"Ahh...well met, stranger! And welcome to our newly formed band of mis-fit toys! It's almost like the start of a really bad joke...A human, a gnome, a dwarf, a lizard, a cat, and a devil all go for a walk in the woods...By the nine hells, this may be an epic story. Thank goodness you have a bard with you to capture the tale and spread it across the lands." At this point the fog clears a little, and Alustine glimpses what looks like a village in the distance. "And the tale will start in yonder village! Come, my fellow strangers, let's go find out where we are!"
Trash will wave to the Tiefling "Sorry, I did not catch your name!" Then turn his head to the opening in the mist. "Yesss, let us get out of his missst" He will start walking that direction, tail swinging rapidly.
After just a moment's deliberation Tisnip will put her shield away and shake Thrash's hand. "All right then. Well met." She shudders as a breeze blows by, grimacing around the forest but looking utterly relieved when she spots a village not too far away. "Oh good, civilization. I hope they have a tavern, you get all the best information in taverns." Tisnip will hurry after the others after being sure that no one's left behind. "Straight ahead, Only-The-Cold! I'm sure you can follow our noisy group easily."
Only-The-Cold heads over to the village with everyone else. She smells around, and makes clicking noises with her tongue, listening to the sound bouncing off of surfaces(some blind people actually do this).

Rajiira re-holsters her bow as the group all seems to be moving in one direction towards the village in the mist, and maintaining her stealth trailing the pack, except for apparently Tisnip. her motions were swift, deliberate, and quiet. But she did not sense danger from the newcomer yet.
As they made their way, she seemed to walk just a little faster than the rest suddenly, moving towards the part of the group where the lizardfolk, would be. Her body would move easily sideways at a natural pace as she shifted her head forward, her face well within his personal space. Her eyes locked with his, even if his did not lock with hers. Then, shhe would finally say, after several moments of silence, "You ask for names, but do not give your own first. Is it not proper to introduce ones self, before requisitioning anothers?" her visage was a flush of various expressions all vying for dominance. In a mixture of raw curiosity, uncertainty, thoughtfulness, and other similar. "You may call this one Rajiira. Now who are you you?" she said without hostility, but it was obvious a cavalcade of thoughts were racing through her head. She also seemed to be studying him (Insight: 21) seeing if he was truly as innocent as he appeared, if his intentions were hidden. Despite this, her curiosity seemed more innocent, than hostile, in fact perhaps there was a bit of unusual interest?
Continuing with a few more questions, she would say "You will forgive me if I am not fully ..." she rolled her paw-like hand as if searching for the right word, before settling on something else in it's place "Willing to trust at the drop of a tail, someone appearing from the mist so conveniently, and acting so harmless. Perhaps you are, perhaps you are not." she said with an admitting shrug, both eyes closing for a moment, before she would step in front of him, walking backwards then at pace, and pressing her nose against his, both eyes locking with both of his. "I ask these and say this, because everyone here, was not here before. We were elsewhere, and now we are not. We find ourselves in a strange place, shrouded, the only one not from there, but came from here, or at-least near here, is you~"
Thrash, after hearing Rajirra provide her name and ask him why he did not provide his will slightly grin, embarrassment flooding his face. I apologize for not providing my name earlier. My name is Trash. Growing up, most people did not want to know my name... they had their own names for me. Thrash's eyes will darken as anger flashes across his face for a moment before he can regain his composure. But those names were not earned and those people were ignorant weaklings. After a short pause, Trash will lock eyes with Rajiira. "My Mother valued only strength and taught me that the world is full of Predators and prey... She would often question which one best described me.... His eyes shifting to the dirt path beneath his black scaled feet. My father on the other hand, taught me that while strength was important.... It is what you do with it that matters. He taught me that it was my responsibility to protect those weaker than myself... To put the needs of others before my own..... That while my teeth, claws, and my natural armor help me to be strong, real strength is choosing to use those gifts to shield those that may be softer and squishier than myself. That is why I am here. I was trying to make it to town to offer aid and collect a few trophies along the way.
Trash will give Rajirra another gentle smile and while nose to nose with her he will lock eyes with her and sheepishly whisper.... This is the first time anyone has really shown any interest in me or listened to anything I have had to say. I am just a Lizardfolk looking to get stronger through helping others... well... mostly anyway...
Trash Will then turn from her and continue walking to the village
OOC: I am not sure what to roll against insite. I will roll persuasion 0 I guess. Also, when only-the-cold gave me a sniff to determine what I was... it would have come back MOSTLY lizardman I suppose
OOC: Welp, it doesn't get worse than a 0 I guess LOL!
Alustine gently laughs at the antics of the cat-lady and lizardman. "True to our nature, even in the most unusual of circumstances."he says to himself. "Perhaps the unsettling situation makes us more likely to revert to our true nature. Hmmm...a topic for further study, to be sure."
He continues walking with the others, moving easily through the woods along the small path. A popular walking song pops into his mind, and he hums it for the others to hear to keep their steps light.
Only-The-Cold- (One day I will stop only describing what things look like, lol) You make a few clicks with your tongue as you walk, listening to the echos. You can tell the trees are thinning out as you go. You smell on the air the very faint smells of civilization, food cooking, chimney smoke, and other less pleasant smells.
Rajiira - Its difficult to get a read on someone from a race you've never encountered before (ooc, Thrash said he was on his way to the same town all of you were, he is just as confused by the new surroundings as you.)
Thrash - You are attempting to come off as a bit sympathetic, but you are only coming off as cold and gruff
You are all heading down the path, the mist has gotten thicker again, but you believe you are still headed towards the small village. Alustain begins to hum a quaint tune as you travel. After a few minutes most of you see the buildings come into view again through the mist. Its tall houses dark as tombstones. You aren't arriving by a main road and are coming from behind the nearest buildings. Nestled among these solemn dwellings are a handful of closed-up shops and homes with darkened windows. Even the tavern is shut tight. You all hear soft whimpering coming from somewhere close by.
Walking through the mist Thrash will lift his head at the notice of the sound, eyes darting back and forth trying to determine the location of the whimpering, holding his torch out in front of him in the hope that it will help his sight to pierce the mist.
Perception check to look through the mist and locate whimpering 18
Thrash will point ahead "The crying is coming from behind those buildings ahead, lets check it out" He will then start running towards the sound around the buildings and into the road.
Rajiira lets Thrash go, for now but adds, almost with a purr "We shall continue this later, Thrrash" finally falling back once more, and again, taking herself back into a more stealthy gait (Stealth: 5) she would never fully trust the situation they were in, unless she were to awaken back where they had been before, and brush this all off as an odd dream. Once more getting her bow ready, knocking it with an arrow, just as a whimpering sound could be heard, even if the whimpering was not from a foe, whatever caused the beign to whimper could still be close by. Perking up her ears, though it would appear that Thrash had already deducted it's location, and followed his lead.
((OOC @ the DM yes, however that doesn't mean he's telling the truth! logically, he could be a plant from whoever whisked us from where we were, to keep an eye on us. He could be enthralled by someone. He could be the final boss, in a shapeshifted form, etc etc!)
**@Rjiira - I'm not telling you what to think, just what you know. lol
Thrash takes off in to the village to determine the source of the whimpering. Rajiira crouches low and knocks an arrow into her bow, taking her first step forward she steps on a dry twig which makes an incredibly loud 'SNAP!', she sighs at her attempted sneakiness and follows behind Thrash.
Coming around the corner you two see a young girl and an even younger boy, who is clutching a small stuffed toy. The boy is crying softly and the girl is attempting to calm him down. They are standing in front of a large four story home.
Thrash would have replied back to Rajiira, twisting his head back over his shoulder before running into the village "I look forward to it! I enjoyed our chat... maybe next time you will tell me more about yourself!" He will once again give her a slight grin as well as a playful wink.
OOC: Persuasion to convince her he enjoyed talking to her 13

Rajiira lets out a flat chuckle, mostly to her self. The twig, that a ranger should have noticed aside, "If only it were every time Rajiira thought she was in danger, curious strangers or crying children would be the worst that would come of it, hmm? she said to no one in particular. She moved to the children's side, looking around them to determine if anyone or anything else might be here (Perception: 16). As she does, she asks the children "What is the matter little cubs? were you attacked? did you lose your parents in the fog?" she asked, shushing and cooing in an attempt to calm them down.
(OOC-I may have to pass out soon. graveyard shift killed my energy.)
**thats the beauty of pbp, just hop back in when you can.
After shushing the boy, the girl turns to you and says, “Please, help us, there’s a monster in our house!” She then points to a tall brick house that has seen better days. Its windows are dark. It has a gated portico on the ground floor, and the gate is slightly ajar. The houses on either side are abandoned, their windows and doors boarded up. There is nobody else out in the streets.
Thrash, Aware of his own appearance will stop once he sees the children.. Looking down at his black razor sharp claws he will take a few steps back, almost in fear and attempt to duck around the corner of the building in the hopes of not being seen. He will try to whisper to Rijirra "If I approach those kids they will scream and run... Perhaps you or one of our other companions should speak with them...."

She'll glance back at the others. "Can someone check around the house for an easier entrance? If we break the door down it'll really hear us coming."
((I absolutely lost it when you said that you spoke to the tree instead of the lizardman. I laughed so hard.))
