OKAY WAIT I WANNA PLAY! Name: Luna Gender: Female Age: 117 Species: Dark Elf Class: Lunar Sorcery Sorcerer Background: Mage of High Sorcery Backstory: As a young Karganesti elf, Luna was always enamored by towers of high sorcery and the magical secrets it held. While the other elven children practiced swordplay and archery, Luna spent her time indoors, preferring to study magical lore over studying the blade. Occasionally she’d make excursions out into the forests of her home to put her studies into practice, often getting too focused on practicing magic that she’d accidentally disappear for days at a time. Luna was enamoured with the concept of magic. For many, many years, despite the village she lived in’s rules against magical practice, she and her dad studied magic together when she was young. Her father was amazed by what she could do, and often called her "blessed by the moon". But one day her father disappeared while researching a magic spell without a trace and despite her searching, she couldn’t find him. The village she lived in assumed that her arcane obsession was what caused her father to disappear, and they called her cursed. For the rest of her life up until a certain period of time she was harassed, attacked, feared, and treated like a monster that would make people disappear if they got too close to her, even though she was just a young girl who just wanted to see her father again.
As her life went on, she began believing that she was cursed, and that anyone who got close to her would just disappear. As a result, her self esteem took a dive until she wouldn’t even leave her home to get food or anything of the sort, as a voice in her head repeatedly told her again and again that she was worthless, that her magic could only bring harm to others. She began to become more and more malnourished, sitting in the corner in her home, too scared to even attempt to save herself, escape, or even take care of herself and her basic needs. She found herself grappling with negative thoughts telling herself she wasn’t good enough, that she should just save everyone else the trouble and move on. Nobody would care. She suffered these thoughts alone for several weeks, then another thought reached into her mind - “You’re special”. Hour after hour, Luna had positive thoughts flooding through her head over and over and over, telling her that she wasn't a failure, that her magic could help those who couldn't help themselves. This sudden wave of positivity overwhelmed her and she broke down. She found herself walking around town again, buying food, and was actually willing to live life. While she still confided herself in her room, she was sort of… happy. This change unnerved the elders of her village, to the point where they didn’t know what to do with her other than place him under house arrest. House arrest suited Luna just fine however, as it allowed her to study without interruptions, and so she did. Eventually, she grew of age and decided she wanted to see the world and learn more about magic, so she escaped. Using the meager magic she had, she was able to cleverly escape the village. Though her treatment in the village left scars on her both physically and mentally, now she was free. To travel beyond, into the unreachable void... He/Him My characters (Currently WIPs): Kamari De La Sol (Non-Binary Aasimar Way of Mercy Monk), Avery Veritas (Non-Binary Human College of Glamour Bard), Elthea Abott (Female Centaur Circle of the Land Druid), Vlask K'bavenn (Male Bugbear Path of the World Tree Barbarian), Theron Rigel (Female Wood Elven Arcane Archer Fighter), Casimir "Camus" Morgans (Infernal Tiefling Swashbuckler Rogue)
Soooo tempting. I like this setting, and I've never actually gotten to play in it. I read through most of the old AD&D adventures (DL1 - DL14) back in the day, but I've never looked at Shadow of the Dragon Queen.
Backstory: Basic backstory for now: I imagine Malgrim being raised by the traveling, nomadic Windbreaker Clan. One faithful day, Malgrim witnessed an aspect of Habbakuk (known as Watin to his people) fishing in a lake at night. Exchanging sight with the flaming deity, Malgrim felt blessed and infused with divine energies. Now by himself and roaming the lands working as a guide and enforced for traders, Malgrim does what he needs to do for the glory of Watin.
Hiya kqstark, Vexi is Vardok’s friend, who has a bad habit of getting him into trouble, daring him to do all sorts of things. They like to explore together, and there is a lot of one upmanship. Vardok is a ranger, and Vexi is his naughty, naughty friend. 🤣
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
When the constellation of the Valiant Warrior and the Queen of Darkness disappeared from the sky, Reorx the God of smiths realised that he had to take a side, and granted Theros Silverhand the ability to forge the Dragon lances. Amongst the dwarves of Thorbadin and the Hill dwarves he called valiant warriors and Clerics to his cause. Loremasters heard the call and searched for the blessed ones to fight their cause.
Sure, I will change my application a bit and take on the role of the Silvanesti Eldritch Knight :-)

I will be leaving this thread open until Monday. I'm looking for a balanced party of 6, and 2 stand ins in case of drop outs.
Seems like my character sheet wasn't set to public. (Thank you to Oberon for letting me know!)
Hopefully it's fixed now!
Also added my character sheet and rolled stats for my character. =)
