 OOC I noticed the bonds in the picture, the Thri-Kreen is not bound it is covered in fungal growths however.

Seems like it doesn’t or at least it doesn’t respond.

Lyra tries in sylven, "Can you understand me?"

Krakel cast light on a stone near the Trikeen on the ground to see if it reacts to the yellow light.

Just a flicker in its eyes, a twitch of its neck.  Then it stands up fully and begins walking into the tunnel.

“Something definitely seems off about it.” Krakel replies and fits his mask tighter around his face.

Lyra nods in agreement, "Everyone should get their masks on so we don't end up under their control."

{I the player vaguely remember something like the myconids need the spoors to communicate with others. Does Lyra know anything about that?}

“Should we follow it in, or continue down the path and try to find the mushroom folk?” Krakel asks the group.

Magoo’s curiosity kicks in. “Let’s follow it. There may be some fun treasure in the tunnel. I can see well enough in the dark (if it is dark) so just keep track of me.” He will look for loot while trailing about 50’ behind the creature. (He has Darkvision 60’)

”Very good, we’ve got your back Magoo.” Krakel will follow 10ft behind Magoo. Watching and listening for any more trouble.

Lyra will take up the rear, bow in hand in case they find trouble.

The tunnel descends and intersects with similar tunnels the air is humid and earthy the thri-kreen continues at a steady pace eventually stopping, as you wait to see what happens next a voice in your heads, “Why are you here?  You destroyed a valuable guardian.  Do you seek our gifts?”  Images of humanoids with fungal armor, others with spoor breath, and more…  “Do you search for immortality?”

Magoo is indistinguishable from the rocky surroundings…

"Ewww. Ewww. No. We're just trying to get off planet." *Tori says scraping at her hair like she can scratch the voice out*

“We meant your guardian no harm, but it attacked us we had to defend our selves.  We mean you no harm either, and only come seeking peaceful communication and trade with those willing.” 

“Perhaps replacing the protection is one of the things we can provide. What threatens you?” Magoo wants to diffuse the situation - since anything that can mess with his mind is bad - and start the negotiations. Also, it would be great to know what other threatening critters are near. (Insight in the response 22)
