If one is there then she hopes two will be close by. She also tries to take a look to get an idea of the subject matter of the section she is in. Looking for The Second Great Tectonic Collapse, she figures a topic about geography of the Abyss might be the right place to look. (Investigation: 12)

For some reason my response to this post did not go through.
After thinking for a bit Jasmine returns up to ask about the 5th level of the archives and what's in there.

((Sorry if I didn’t make it clear enough but you’re currently in section 2 and the section are basically thirds of a giant circle, hence the doorway arches with respective numbers))
Geography is on the overlook towards the far left wall. There are maps there visible, strewn against the wall, so at least it’s most likely geography related.

The librarian laughs a light laugh. "Stuff even I don't know about, my clearance ends at 4. Luthe has higher access alongsides his wife(Jade) and Edgar. But I do know that the main construct, the large one responsible for security is the main form of transport for particularly sentient items. Last month there was an orb imported that upon contact with sentient life would slowly immolate their minds to feed it's energy source. But the rest is mostly dangerous tomes and knowledge that could take over minds, have another Scalzar's tome moment, risk even Maruts coming after the one who holds some of them, and similarly ridiculously potent magic items and dangerous knowledge. Hope that answered your question sweetie."
She goes back to organizing books and handing them to the sphere constructs to fly back to their proper places.

Jasmine coldly asks her, "Did you know there's a tome that's somehow both holy and unholy down there? Really potent magic too, I could sense it all the way from the first level. I would highly recommend you get someone with actual Level 5 Clearance to look into that."
Seeing the maps, Dasolis makes her way over to that side, starting to skim through the books to see what is there. And trying to see if she can narrow in on the book she is looking for.

"Well, most paladins or otherwise similarly magically endowed in divine tend to avoid this place due to the lower levels of the archive giving off... headaches to best describe it. But there are very few things counted as both consecrated and malevolent. My best guess is you were near proximity to one powerful artifact of one kind of some sort of magic item instilled with a memory and there was another more powerful item likely the desecrated object you speak of that you can sense. My guess is that your senses might also be overwhelmed by all the different magical signatures here, but there's only one thing that would radiate an aura of menace and malevolence so severe. That orb I talked about recently it had just been secured but if it had somehow managed to come into contact with another item with sentience it could've possibly... no that's preposterous." The librarian pauses for a while and when you presumably gesture at her for further details she gives in. "What I was going to say is it could've possessed an object without complete immolation and is planning to use that object to extend it's reach. Luckily none of the constructs have sentience or we'd all be doomed."

Noelle casually searches the books to see if she can find anything by her grandfather.
There's only roughly four you can find scattered among the grandiose walkways and paths lined with books, knowledge and magic all overflowing in such capacity it would rival even the grand halls of the Tapizae capitol. But you do notice the hairs on your paws standing on end and goosebumps forming on your body as you pass through the passages between shelves, there's loud thumping coming your way. How do you respond, Noelle? Hide? Run? Face it? Fight it? Or freeze in front of it?
(P.S this isn't the boss I warned you all about earlier. You have to wait until you actually explore the layers to find it)

Yup you find it really quickly, though having to go all to the end of the overlook to grab the sliding stairs to grab it from the fifth shelf up was greatly annoying. No problems and some pretty simple stuff the book is about something when tectonic plates got directly lined up with the ley lines of the overworld and untold destruction hailed from it. Kingdom's were erased and completely swallowed by the earth, species and entire civilization's and their histories. Gone. In less than an hour.
The pictures make you want to close your eyes with how brutal they are... (Sorry if any of this makes y'all uncomfortable tell me that and I'll take it down more than I did) Stones imbedded in skulls half the size, people's bodies so... so, flat that their bones and skin look like one. There's also the large chasm and the swirling magic in it's center looking like an eye, staring at the carnage it had caused. And then there's the woman... her spine lay out as her family try to pull her out from under--you slam the book shut, shaken by the images you've seen. All of that was just one image captured by a wizard to their spell book before they too were swallowed by the earth. You don't want to open the book again, ever, the scientific explanation and connection to Damien's research can wait--and the possibility of it happening again, if the ley line's ever do realign with tectonics again...

"Alright, Level 3," Dasolis announces once they arrive at that floor. She then moves out from the stairwell, trying to find Section 2.
