The little fungus scrunches its mouth, “Don’t trust it!” It tries its best to sound like Tori. The little guy wiggles and from under its base a blue gray earthy smelling excretion drops to the ground.
“Is this a baby Shrieker? If so, much better sounding than the grown ups. If not, what type of fungus are you?” Magoo thinks through his limited experience with mushrooms in the wild and comes up blank (Nature nat 1)
Tori shrugs "Well, regardless, we should probably leave it here and get these supplies back. I'm sure we'll keep rotating back out for more excursions."
Lyra puts the creature back down on the stump it was hiding in. "I think this one might be just mimicking what it hears without understanding. But in any case it seems to be harmless. I'll skip getting a wood sample from this stump, I don't want to disturb the symbol or this little things home."
The fun-guy as soon as it’s set back down on the ground excretes a little strip of earthy gray poo then rolls into its cap and rolls into the stump. From inside you hear, “Little things home!” It sounds like Lyra’s voice…
As the group moves on it’s a chill beautiful ‘day’ the stars are out and two planets can be seen in the sky. A strange phenomenon can be observed as what looks like a huge ribbon of blue shades like a huge blue rainbow appears across the sky then just a few hours later is gone. The muddy hills are hard to traverse but eventually you make it back to the fork in the river. There are many shrubs moving about but they seem to not notice or react as you follow the river. Once again you notice the long luminous eel like creatures threading around in the shallows, and a few flower fish trying to keep away from the long creatures.
your daylight when a shrub passes near shows a pattern of lighter blues and blue greens on these seemingly harmless plants.
During the walk, Magoo says to Tori, "In addition to our song and dance routine, could you write down notes about where we found the good wood and that there is a friendly talkative 'shroom there? We wouldn't want to forget the location or have someone harm the little guy. I am going to start focusing on the different plants in the hopes of helping us avoid the dangerous ones. This might take some time to figure out." And with that, Magoo turns his attention to the different plants (Perception 23).
Do these shrubs, or the “eels” and flower fish seem to be reacting any differently to the daylight aura, then they did when we first encountered them?

”The patterns on these plants are beautiful.” Krakel says to the team. “unfortunately finding all these seemingly sentient creatures makes it hard to know what I should be looking for to try to forage anything.”
Both perceptions very high you notice that none of the plants enter the daylight or stay in it when you get near, the pollen in the air even diverts away. You’re all breathing much easier.
At first the masks helped, then the rain now the daylight no breathing issues.
You seem to agree the needle and vine blights had blue and purple, these shrubs have blue and green the patterns show predator and prey characteristics…
As for foraging you find an apple tree small blue apples and some sweet smelling blue-grass. Let me know what you do with them if anything.
Magoo decides that now is as good a time as any to see if he can talk to the wandering plants. He casts Speak with Animals on himself and moves closer - but not too close - to one of the wandering plants. “Excuse me, do animals eat this grass and these fruit? And what animals attack you?”

Magoo roll an arcana check please and roll an Intelligence save.
“Well I want to try one of these apples. It would be nice to have some fresh food instead of just rations. Let’s refill our water skins and I will Purify the food and water while we are here.” Krakel lays out his shield as makeshift alter for the apples and water skins and performs a quick ritual casting while the others are checking out the plants.
“Now we will have some fresh snacks for the rest of the hike back.” Krakel says before he bites into one of the blue apples.
As the ball is pulled out into the daylight it straitens out and says in a copy of Lyra’s voice, “Feels alive!”
Lyra chuckles and says, "You're cute."
“Well hello little one” Krakel says with a chuckle as Lyra pulls the “mushroom being” out and it begins to speak.
"I don't trust it." Tori says from a few yards away, keeping an eye out for the things parents of they're close by

Is Lyra still holding this creature?

“If these beings are related to the myconid back home they may be peaceful as long as we don’t threaten them.”….

“Lyra have you encountered apples like these on your previous expeditions, are they safe to eat? I’ve never seen a blue apple before.”

“It sure is nice to breathe easier lately. I hope we can bring some of this clear air back to the ship with us.”

They look just like apples and the sweet blue grass has a succulent look to it both seem like edibles…

"Much appreciated, those flower-fish are pretty tasty as well" *Tori says, morning to the river*
