As you walk down the path, you come around the corner, and you see two dead horses, with arrows in them, lying on the path.

Nora cringes at the sight, but scans the area for additional threats.

On seeing the dead horses Krakel is alarmed, and scans the forest for trouble.

He also dons his shield, draws his Morningstar and takes a defensive stance. Saying “something bad happened here.”

 They see their party member, Nora, looking into the woods. But you can't quite see what they are looking at

Krakel quietly says to Nora “ do you see any evidence of what sort of transgression has taken place here” 

"We've got four goblins in the woods."

Nora says quietly.

"They'll probably try and ambush us, maybe we try and get the element of surprise"

*so this is my first pbp game. How far should we proceed before the others get involved. I don’t want to post too much and progress things if I shouldn’t. Or is that the idea sometimes things just happen.*

*if we politely wait for each other too much this will take much longer.  Combat is a little different.*

Hoppo readies his crossbow and dons his shield, his platemale is packed up… if Hoppo sees enemies he shoots.  *readied action*

”Be ready everyone.” As he slowly advances toward the corpses.

“Aye thanks for the warning”

As Hoppo moves towards the corpses, Krakel moves behind the wagon towards the left side of the woods in an attempt to flank and surprise the enemy.

 He tries his best to move quietly and is as stealthy as possible in plate armor.

He prepares to Poison Spray any enemy that comes in site. :readied action:

Two of the goblins launch an attack, moving to the melee range of Hoppo and making two attacks

Attack: 20 Damage: 4

Attack: 18 Damage: 9

The two goblins in the back make two ranged attacks 

against Mika. Attack: 15 Damage: 7

against Nora. Attack: 12 Damage: 8

everybody roll inti at disadv except Krakel and Nora

Having readied his poison spray, Krakel unleashes a green mist towards the rear goblin closest to him. While continuing to move towards it to close the gap. 

Action: poison spray attack 14, damage 4

 You can make it 20 feet closer to them, closing the gap to 20 feet. The closest one is the one on the left side in to woods

You shoot your poisonous spray, but the goblin seems to see it coming, and it misses

That is a reaction, so you can still take your turn

With the others warning her, Mika was ready for the "surprise" attack. She caught one bolt on her shield while the other was deflected by her armor.

 Only one attack was against Mika

Seeing the mist float past the goblin Krakel tries a different approach.  He points at the goblin he is approaching and it hears a load bell ringing in its head shaking its sanity. 

Magic action: Toll the Dead:  goblin needs to make a wisdom saving throw dc 14

Damage on a fail: 6
