I've been playing with my level 6 tiefling bard for abit in my campaign and the DM asked if id like to either gain a magical instrument or some sort of armor (current AC is 13) He's gonna give me some suggestions but also open to me pitching anything.
Armor seems so mundane. My barbarian bard carries a harp made from the bones of an Iron Golem. He is a tragedy bard and this iron golem killed his lover so he slew it and made this harp from it's bones and horns. It is called Lament. It has seven strings that represent the seven stages of grief. The first string represents shock and when you pluck that string it aids you in casting a lightening bolt. Denial, perhaps it aids in casting the counterspell or modify memory. Acceptance, perhaps the cure wounds spell. My point is a musical instrument can be something unique and something that says a lot about your character.

Any suggestions or ideas on what to do?
