Raised in Cryllor in northern Keoland, within a rugged mining community, Grimwade grew up in a culture where survival meant fighting giants and bugbears. He became a soldier, serving on joint patrols of the Joten Mountains alongside the Pikemen of the Yeomanry, learning their disciplined tactics. One officer in particular became a mentor, gifting Grimwade a 'lucky charm'—a tooth from an unknown beast. Grimwade accepted it, though he puts little stock in luck.
Troubles from the mountain denizens had been minimal, leaving little action. So when the crown called for support in establishing order in Saltmarsh and aiding nearby dwarven miners, Grimwade volunteered. He is determined to bring discipline to that fish-stinking mudhole and teach the soft-handed net-menders how to assert their will over parasitic pirates and smugglers. It is only upon arrival that Grimwade confronts a critical weakness: he cannot swim and fears drowning. But that needn’t matter—it’s not as if he will ever set foot on one of those horrid floating wooden coffins…
Although instructed to cooperate with Eliander Fireborn and Mannistrad Copperlocks, his primary commission is to assist Anders Solmor. The crown, impressed by Solmor's recent successes against smugglers, hopes to support his rise in power within the council.
Faction: Loyalist. Possible duty aboard a ship: First Mate, Surgeon, or crew member Long term story goal: Oversee the establishment and construction of a permanent dwarven fortress at Saltmarsh, to protect dwarven mining and trade interests. Desired items or special rewards: Magic polearm !!

Description and/or art.
Backstory include a trinket from the PHB. Mika never knew her father. She was raised by her mother Stasi, a human cleric of Erathis. Stasi never talked about Mika's father, but when Mika was older she found others in the temple that could tell her the story of her father, Akmenos. She was given a memento of her father, the hilt of a broken sword he had once used. Mika was raised in the temple, but was too hot blooded to be a calm soothing cleric. So instead she harnesses her inner rage as a Paladin. Mika thinks of herself as a half Tiefling, but this is not correct, even though her mother is a human, Mika is a full Tiefling.
Traditionalist Loyalist or Other., Was playing grayhawk as default setting of 4e, but I don't remember loyalist
Possible duty aboard a ship. Strictly a landlubber or a passenger.
Long term story goal. General goal - support civilization against the forces that would end it. Personal goal - find out what happened to her father and why he never returned.
Desired items or special rewards. Nothing in particular, would be interested in anything that assisted in her goals.
Edit: Added link to character and replaced art with AI generated image. It's amazing how AI can produce a better image in a few minutes of refining queries then can be done with many hours using 3d software.
Sorry to all who didn't make it... If I was picking my top 5 I know it would have been hugely tough to do so and I probably wouldn't have made the cut. But I'm not giving up my spot! :D
Happy to be considered for the first round, or for future replacements. Since no-one has proposed a fighter so far:

If your boyfriend asks you to join his game, he really likes you ... and also, he needs a healer.
