Tisnip will nod somberly and let the spell drop early. Not what she wanted but nothing's perfect. Without turning her back she'll call back to her party, "Get back and stay together. Let them leave." And to the leader, "Is there another way out from the way we came in?"
The leader will motion for her people to gather their things and thier wolf and they cautiously leave the room, and head out into the cold again. The leader stays still, not taking her eyes off of Tisnip. Once all of her tribe are safe she will say, "Why you strangers come to my mountain? Why you come to this place? If you want to live, you should go."
Tisnip will hold the leader's gaze while keeping her ears turned to her own group, making sure the moving goes without a hitch. "We won't stay in this mountain long, we'll quickly be on our way as soon as we conduct our business. There's a great evil that has a hold over this land and we intend to stop it." She'll try to sound as confident as she can while she says it, so far their journey hasn't gone terribly well.
Thrash would take a step sideways, sneering at them as they walk past... his teeth bared and fist squeezing the hilt of his sword tightly. He would position himself a little ways between the mountain folk and Rajiira.. not only to protect her from them.. but also them from her. Then, after they leave the cave, Thrash would yell to Alustine "Hey, you got any songs about jerk smelly mountain people!" shooting him a smile.
There are two closed doors in this room, that look like they have been roughly barricaded from this side. The female warrior leader points to the Northern door, "Bad things that way, we keep it shut, you should too." and she turns to go.
Rajiira chuckles as thrash asks why, and she knows he's trying to compliment her or somethign similar, but says Because Rajiira wishes to look dashing. Raar!
After it seems the fight was truly over, she would relax, her shoulders slumping, having been tensed far more than they should have been, and stows her bow, and collects her arrows, except the one stuck in the leaders knee. Rajiira took stock of the area.. the warm fire (OOC: I think there was a fire, if not ignore this portion) would be welcomed, even for her, who was barely effected by the cold thanks to her thick fur. She looked at both doors, and almost felt sorry for the barbarians, if not for the wounds she had been dealt, she would have asked them to stay. But they could **** off for all she cared now.
Rajiira broke free of Thrashes' hold once they left, and entered the room proper where they had been, and looked around it. If nothing else, it would be warmer for those who didn't have her natural protection. It would allow them to rest and recover.
Rajiira thinks we should rest for a bit.. we just scaled a mountain, and I'm sure some limbs ache, from wounds or cold or exertion. her eyes fell with pity on the Gnome, as he likely had the most trouble of the group in that regard. However, what do you all wish to do from here? Shall we rest? if so or if not, shall we ignore their advice? or shall we heed it? shall we explore the other door and leave the Northern door alone? Or.. shall we simply continue on our way? This place was a place of great power, one of oyu said.. I apologize, as I cannot remember which... we could gain great power here.. or.. we could all die.
Probably best if we we both in, and out of character say what we want to do. OOCly in a spoiler like this so that it's easier for the DM to know what we're doing next. I'll follow the groups lead.
Thrash would sit by the fire, warming his claws and placing the tip of his sword into the coals of the fire. As Rajiira asks what people plan to do next, he would look up towards the others. "Well I am already bloodied... I may as well get something out of it... I say we see what we can find in this place and try to find anything we can use against Strahd" After finishing his sentence, he will pull the glowing tip of his sword out of the fire and place it over the open wound on his chest, wincing only slightly as the sword smokes and sizzles against his scales.
***I mean we have a fire... I am at 23 / 35 hp so either rest would probably fix me up so whatever people want to do. Thrash has an eyepatch to make..... Does Rajiira have any preference as to what the eye patch should look like?***
You all rest by the fire for an hour, getting the cold of the mountain out of your bones. There is some food and warm bed wraps left from the previous occupants. Looking through the items left over you actually find a set of Hide Armor that was left behind, as well as three javelins, and some torches.
Rajiira looks over the bedrolls, and says We should probably take these... if they were made by those people and they live up here.. they will keep those of you wearing skin comfortable during your resting. They'll be superior to whatever you have now. She looked past the hide armor, as her own armor was superior, she left the Javelins alone, sure that someone would likely take them. And she grabbed a torch, adding it to her pack.. she might not need it to see.. but if she ever needed to light something on fire.....
Tisnip will sit on the far side of the fire, silent and deep in thought. She'll refuse to look over as the others rifle through the leftover belongings of the mountain people. They already had so little and here they are, going through it like a discount bin at the general store. "We need to be more careful." She'll say it quietly, knowing that they'll hear it anyway. "This could've ended in a slaughter. I wasn't so far back I didn't hear you--" Tisnip will point to Thrash, then to OTC. "--and you burst in on them loudly and inappropriately. We aren't completely free from blame for how this encounter went."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rajiira would pat Thrash on the shoulder, and look at him apologetically. She does have a point. Rajiira remembers telling Thrash to not look threatening.. walking up to peopel with a weapon drawn is essentially a challenge, or threat handsome ebon-scale. We need to try to avoid fighting atleast when it comes to other um... non-monsters, this-one supposes would be the appropriate word. Rajiira, too, took the path of aggression, but only after they agressed towards us. Her words weren't meant to be accusatory.
Though she would also speak to Tisnip Rajiira is thankful for your help before Tisnip, when Rajiira was on deaths door. However this one thinks your worldview may be a bit Naive.... We are in a strange land. We were forced here by the lord of this land. We do not know who is friend nor who is foe. Perhaps even the villagers are enemies, who lied to us to send us to our deaths. Like you.. I would prefer the peaceful end in all encounters, and they were not approached in the most peaceful manner... However, at the same time, Thrash did not charge at them, or attack them, until after they attacked us. Which means they took the same action as him.
You have to be just as ready to kill as you are to parlay. You also must realize.. if they truly needed these things she says, spinning in an 2 semi-elegant twirl as she pointed to all the abandoned items in the room... They would have grabbed them as they left. Perhaps this is an camp they use like a lodge, and these things are left here for convenience, perhaps Rajiira is wrong.. perhaps Rajiira is not. However, they live here... these are the conditions they are used to. These conditions are not the same for our comrades like them... she says, indicating the ones who needed the bards spell just to stay warm And I'm sure even he will run out of energy eventually if he has to constantly recast his spell all day while we are here. We need this, more than they do.
After the wound on his chest has closed up, Thrash will scoop up the 3 javelins and put them on his back before setting down by the fire one more and pulling out his leatherworking kit. After digging through for a moment, he would pull out a few thin black leather straps, as well as a slightly larger leather piece that could be cut to cover Rajiira's eye. As Thrash starts to cut the patch to cover the eye, he notices the Hide armor. Scratching his chin a moment, Thrash will make his way over to the armor and cut off a section of one of the hides that appeared to have a nice spotted pattern. Once returning to his seat, he would work to shape and stain the hide so that it was a deep grey color with a few black spots. The colors would be so close that you would have to look closely to realize it was not all pure black. Then, fishing through his leather working kit once more, he would punch 3 holes in the patch and insert silver colored Grommets, that would prevent the leather straps from tearing from the patch. Adding three grommets would allow the wearer to secure the patch with three straps instead of only two for added stability if needed... once the stitching on the edges of the patch and the straps were secured properly, he would then pull out a small flask of oil and give the leather a quick shine before inspecting it one last time. After inspecting his work and finding it to be up to his standards, he would stand up and move to Rajiira. "Here you go... " Thrash would extend his open hand towards the Tabaxi with eye patch resting in his palm. "Just promise me you won't decide to cover any more of your face any time soon alright" A large toothy grin spreading across his face.
(damn lol, I posted at the same time as Rajiira. Hope you like the patch.) Thrash, who was more focused on his work than the conversation around him will perk up. "I had my sword drawn yes... you bet your ass I did... but I had my sword and my shield out with my arms wide, leaving myself open for attack to show that while I meant no harm to them... I also was not prey walking into a den of wolves.." A small smile would come to his face... "I mean... it was kind of literally a wolves den... there was a wolf after all... " Then Thrash would look to Tyriok "I think that wolf could have swallowed you whole friend!"
(Thrash can make things every short rest I believe.... I mean.. an eye patch isn't any of those things but If I can make a shield in a short rest, I should be able to make an eye patch I think lol)

As part of a short rest, you can create a shield, club, javelin, darts, or blowgun needles from materials from slain creatures.

**did you guys want to take a rest? Long or short?**

(nah she's not picky, though black always makes for the best patches. And I only took around 10 HP damage so a short would be fine with me too.)
