“First order of business is designating a group leader. Now before you say anything, no that does not mean that you don’t get a say. It just means that, in the case of an emergency or otherwise difficult situation, the group leader is responsible for the members of their unit.” She gestures down at the table full of paper and documents. “Make good choices. I’ll do the rest.”
”Though,” she gestures towards Arazel’s group. “Despite his seniority, Arazel you are in charge of your group. Arven’s tendency to follow his gut will be wrong one of these days and I know you’ll be much better at making decisions with your brain rather than heart. Also give him this letter. He’s probably already picked a fight with some poor demon that managed to claw its way to the surface.”
With the mention of a briefing, Dasolis follows Carrow and goes inside. When he asks about a group leader, she speaks up. "I do not know if others may wish to, but I could take that on if the others agree." In her mind she rules out Bjorn immediately but looks to Noelle and Jasmine for their thoughts. "I certainly am not the strongest, nor would it be wise for me to be at the forefront of fighting, but I can certainly try and look out for everyone."
Noelle looks to the others for a second and says "I'm fine with that, unless someone else wants to do it. I'm used to working on my own, so I'm not really the best choice to be responsible for others."
Jasmine says, "I do not mind following orders but I also don't mind being a Leader. I am alright with having everyone else's wellbeing be my responsibility."
As the discussion happens, the group hears commotion outside. Before any have a chance to react, a man is shoved onto the ground in front of you. He starts to get up but seemingly decides against it and lays down right there on the ground. A closer inspection of the man is unneeded, as his outfit is incredibly flashy. His bright pink hair spikes up like a massive forest. His open jacket matched the color. His undershirt is pure white, but he has many colored accessories, including some “gold” ones. You can see the whisps of a spiritual presence near him and a strange odor masked by perfume. His hands are chained together and a guard follows, shouting at him before leaving quickly.
The man sighs and stares straight up at Bjorn, the closest to him. He speaks, “Wassup big guy, ya’ll been on some trouble here too? Ehy, it happens to the best of us. Don’t know what I’m s’posed to do, but I’ll do whatever.”
He slurs his words, talks with a lisp, and has a semi deep voice. He seems like he’s probably high but no drugs can be sensed. A voice speaks out from outside, “Careful with this one. He’s not all right up in the head”
Bjorn looks down at the man, at first saying nothing. Then he speaks. "That hairstyle... is such a thing possible?" He crouches down. "You must reveal the secrets of your hair," He says in awe.
Jasmine also leans but in her case, it's to try and see if the man is alright and needs help. "Do you need any help? What happened to you?" She asks while trying to pull the man up to his feet.
"Wonderful. Why did no one tell me he was going to be assigned to your unit." Jade Carrow looks genuinely shocked at the sight of the man laying on the floor before you all “That changes nothing, only having a lunatic who's been placed at guilt for 3 murders and can set his whole body on fire and "talk to the dead" on your team. Go on with the vote. Whoever's group leader will also have to watch him."
"Also Kellin, for once in your life be smart." She rubs her eyes in annoyance and adjusts her glasses. "You records don't show it and now seeing you in personally I can say with certainty neither do you."
Kellin accepts the hand and dusts himself off. “Listen J, yall know….yall know that stuff ain’t me. I was framed by a dead guy. And you, big guy, all ya need to do is buy my shampoo (for 209 gold pieces) and apply this schtuff daily. Color is optional. You need it, call me, my guy.”
He leans against the table and swallows something you can’t quite see. “Ahhh alright. Those [redacted] didn’t get all my pills!”
Earlier, Dasolis had given a nod to Jasmine. "Well, you can certainly lead if you wish. It is no great desire of mine." She then hears the arrival of yet another member of their company as Kellin is unceremoniously dumped outside. She goes to see what is happening.
The pink - all the pink - is quite a lot. She glances at her own clothing, much more subtle purples and pinks, and decides she happy with her own style. 'But to each their own,' she thinks. When Carrow reveals more information about this Kellin, she nods her head slowly. "Triple murderer is perhaps not the best of traits. But maybe talking to the dead could be useful. Lighting your body on fire - I'll reserve judgement on how helpful that talent is. I imagine a person could put that to use somehow." She mulls it over a moment, then simply says, "Welcome to the team Kellin."
Kellin turns around, swishing his jacket. He catches himself on the table and nods at Dasolis. “Thanks, ehh…Dull.” He looks at the subtle coloring. “Dull.” “Now, cmon, do I look like a murderer?”
"Yes," Dasolis say simply in reply to Kellin. "But evidently that does not matter so much here. My name however is 'Dasolis'. You seem to be mispronouncing it."
Jade speaks up. “For starters, you,” she glares at Kellin. “Your job is to not get everyone killed. And maybe if possible be of assistance to your fellow unit members.”
“We can get back to the vote when you know what you’re up against a bit better. But for now I should probably interrupt this conversation before it takes too much time off of both of our hands.”

"So you were picked to be in the dive unit. I've designated you two groups MUL-5 and MUL-1. Your jobs are really the most dangerous. You pretty much are the "combat groups" typically. Your job is mostly to explore and figure things out often moving without the assistance of portals to find paths through the layers and document threat in your notes. A secondary mission that is also expected is essentially escorting weaker units less trained for combat throughout the layers. Typically they can handle their own though so we try to prioritize dives.
"My husband and Damien a while ago had started some sort of project to help your units specifically but it won't be ready for a while. So for now you'll have to deal with the grueling trouble of dragging yourselves back up through the layers or to the further outposts we've started setting up on mildly habitable layers. Currently we only have a few though and they're very few and far between so don't get your hopes up."
"Now before I get into any of the more," Jade waves her hands. "Detail specific parts of the mission. Is there any questions you have about your unit's functions specifically?"

Looking good! Love the theme! Might have to use the crafting idea in a future canpagin.

Kellin stares at her a second before nodding his head, a fast, jerking motion. “Yeah, Dullsis”
”So! What’re we doing?” He turns around to face the entire group.
Jasmine looks at their newcomer warily. "Er... we were deciding who should be the official leader of our group"
Jade speaks up. “For starters, you,” she glares at Kellin. “Your job is to not get everyone killed. And maybe if possible be of assistance to your fellow unit members.”
