Vorin finds both the longsword and the ring. You will all be able to attune both of your items on the journey over. For now, we will continue on with the story and HuskMaiden can pick Olgha's items in their next post.
You return to Dorin, new equipment in hand. "I hope you have found what you need. I'll have this guard escort you down to the stables and set you up with horses and a cart. A few things though, before you go. Lohse's shack is located deep in the woods, and you will have to venture by foot once the path can take you no further. Stay on your guard in those woods. Strange things lurk about, especially with the vampires. There have also been reports of a werewolf patrolling the forest and attacking on sight. The shack itself will be guarded by golems meant to deter unwanted adventurers that will respond only to her word. But now you must go. I wish you good luck."
With that, he ushers you off with the guard to the stables, where you find a cart and set off on your journey. After only 2 hours on the road, you see a familiar face on the side of the road. Skeer. He stares at you as you approach, but his mouth remains silent.
"Werewolf..." Vadania's voice trails off. She thinks "Could it be... No! It's not possible. " She shakes the thoughts off. "If it's a werewolf, I can handle it... I can match it in strength" She reassures herself.
Vannithos regards Skeer calmly as they move closer, glancing towards Engelheart and Olgha since they seem the most magically inclined among them. "Does this look like another illusion to you?"
"Let us find out" Engelheart hops off the cart and approaches the Skeer person or thing and trys to get a good glimpse of it (Investigation: 9) "Task accomplished as I am sure you are well aware of." Engelheart moves closer to Skeer, "So what's the next job and more importantly, payment for the last one? Thrall hunting does take its toll on the money pouch you know." Engelheart tosses an empty coin purse towards Skeer, non threateningly, but trying to get the pouch to contact Skeer (like the act of catching or hitting bidy if he doesn't attempt a catch), or the image of.
The coin purses passes through Skeer, and lands on the ground behind him. "Task accomplished? Hardly. The task was for you to be killed, but that's hardly of any importance now. Though I must admit, you all have an exceptional prowess for combat. So much talent, and for what? To escort a little boy to his mother, because some bigwig up in the castle told you to? Do you even really know any of these people, and what their motives are? You are a pawn in their game, and they will cast you aside at the first chance."
He pauses, then walks around Engelheart to lean on the side of the cart. "They care only for themselves, not the common man like you and I. So when someone like me decides to threaten their power, they try and pit us against each other to make us forget they were problem. Perhaps you should reconsider where your allegiance lies. Your loyalty will be tested the next time we meet."
"Kill us? I don't remember that being in the job description. Plus it woukd really put a damper on our social lives." Engelheart walks over and picks up his coin pouch as Skeer walks around. "Was worth a shot getting paid."
"You think we are doing anything because they told us too? My good man you really do have some people skills to work on, and if you think any of us here as common folk, expecally yourself, well, the question of your sanity is answered."
You continue on the path, and eventually reach the point you must carry on by foot. Its almost night by now, and there's only about an hour left in the day. As you step foot into the woods, the sun is immediately blocked out by the treetops, and only slivers of light shine through. There is an eerie ambiance, and it feels like an entirely different world from the one you came. A loud howl can be heard coming from somewhere deep in the woods.
Roughly an hour after you entered the woods, you hear snarls coming from your left. You see two dire wolves emerge from the trees, and a wight behind them adorned with a red amulet. It unsheathes its sword, geared to attack. Roll for initiative.
"Red Amulet. Is this more of Skeer's work?" Vadania gets her new axe ready. Seeing as how this one is magic, she is confident she can cut down undead much more efficiently with this.
((We are, I'll PM them real quick. Seeing as it's already been a few days though, I suppose we'll just put them at the bottom of the initiative order and hope they can get back in time.))
Vadania growls and begins growing to full 7ft again. Her clothes that are normally loose, tightens to fit her body snugly. She then charges straight at the Wight, swinging her axe down at the thing's neck.

[OOC: Hi. I need to press pause for a while. I’ve recently taken on new responsibilities at work, and until I settle into the new rhythm, I’m constantly on the road driving and often out of reception. I’ve barely seen my kid this past week. I don’t want to stall the adventure, but right now, continuing would just add to the strain. Please feel free to NPC Olgha for the time being, if needed. I’m deeply sorry. :( ]
(OOC: I’m sorry for my absence. It’s been a crazy week for me and I just haven’t been able to focus. I should be back to a normal posting schedule this week, but I’ll stick to the bottom of initiative for now since that’s simpler.)

Vadania will attempt to do the same with her item too.
Vorin’s looking for sweet and simple options. A +1 longsword and a ring of protection.
