Having not found any weapons useful to the gnome, Folzi leaves the items of the fallen cleric on its body. Turning back to follow Cara, he catches the sergeant's suspicious glare. He returns the loo with a sideways, half-smile and shrugs his shoulders. "Hey, can't blame a gnome for trying? Just didn't want to be unprepared if things got...physical up there with those two."
"Nothing has changed Folzi. We might be under siege by outsiders but it's up to the Commander to arm you, any of you, or not," Cara adds with a firm disappointed tone.
She tells the young half-orc who looks utterly disgusted to focus on the task of helping the living and they move towards the steps.

"Excuse me.. just to try to make sense of all of this. You say that some outside force has stormed the camp, killing both Shepperds and Casters? That's terrible. After her answers, or others answers for she is not trying to make it a private conversation she adds.
"Must be hard on you " she says to both of them " that your worst nightmare had come truth. Casters using their powers to destroy, to kill... yet... I hope you all can see the irony. "Invaders, yes," Cara says curtly. "People looked as if they made a choice or were compelled," she added next. "But do you honestly think we have a choice in being here either? I'm not the Emperor?! Ecton sure as the 9 Hells isn't! We answered a calling to our Goddess and became jailors! Not the warriors, priests, sages, or healers spreading her works as we trained to be! You think I grew up in Loughcrew hoping that one day I'd be using my divine magic to cow people into submission? We have no say in these matters either. This was a duty I was given by my temple elders and I could not refuse it. I am sorry you've been mistreated but not by me or my companions here," Cara exclaims pointing at Ecton, the unconscious cleric, and the monk Lebenha holds that Cara looks at with regret. "Other Shepherds and/or Sisters might have mistreated you but we have not! I freed you as you recall! You think I enjoy watching people suffer day after day because their ancestors disagreed and then died before I was born! I am a priestess of Sune, a healer of her light and beauty. If I survive until tomorrow and the day after that then I have two more years in this place and then I just might get the position I trained and hoped for," she explained next trying to remain composed but her battle weariness is starting to make her break down and sound angry. "As for the manacles NO I cannot remove those," she then says curtly recomposing herself quickly. "That magic is restricted to the Commander or Sister Bhalla," she explains. "Only some us have the power to conjure your chains as well! Not even Ecton here has gone through that part of his training and he's just a boy after all. A boy following his Goddess and caring for all of you. Call us names if you like, berate us if you must but I did not put you in here and the elves have not been in the Empire a thousand years so I don't even know how the 9 hells you came to be here! After Cara's rebuttal, a familiar voice rings out from the cells by the door in the eerie silence.
"I killed the man who shared my tent and she or the boy brought me food and water every day since. If it was mercy or not I don't know. I might not get a trial or I might die tomorrow but they at least tried to help me in their way," the voice says who had been jibing the group since they were brought here by Hawthrone and Harper.
"Enders you'll get your trial as soon as we get a straight answer from your bunkmates about who started it," Cara retorts. "I'll be done later with your supper," she adds continuing to move forward with Ecton helping her with the unconscious cleric between them.
Reaching the top steps Cara leans forward and opens a door only to find the chaos of her standing comrades darting about the armory that's on the way to the dungeons as if they are readying for war.
"Here, a healer here," Cara exclaims as she and Ecton move forward pulling the cleric with them as a young woman, younger than Cara, appears with long blonde hair in elaborate braids comes forward. She wears blood-stained white and gold robes with Sune's emblem on the front. She looks weary but she smiles and immediately goes to work. "It's fine they are with me," Cara then says as three paladins approach on their guard looking at Folzi, Lebhenha, and Lyra as they come up into the armory.
There are three female battle worn paladins of Sune. Two of the three female paladins, humans, come forward and take the monk from Lyra and Lebenha.
"She should be chained," a female half-orc paladin steps forward coming up immediately pointing to Lyra. Lyra you've seen her before, she was the paladin who put the manacles on you in processing then escorted you around the first day. "The elf and the gnome are fine," she explains next then sees Ecton and her hard expression melts away. The half-orc paladin pulls Ecton into her arms and hugs him against her golden armor. "I knew it," the half-orc woman exclaims pulling him away and looking him over like a fussy mother. "I knew joining Cara would protect you," she adds before looking curiously now at Folzi and Lebenha but still suspiciously at Lyra. "They...they...all gave you aid," she asks Ecton next looking at all of the party curiously.
"Lara I'm fine," Ecton mutters red faces as he stands back straight. "No, they were in the cells below.." he trails off as Cara gives him a hard look.
"They claim it's Hawthrone's doing but this is Folzi the gnome chancellor," Cara explains as the half-orc's eyebrow arched curiously. "He could help us now," she adds looking at Folzi but not at Leb or Lyra as she speaks. "I can't speak for the other two but they...so far have given us no trouble," she adds honestly.
Ecton says nothing to contradict his squad leader.
"We're still trying to figure out what happened after the wizard burned the tent in the wizard's encampment and the lockdown was sounded. What I witnessed was human sorcerers who professed superiority with dragon bloodlines have gone completely mad! Some who were subdued and chained have been broken out of a compulsion manifested by the invaders or so they claim," the half-orc paladin explains moving to Lyra and giving her a hard look. She then waves her hands over Lyra's manacles and the chain reappears connecting them. "Until you prove otherwise you will be chained," she explains with a frown releasing Lyra she then returns her gaze to Cara. "You...and that gnome," she then says shaking her head looking to Folzi. The half-orc then crouches down to face him. "You lost many friends today too I think," she adds next her tone and expression solemn as she speaks to Folzi. "Besides the other Shepherds and Sisters I saw not a single gnome run from a fight against those Chromatic bastards," she exclaims then holds out her hand to Folzi to shake. Whether or not the gnome shakes her hand she goes on to explain. "We have no prisoners here. Chauntea took those who were compelled that they could wrangle but the camp is no longer safe, it's overrun! A young white dragon roams above and Mielikki's garrison has fallen. Their wards against evil and chaos were comprised somehow," she explained next looking genuinely worried. "Many in the camp are wounded but the Commander, last I saw him, sounded the retreat so we came back here. I know nothing more," she adds next.
