"Attention passengers! The train is about to make the jump!"
Welcome to the world of Honkai: Star Rail! My name is Aurora (or Dawn, depending on how you read my username), and I'm looking to DM a campaign based on the endless world of Honkai: Star Rail.
I'm looking for 4 players willing to board the Astral Express and travel the cosmos. This campaign will take place in an alternate timeline, where you four will replace the player character as you travel to all sorts of planets and blaze a trail into the unknown. You'll need basic knowledge of the lore, but that's about it. I also recommend looking into this PDF: https://cobalt-heart.itch.io/honkai5e
All 5e currency (GP, SP, ect) are replaced with credits
There is currently no due date. Once I get enough applicants (whenever THAT'll happen) I will set a due date for consideration.
Selection Criteria:
I am looking for the following (in no particular order):
Interesting characters that will work well together.
Characters that have been created as believable individuals rather than a collection of numbers and rules with an appended personality. I want to see the numbers and traits and feats you choose come to life in your background.
Players with a decent command of grammar and spelling. We all make mistakes and typos, but I won’t be able to GM effectively if I have to work to decipher every post.
What I'm also looking for:
Newbies and experienced players are both welcome.
Players who love a good spooky story.
Players who love telling a good story together.
Players who enjoy roleplaying and don't feel the need to min-max. Roleplaying over roll-playing, but there will still be plenty of interesting opportunities to roll some dice!
Your character sheet should contain the following details:
To travel beyond, into the unreachable void... He/Him My characters (Currently WIPs): Kamari De La Sol (Non-Binary Aasimar Way of Mercy Monk), Avery Veritas (Non-Binary Human College of Glamour Bard), Elthea Abott (Female Centaur Circle of the Land Druid), Vlask K'bavenn (Male Bugbear Path of the World Tree Barbarian), Theron Rigel (Female Wood Elven Arcane Archer Fighter), Casimir "Camus" Morgans (Infernal Tiefling Swashbuckler Rogue)
Name: Professor Trope Race (or Lineage): Appears Human (Changeling) Class: Wizard Alignment: LN Background: Sage Personality Attributes: - thoughtful, knowledgeable, and slightly eccentric academic - a font of magical knowledge but often distracted by their own thoughts - His Pipe is his arcane focus - He is story is that he is traveling on sabbatical from teaching at Strixhaven (or any other Univ in this world) -- Truth is he is an Occult Detective traveling on a case Path: either Remembrance or Destruction
All content is okay with me, and while I'd prefer Standard Array, any stat method is fine so long as you specify which method you're using, and y'know, don't have 20s and 18s in every stat, lol

I played Star Rail on my phone for a while, losing interest because the screen was to small to see clearly with my aging eyes. But I liked the story and would like to join.
A set of stats: Ability scores: 11131491212
I'll try coming up with a character that would fit in that setting... Have some ides...
Name: Harknail Race (or Lineage): Warforged Class: Paladin (oath of Devotion) Alignment: LN Background: Guard Personality Traits: I’m oblivious to etiquette and social expectations. I am utterly serene, even in the face of disaster. Ideal/Bond/Flaw: Ideal: Emotions must not cloud our sense of what is right and true, or our logical thinking. Bond: Must support the team at all costs. Flaw: Having been isolated for so very very long, I need to have people around as much as possible. Path: Preservation Character sheet: https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/151576902/iW36IO
Please provide a paragraph or two on the below:
Appearance: A big armored construct, with a shield on the right and a sword on the left. (he's left handed). Personality: Unemotional, but gregarious. After spending a long time alone, he needs to be around others. Being so old, his manner of speech is archaic. Backstory: Harknail was built a very very long time ago for a war that finished before he was completed. With the war over he was assigned as a town guard. During their duties, the squad he was assigned to was trapped, with no way out. With no supplies, the humans of the squad were doomed. They spent their last days telling him all of their stories, giving him messages to pass on to loved ones if he was rescued soon (he wasn't), and told to pray to Qlipoth for Preservation. Harknail's prayers were answered, though he has no idea why. But the power of Qlipoth preserved his body, and more importantly his mind until he was finally rescued by the Astral Express Crew. He now serves them as his new teammates.
Doing a variation of March 7th's background for this character.
