Out of the Abyss

(XD    When has a tiger companion ever been a bad idea?)

Rasharoo leads you to a large fungal mound in the center of the 'town'.  You can see two very large Myconoid individuals sitting cross-legged and silent.  They both turn as Rasharoo approaches, and stand up to greet him. Rasharoo turns to look at all of you and says in your minds, "This is Sovereign Phylo, and Sovereign Basidia, the two leaders of Neverlight Grove"

Both Sovereigns release a cloud of spores to allow them to speak to you as well. The one that was introduced as Phylo says"Stool! You are safe!  Thank you kind creatures for bringing him back. You arrive at a wondrous time, for Neverlight Grove is on the verge of something great, something marvelous! Celebrate, as the day of joy is nigh!"

What is the joyous thing you're going to celebrate? 

Lucky turns to Bigsby and whispers, "Why do I have a bad feeling about this?"

*they probably worship the zombie fungus or something....*****

(XD   Exactly...LOL...)

Bigsby cuts in “What is this marvelous thing that’s about to occur?”

Rhogar take a few steps forward. "Thank you forn your hospitality. I hope that we are not under dressed for this fine ocasion.." he would say before turning to Sut and giving him a confused shrug 

A small chuckling noise comes from Garruk at the notion of being underdressed, who still has not revealed his true nature to the Myconoids.

Sovereign Phylo says"Ohh, you'll have to wait and see. We have been preparing a grand event in the Garden of Welcome. We can head there soon, The Great Seeder can answer all of your questions."

The other sovereign, Basidia, comes up to Rasharoo, "Ahh, old friend, it is good to see you make it back safely. Come let me give your new friends a tour."

Recwyin - you can see that although Basidia is smiling, his eyes are staring intently at Rasharoo, as if trying to convey something to him.  Basidia also gives you all a similar look. "Please, let me show you all our fair village."

We would love to see it but we just came to return Stool, we've all got gone longer than he was and need to return to our homes and families.  Also I did promise a dwarf I'd go to her home and let her family know what happened to her,  plus this isn't really the place for a tiger... 

Rhogar will look at the mushroom man for a moment 12 as well...

Rhogar will nod to sut and telepathically tell him to fly up in the sky and keep an eye out of trouble 18 = perception

Sut takes off into the air to do a quick pass of the town. He sees that different terraces of the cavern have been set up for different purposes, some are overgrown with wild fungus, some are obviously dwellings for the myconoids, some you can't tell what the purpose might be.  The highest terrace is obscured by a wall of tall Zurkwoods that have been purposefully grown into a wall.

Garruk gives a low growl, not enough to be threatening, but enough to emphasize Recwyin’s point.

Lucky has a really bad feeling about this. "Your hospitality is most welcome, however, our mission is most dire and urgent.  We regrettably cannot stay for your celebration, nor is there time for a tour of your wonderful...uhmm...colony?  Town?  Colony-town?  In any case, we must go now.  Aid us to the way through or we will seek our own way out." Lucky laces this entire conversation with persuasive guile, and finishes with, "Your next actions will reveal your true intentions.  Trustworthy as we may be, foolish and weak we are not." Lucky's face is wrought with conviction and a hurried press for an answer from their overly-welcoming fungi hosts.

Both of the sovereigns react a bit differently to all of your wanting to leave so quickly.  Phylo looks a bit offended and a bit angry, but its hard to read a Myconoid's expressions.  Basidia only looks a little saddened by the news and his head drops slightly.   

Rasharoo says, "I told these people that I would guide them to a pathway that may lead them up to the surface, where they are from." He turns to you all, "Please allow me a moment to confer with the sovereign and make preparations, I know you are in a hurry to return home, but it is a long journey and I have only just returned."
