OOC: Well that's not what you said. You can not make everyone leave the room before then make a statement which is not a power you have. You should have said, "Thomas waits for everyone to leave the room then blocks Lebenha from passing to say in private <insert dialog>". It's canon, you got scolded by the sassy halfling and the gnome then everyone SAW you stop Leb and block her from leaving with the book. Curiously, however, no one blocked Lyra who asked for a crystal then pocketed it.
OOC did anyone see a post from me that did in fact say Lyra was welcome to take the crystal - I wrote it but it isn't there now! Weird.
Smiling at the halfling and her banter with the others Hrain acknowledges her point about Sunites not staying for long in the White Wastes but still tries to think of who she could mean, wondering to himself if it could be important.
"Those potions of regeneration, are they ready for use? We have wounded down in the infirmary who could use them."
"Lyra, the crystal you have - I assume you intend to use it as a focus, I do not object but remember that all of you from this point forward are either with us or very firmly against us. We are on a war footing with an unknown enemy and resources must be used wisely. I am taking you all to Bhalla for a particular reason, those manacles must come off, if you are to fight at our side you must be allies not conscripts."

"Yes..." Carrigan pauses in the hallway as the Captain comes out and speaks to her. "Any of the bottles where the purple is settled at the bottom and amber is on top are ready," she adds then looking to Halberd she gets a serious expression. "Are you injured, dear boy? Can I help," she then asks walking closer to the human, maybe too close even, and inspecting him now circling him making a tut-tut sound.
Thomas ignores the halfling and keeps his eyes on Lebenha, hand still raised.

Reflexively, Haldur visibly recoils as the diminutive alchemist peers in closely at him. He frowned deeply, chagrined, and he shook his head firmly at Lledrith's question.
"No m'am!" The response came out as a single, unintentionally harsh statement. Not wanting to offend, the mercenary cleared his throat slightly and continued ahead in a more mild tone of voice, "No, thank you m'am. I am well enough, considering. Your offer is appreciated however." A small idea suddenly popped into Haldur's mind, and with a quick glance at the cleric of Mystra, the sellsword asked the halfling a question of his own. "If you are keen to help us though, might you possibly have something that can aid in alleviating severe fatigue? One of our number is in dire need of rest, but we can not afford the luxury of time at the moment. Would this be something you have here, or something perhaps that you can make with ingredients at hand?"
The cleric responds to the gnomes comment as though it were voiced by the elf, keeping his voice soft, and never once looking away from her face.
"My only fear is that actions such as these may discredit your position in the eyes of those with the authority to release your bonds. While a focus may be overlooked as necessary to the defense of the Garrison, a book, unless it can rightly claim relevance to our current circumstance, would likely only serve to make one appear selfish and uncaring of our dilemma. Does this book have some relevance to our circumstance? If not, please, give it me."

"Nothing for that but rest I'm afraid," Carrigan replies to Halberd. "Such a simple solution for a thing like that has never merited a potion from me or my mistress Astrid or any alchemist I imagine," she explains before looking to Folzi lingering in the doorway of her lab where the elf and human stand-off. "I suspect the wee folk has troubled these men so horribly Folzi that we must worry them far beyond those who can look them in the eyes," she adds smirking with a giggle looking back up at Halbred taking a step back from his hulking frame.
Carrigan's expression is telling that she's teasing now, well humored as she is, the appearance that she makes this large bruiser of a man uncomfortable she finds thoroughly assuming.
Haldur mutters something indecipherable but distinctly sour about alchemists beneath his breath, shakes his head and resumes his position of attentiveness near enough to Thomas to be at the cleric's service.
"You might not have realized it, but I have been much more honest to you shepherds than I normally would be to anyone I have met in this camp so far. I will thankfully take your allowance, and once again repeat that what I was thinking about was only to try and get us out of this rather unhealthy position as defendants against multiple unknown threats. I believe that us casters have not given you any reason for distrust so far, so let us throw aside the suspicions and work together to survive this." With that she follows the group out of the room, taking a somewhat sad last look at the bubbling potions.
Lebenha was about to reply to Thomas, then the gnome makes fun of her and she opens her mouth again to reply to him but closes it and looks back to Thomas.
”I was not... stealing it!” She explodes “ What’s the matter with you all people? Are you so brainwashed that you aren’t able to see things clearly? I took this book from the other room in front of you. I carry it in plain shight in my bloody hand!! “ she raises it so everyone can see it clearly. “ We are trapped here with the wards on I have no place to go nor to hide. What do you think I would gain for stealing it? Sell it and buy a bloody island to retire?! I just wanted to read it while you rest and recover. “ she throws the book at him “ Keep your damn book and leave me alone!” She storms out the laboratory and heads to the stairs to go down to the room they were detained. When she hears Hrain she stops and look at him angry. She shrugs her shoulders and roll her eyes but stays closer to them. She speaks to herselg and any of you that understand elvish wouldn’t know that this language could be so full of... descriptive words.

"Okay... So we found our mystery sorcerer,"Folzi says to Hrain with some annoyance in his voice. "Are we going to see about getting these things removed now?" he asks as he follows behind the Sunite captain.
"Good," Carrigan exclaims, "shall we go then," she adds moving down the stairs.
OOC: I am going to say that everyone but Leb and Thomas were in the hallway for thier confirntation but Fozli was still at the doorway of the alchemy lab? Lyra where were you? Also Halbred, Hrain, and Carrigan were for sure in the hallway.
Carrigan walks with Hrain with the party behind them move back to the infirmary below where they find Bhalla waiting to help the Casters. The dwarf is in a bed in the infirmary as Fred attends her at her bedside. Bhalla seems relieved to see them and sends Fred away to attend others. Bhalla then beckons Carrigan and the others closer.
"To be our allies requires trust," Bhalla says her tone and her expression serious. "Do you except this trust," she asks next looking at each of the Casters then pauses looking for an answer from each if them.
"I have dedicated my talents to this garrison," Carrigan says stepping forward first holding up her wrists. "I wish to use all my talents," she says next as Bhalla nods moving close and staring at the halfling as if searching her eyes for something.
Bhalla the sighs heavily before nodding then moves her hands over Carrigan's wrists and the manacles disappear!
"If there ever is a reason to return those before this siege is over I don't believe they will ever be removed again," Bhalla warns as Carrigan nods rubbing her bare wrists as Bhalla moves to the next Caster.

Lyra exhales deeply and then takes a step forward. "With all due respect, considering the random misstreatment us three," and she nods back to Lebenha and Folzi, "have had to experience by some of your shepherds today, not to mention the general situation us casters have been living through, i would believe that it is time to finally split the differences and trust in each other, not having us trust you. Other than that, all i can say is that i have been trying to help the Sunites to the best of my abilites so far, the captain can testify that. And if you are willing to rid me of these mannacles, i might also have a way to help overcome this siege, but i wont be able to do so unless you allow me to exhaust my full potential." She locks eyes with Bhalla, a stern but determined look on her face.
Lebenha, still upset by Thomas accusing her of thieving, takes a step forward. “Never give any of you a reason to doubt of me or my behaviour. Since all of this started and we knew about it I only tried to help. I always wanted for a chance to probe you that is not all the Casters are dangerous, there are just people. Bad people “ she says pointing towards the outside “ and good people “ she looks to the other Casters. “ I only ask for a chance to probe to you that I am trying to be a good one, and I assure you that I will do whatever is in my reach to protect you all and the wounded and get us all of here alive. There is... another question though, if you allow me. Removing the manacles will allow us to use our powers, but as well as you need your holy símbol to canalize your magic, some of our powers need something familiar too. Mundane objects most of the time. Do we have permission to look for them? And to keep and use them until this crisis is finished? “

Thomas does not move as the book is thrown, but staggers slightly as it hits him clean on the jaw.
If Haldur moves to retaliate on his behalf, Thomas stops him, saying,
"No, it's alright. Let her be."
He then bends down to pick up the book, before turning to Hrain.
"If it's alright, Captain, I'll just bring this back where it belongs and catch up with the rest of you momentarily."
Unless told otherwise by Hrain, Thomas then makes his way back to the reading room.
