Looking over the area Abishai, its not a bad location. There's no rock to create a solid wall on one side, but there are a few trees around the area that provide some natural cover, and you could try to create some sort of small makeshift spear wall or palisade. It does appear a little tighter than the last spot you set up camp though. Those of you with tents will be closer to other tents than previously. And with your roll, it appears as if perhaps this is a common stopping point to rest, Abishai. Beneath the snow, you spot an unnatural formation. Digging it out, you see a small rock ring for a fire pit and a small bundling of wood next to it.
As the camp is identified as a common rest stop along the path to Frostfall Hold, Abishai makes it clear he intends to set up camp for the night. "Let's make camp while we still have some light. Look there's even a bundle of wood by the fire ring to help keep us warm. I'll start sharpening spears from the nearby tree branches to make a ring around us. Hopefully that'll keep the wolves at bay."
Set on his task, Abishai works diligently to help secure their campsite. "I'll take first watch this night." He says as he takes a break to eat a portion of rations. He whispers into his alchemy jug for fresh water and passes it around to the group so everyone can stay hydrated.
Sounds like a plan. I'll take the second watch. Hopefully those goblins don't come back and find their friends. Skalma, you said you can hide our tracks? That might be a good idea.
Glancing around for any signs of danger before settling in and eating her food
Seeing that at least half of the party wants to set up camp, Iden breaths a sigh of relief. He will start ritual casting unseen servant and ask Nilme to find a good place for an owl to keep watch.
“I am happy to take the third watch.”
After he is done casting Iden will have Bob help clear out the camp site, bring wood to Iden so that Iden can clean it via prestidigitation and set up his tent.
The next few hours go by as you all work to set up your camp, cook food, warm up around the fire, and share Abishai'salchemy jug full of water. As things wind down, the majority of you retreat to your tents, for those of you that have them and your other sleeping arrangements in this frozen wasteland for those who do not. Abishai you, however, stay awake and keep an eye on the camp for the first leg of the night. You've gotten some makeshift spears built and placed, do you continue doing this during your watch?
(OOC:Abishai, Grelk, Iden, and Thrynn please give me perception checks for your individual watches)
"A wee trick I can muster." Skalma nods in response to Grelk's question. "We should be good after all that heavy snowfall, but when we move on in the mornin', I can make our footprints look like polar bears, sabre-toothed tigers or any heinous beastie ye can imagine!"
When it comes to tasks before bedding down, the frost goliath aids Abishai in forging a ring-wall of fearsome spikes around the camp, and then declares she will join Thrynn on the final watch.
"Mind ye wake me the auld fashioned way, Iden... and no' that hellish wraith that dances to yer beck and call."
Perception: 18 (OOC: For her shift on the watch. Also -1 Oil for her Bullseye Lantern; down to 48.)

“If others frequent this stopping area so much, there must be a good reason. Let’s follow their experience and stop here as well.”

Thyrnn setup his tent and reserves the last watch for himself again.

Oh, that'll do nicely.
Grelk's Perception Check = 13
Iden's/Nilme's Perception Check: 21
Iden used Bullseye Lantern with Control Flames(120 feet Bright/120 feet Dim Light)
Abishai continues to whittle spikes to set around camp as his watch starts, but prioritizes watching for threats as the rest of the group rests.

Viletta helps Abishai with the fence, staying up to help with the first watch as well.
"You may not be used to the north," she observes to the pessimistic guard, "but you think defensively. That helps, out here."
The alchemy water tastes good, clean and fresh when the jug makes its way to her, but she almost wishes to warm it on the fire first.

”thank you kindly for the water. Fresh water is essential out here and melting snow is an annoying task to do.”
