(@NBDM there is no pirate near you. You could assist Grugg and the 2 other sailors, Zandak and the one sailor, or Kosadius, the captain, the 1st mate, and the sailor(though they pretty much have it covered), or you could make a ranged attack against one of the pirates currently climbing accross, the poker-players, or the captain, or you could chop up one of the ropes. Or something else I didn't think of.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kosadius watches things happening all around him but his main focus is at the enemy in front of him. Once again he speaks, this time with a very triumphant voice. " We are winning, let us finish them off for good!" With that he attacke the last remaining pirate standing by him and the first mate. Once again he swings towards the enemy, trying to do some more damage.
(Since I'm heading to bed, just in case DM ends up posting during the night, here's a prepost: Alvyn will cast toll the dead (DC 14 Wisdom Save, 11 damage) on an injured pirate. In particular if there's one threatening him, or another PC who is especially at risk of going down, he'll go for that one. Then he'll go back in the (real) door. If he is hit in the mean time, he'll cast shield as a reaction.)
Zandak stabs a pirate with a javelin, grazing his leg. She grunts and clutches it, but still stands. Grugg misses once more. Grugg forgot his contact lenses belowdecks. Grugg will not make same mistake again. Eili slashes Zandak's pirate, and he nearly falls over.
The pirates continue climbing over the ropes, and only two of the pirates already on the ship hit some sailors.
Grig chops at the advancing pirates, he hits with all three attacks, killing one and nearly finishing off the other.
The Pirate Captain fires once more at Grig, hitting him in the leg.
Kosadius neatly finishes off the last remaining pirate near him.
Ortimay heads down to help Zandak with his ever growing pirate problem. She hits twice with her scimitar, but misses with her dagger. She takes out two of them.
Esker snaps his fingers, and the sound of a bell once more fills the air, and a pirate(The injured one near Grugg) once more freezes and topples over.
The sailors continue fighting back against the oncoming pirates, and only one misses. One of the pirates goes down.
The poker-players shoot once more, and miss in their hurry.
(Kosadius after he dispatches the one pirate, he will grab a javelin and see if he can hit one of the poker players, not sure if it's with disadvantage or not but I will roll twice to hit , the first will be the normal roll, the second will be the disadvantage roll)
After dispatching the one pirate in front of him, Kosadius takes a quick look around and then moves to the edge of the ship. At the same time taking out a javelin and throws one towards one of the poker player pirates in hopes to distract them in his direction. " Cowards! Come and face us or run away!" as he raises his voice loudly enough to be heard.
Esker snaps his fingers, and the sound of a bell once more fills the air, and a pirate(The injured one near Grugg) once more freezes and topples over.
Taken aback at finding myself inside the fiction, staring at a flesh and blood gnome wizard, doors on both sides of me, I stutter, "Is this... am I in the D&D game? Did I just... cast a spell?" The wizard raises an eyebrow, and, raising a thin piece of wood, mutters an arcane phrase in some unknown language (I don't even speak common, let alone whatever language this guy is using to cast his spells), and I once again find myself safely at my laptop, reading this very post.
Alvyn casts wall of fourth as a bonus action, then turns his attention back to the battle at hand.
(Yes, this entire post was an excuse for that terrible pun. Sosueme.)
Wandering out from the real door once more and looking at the battle through his illusion, Alvyn mutters in an annoyed tone, "Still haven't finished them off have they? Alas." He once again mutters an incantation and makes a series of sharp hand movements. In the distance, a clocktower strikes 12, which somehow is recognizable as that hour, despite everyone only hearing the last chime.
Again casting toll the dead, DC 14 Wisdom Save or take however many damage I rolled above. Targeting the poker player if Zandak hit them. Otherwise a different injured pirate... Or if somehow none are injured, he'll just target the poker player anyway, but they'll take 4 damage instead.
Eili slashes twice at her pirate, hitting once and going deep into his leg.
Grugg finally lands a hit, cleaving the pirate before him in half, the two bloody halves flopping to the deck, covering everybody's shoes with gore.
Zandak decides that it would be a good deal to throw his javelin at the mast instead of stabbing the pirate.
The pirates attack, and Eili's pirate stabs deep into her stomach, and she spits up blood, falling to her knees. The pirate grins, and kicks Eili off his blood-slick blade. Eili falls to the ground, her eyes open and staring sightlessly.
Grig rushes at the pirate near Eili's unmoving body, making him into mincemeat.
The pirate captain's eyes grow wide, and he orders the poker players to begin cutting the ropes. He fires at Zandak, but misses.
Kosadius throws a javelin, hitting one of the poker players in the leg.
Ortimay curses and chops Zandak's pirate in half. She then starts climbing across the rope.
Alvyn(Not Esker :P) snaps his fingers and a bell sounds near the pirate captain. He clutches his ears, turning pale as a sheet.
The poker-players strike at the ropes, but hitting a rope over and over with a mace is quite ineffective.
(Zandak, Grugg)

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
OoC: I meant to say "if Kosadius hit them", rather than "if Zandak hit them". I knew a 7 wasn't a hit. I think the whole Nantook/Zandak phonetic similarity got me, which is especially rich after I gave you a hard time for mixing up my username and my character's name. Oops. Ohwell. This is ok too.
After hitting the poker player with one of his javelins, once again Kosadius looks around then to see what is going on. Seeing Eili fall and looks lifeless, he moves in that direction quickly. Upon reaching her, he bends to a knee, caring not if he gets attacked. Reaching down to touch her and with a loud voice. "I ask Lathander with all his might, to grant my hands with the power to keep her with us longer."
(Kosadius will Lay on Hands on Eili for three hit points.)
(OOC first I didn’t want Zandak to throw the javelin at all, I only meant for him to try to actually stab the pirate. But just in case I’m not mistaking anything, was the throwing the javelin only because of the roll?)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Pre-post:
"Fifth verse, same as the fourth," says Alvyn. "About the same volume, and we'll see what it's wourth. Hmm... perhaps I should stick to wizarding and leave the poetry to the bards." He does the thing / the bell doth ring / more wisdom saves / above the waves.
Same ol' same ol'. toll the dead, DC 14 Wisdom Save or 12 necrotic, targeting an injured pirate, preferably a non-captain but the captain works too.
"I hope this fight ends soon; I could really use some lunch."
(Grugg wants to take the pirate ship. Since we’ve already killed the captain and there are only a couple (?) pirates left, he wants to raid the pirate ship for treasure!! Also needs armor.
