Scribbles sees Eztli quickly eating up the food, he rushes over and also grabs handfuls and eats, “Umm um, you gulp sure are a great eater! Thanks for your help! Umm, oh you want that bread?”
At this his patron is laughing a very scary laugh Scribbles finishes his mouthful of food and stops eating suddenly not as hungry.
Zadie's eyes roam over the rest of the bar scene and seeing the ruckus that just recently flared up has now died down again she brushes some stray leaves off of her cloak and makes herself presentable again. She moves from the entrance toward the table where the elf maiden sits and on her way stops a server to order, "Can I get an ale please?" before arriving swiftly at the table.
"Are you well my dear? Do you need any further assistance? I must confess I've just arrived myself and lack the details of what could of led to such a display of violence." Looking around at the others standing nearby, "Can someone please tell me the beginning of this story that I now find myself in the middle of?"

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Scribbles wiggles as a tiny mouse peeks out of his collar, “Yolla you tickle are you hungry here here eat some nice cucumber or cheese or bread. So nice.”
The elf maiden looks at Zadie and says "I'm fine. I just can't believe that just happened. Those guys tried to kidnap me. Probably to ransom me." Suddenly the two Tieflings from earlier rush in through the back door. They look exhausted and terrified. "Brystina! Brystina are you alright!" The elf maiden looks at the ground and looks back at the Tieflings. "I'm fine no thanks to you. What kind of bodyguards are you?!"
Taking note of the tieflings rushing back in, and the implication that they were bodyguards for the elf maiden, and that the elf only chose to respond to the tiefling that had helped with the bandits, Crix thinks to himself, It seems she has a type...
After seeing the bodyguards rush back in once things have settled down Zadie also addresses them, "Yes! I'm also curious as to what could have drawn the attention of both her bodyguards?"

The bodyguards look taken back by this as they look at you nervously "We were- The guys that came up to use said they would get use free drinks. We thought it was only going to be a little bit."
"Two-hundred gold, you say?" Crix confirms. "I could always use a bit of coin. You just wanting them taken care of, or do you want one of them brought back?"
"I'll certainly join a hunt for 200 gold Brystina but maybe you could be more forthcoming with a few details about just who it is we're supposed to be hunting?"
When Zadie's drink arrives she takes a swig of the ale to both quench her thirst and wet her lips.
"I mean there are a lot of Basterds in the world, and it would take a very long time to get them all."

"Alright then, it looks like you've just hired the... Basterd Brigade!"

“Hey that’s true all kobolds are not raised with a father. We just have to survive or die. Smart strong or lucky make it, dumb weak or jinxed usually don’t. What is a brigade though?”
In answer to Eztli's query, "All adventurers who band together need a catchy name and the best ones usually have something to do with their first quest."
Glancing at Scribbles when asked what a brigade is, "It's a name that armies use to describe groups of soldiers but it can be used colloquially, or in this case a little poetically to refer to a group that's selected or come together for some purpose or other."

“And and she is a noble so we are like her brigade! Do you hear that Yolla, I’m a member of the Basterd Brigade! Like a soldier.” Scribble pulls out a dagger and stands like a soldier in a fighting stance.
Out of Scribble’s mouth erupts a very feminine peal of laughter very clearly this is not Scribble’s reaction as his eyes look a bit panicked. As quickly as it happens it ends. Scribble head down gets back up to finish his food.
OOC- so a half-elf a kobold a yuan-ti and a teifling enter the Jackle’s bar, in the tiny (pop 50) town of Cullfield… end a possible kidnapping of an elven noble lady. She, Brystina hires us with a promise of 200g each. We name ourselves the Basterd Brigade. Currently we are hunting down the rest of the cloaked gang, some of which surrendered. Is that accurate so far?
Now the fight is done, Eztli sits down at the bar again. and starts helping herself to some of Scribbles meal.
Scribbles sees Eztli quickly eating up the food, he rushes over and also grabs handfuls and eats, “Umm um, you gulp sure are a great eater! Thanks for your help! Umm, oh you want that bread?”

”Lady elf do you know who those guys were?”

Having eaten enough of Scribbles meal to constitute payment for helping, Eztli goes back to eating her own meal.
{She needs to be bribed to help, but a very small bribe is enough.}

The elf girl looks at all of you. "Look those Basterds are dead man walking. I'll pay you each 200 gold if you hunt the rest of them down."
"Two-hundred gold, you say?" Crix confirms. "I could always use a bit of coin. You just wanting them taken care of, or do you want one of them brought back?"

Scribbles looks up nodding at the others, food and drink on his face hands and clothes, *yes yes gold means food warm sleep and nice friends…*
