”I was thinking the same thing Magoo” Krakel replies as his fingers lick with flame. Raising his hand towards the treant, three rays of flame blast forth at the beast.

Scorching ray: fire damage

ray 1 to hit: 19   Damage:3

ray 2 to hit: 18   Damage:10

ray 3 to hit: 14   Damage:6

Lyra will take careful aim and shoot another arrow at the treant. Unfortunatly, she did not have any fire spells. 

Attack 28 for 9 piercing damage + 6 force damage = 15 damage total

Magoo’s short sword fails to peirce as deeply as expected, while his dagger misses.  2 of Krakel’s scorching rays land upon the sap encrusted treant which ignites as a flaming beacon able to be seen for miles…

One of Lyra’s arrows flys true still not piercing as deeply as expected.

The Weeping Treant’s turn

The Treant clearly sees Krakel as a flaming threat and tries to splatter him with a couple hefty geodes!

Multi-attack 1- 18 to hit for 25 bludgeoning 2- 19 to hit for 20 damage.

If they were at disadvantage (not sure since Magoo and Tori are both in melee with it) the 1st attack misses and the second still hits for 20.

 End of the Weeping Treants turn.

Seeing the geodes flying toward him Krakel raises his shield. Just before it impacts the metal though, it crumbles against an imperceptible barrier. As the dust settles the treant sees Krakel standing unmoved.

reaction: shield spell (once free from magic initiate)

“That is one tough tree!” exclaims Magoo before he resumes his attack with short sword (attack 9 then uses Heroic Inspiration for nat 20, crit damage 10) and dagger (attack 17, damage 8)

Magoo manages to stab with his sword but his dagger strike misses.  The Treant is blackened but still hostile.

"Can you do that fire thing again?" Tori asks, getting back into melee with the Tree, giving Krakel Bardic Inspiration. 

She makes her inspired strike against the tree, but can't quite generate enough force to matter (Rolled a 2 to hit) 

Then she'll cast Thunderclap: Con save 13 or the tree takes 1 thunder damage

Tori will then try to back away again hoping her mirror image and boots can keep her safe

(Should have just made a second post, instead of adding the retreat, my bad.)

Thunder booms and the Treant stands unfazed.

AoO 23 to hit 14 bludgeoning 7 acid and 2 more acid unless an action is used to remove the sap, before the end of your next turn.

Confirming: Disadvantage from boots?

Krakel’s first two rays are narrow misses but the third ray connects engulfing the fresh ‘weeping’ sap the huge plant stumbles back a step, (elvish) “One more like that and I DIE!!! Stop I surrender!”

if you let the Weeping Treant tell his tale he talks about a planet flat as a coin sunny all the time, about a beautiful woman (nature check 17 a dryad) who bonded with him.  They met a couple a ranger and Druid who created a ship (history 17 Living ship) they sailed until they explored here and crashed…

the boulders are geodes inside the smashed boulder which hit Krakel’s shield are quartz like in his vision, and there are many large geodes here!
