Garruk quickly spits out the infected piece of tree, and begins contributing towards the epic razing of the infected field, playing the part of the red fire monster with his breath.
Lucky lets out a sigh of relief before saying to his companions, "I think we've stumbled upon something truly foul here. Stool, if this wasn't here before...how long exactly have you been gone?"Lucky asks of their little fungal guide. "In any case, whatever the cause for this is, best to remain on guard as we proceed." Not saying anything anybody isn't already thinking, Lucky thinks to himself. He then begins to look for a way through the pretend fire-fighting monsters in what appears to be a roaring blaze of a playground before them that was once a dangerous field of infectious mushrooms."Yes, this will definitely make for a good song at the next inn we pass through..."Lucky says, after pausing a moment to watch Rhogar completely losing himself in play, as a very young child might with a shiny, new toy.
Garruk - you feel a little odd for a moment, until you spit out the wood, and feel normal again.
Stool responds to your inquiries, "Umm, I don't know how long its been. The Drow man grabbed me a while back, we traveled over the water, and I was trapped with you for a bit... Uhh, and then we all left, and traveled again..And now we're here. So like eleventy-three days? We aren't far from Home, its just a ways that way" and he points his body across the field to another tunnel that heads into the dark.
Standing there at the mouth of the tunnel is several Myconid creatures, watching you.
Also waving and speaking slowly Howdy we are here to return Stool to you safe and sound. As he talks Recwyin looks for signs of parasitic infection Perception 12
The Myconids come down into the field and come over to greet you, with arms raised to let you know they mean no harm. "The tallest of them lets out a puff of spores and says in your minds, "Well met outlanders. I'm am Rasharoo, and this is my circle." as he gestures to his companions. "Stool, are you the little one that went missing a few weeks past? It's good to see you made it back to the grove in one piece. I see you all have become aware of the odd changes that have come to Neverlight Grove recently. We only just returned as well, and we could tell something was amiss."
You just returned, where have you been? We're currently trying to get out of the underdark. Do you know the way or anything about these infectious parasites? Recwyin pauses not wanting to overwhelm the party of shrooms.
Lucky attempts to analyze their words and body language for deception.

"Stool was a prisoner with us in a Drow dungeon controlled be a Drow-woman named Madam Ilvara. My companions and I broke free and rescued Stool and these others from captivity, hoping that they could assist us in finding safe passage to the surface." Lucky informs the Myconids. "Now that Stool is home, our next priority is to get ourselves home. Would you lend us any aid you can provide? Including any knowledge of what seems to be infecting your lands. From these parasitic fungi to horrific god-beasts, our journey has been...problematic." Lucky's words carry a subtle attempt at persuading these creatures to lend more aid than they normally would offer.
Rasharoo responds, "We were out exploring the caves beyond the Grove, as we frequently do. We can guide you to a path that may take you back up to the surface. But you'll have to wait, we were on our way to speak to Sovereign Basidia, one of the two leaders of our home. We've been seeing evidence of this infectious fungal growth throughout our realm, and we must go report our finding to the Sovereign. You are welcome to come with us or wait for our return."
Recwyin looks around the group knowing that most don't want to be drug off task and would focus on getting home. Well, I suppose if we follow you then we can leave as soon as you finish giving your report instead of waiting for you to finish and return. Plus I'm assuming your village will be a safer resting area.
Lucky, glancing over at Bigsby, then back at their Myconid acquaintances, says, "And rations if you'd be so kind. Edible mushrooms would be especially considerate for our friend there. He seems to have a particularly fond infatuation with them. He's also quite powerful, so we keep him satiated with delectable delights to the best of our ability, given the...precarious environment we seem to find ourselves in as of late." Lucky makes the request hoping his subtle powers of persuasion are carrying through this conversation smoothly.
"I understand your desire to get home. We can certainly provide you with provisions as well. Please, come with us, it shouldn't take long." and he leads you through the tunnels, which branch and twist in different directions, but Rasharoo seems to know the way.
After a while you come out into a massive cavern, that has various terraced levels. You are up on a high terrace looking down into the Myconoid village. Water trickling from the walls of this vast cavern are channeled into a crude but effective irrigation system. A thick, sweet smell fills the air from the thousands of fungi of all colors and sizes, many glowing with a strange, inviting light. Beyond the mud and mushrooms that spread across the cavern, a large, clear pool sits in the midst of the fungal grove. A central mound seems to be the only dry spot in sight, though a small cliff rises above the cavern floor far across the clearing, with giant mushrooms visible in the distance. Bioluminescent fungi trace strange constellations along the cavern’s ceiling and walls, showing the darkness of the ravine and a mist-shrouded smaller cavern beyond. Pale cream and beige stalks grow thick and tall, resembling a surface world forest. Fungi grow in profusion everywhere, and it’s hard to find anything resembling a path between them.
"Follow me", Rasharoo says and he leads you into Neverlight Grove.
Lucky follows behind Rhogar, taking careful mental note of all that he sees. "This will also make for a wondrous tale to sing of. Truly a sight for eyes needing something other than darkness and danger."
Leggy also seems to be shuffling between Lucky's shoulders, peering with all his eyes at the gleaming fungus which surely holds many delicious bugs to hunt. Noticing this, Lucky turns his head slightly toward his lordly companion and says, "Yes, I think I understand. Try to stay close, and happy hunting! Oh, and if you happen to see anything of interest, please signal me and I'll ask for a translation." Not knowing if Leggy understands what he's saying, and assuming that he doesn't, Lucky attempts a pointy-talky charade to help communicate his intent. Then lets Leggy down to do what spider royalty does.
As Garruk and Rhogar finish up their ‘game’ and return to the group, Garruk remains in tiger form, padding up next to Recwyin and remaining there, last whisps of smoke curling out his nostrils.

I don't know, a couple of my misses were pretty damn bad. They may be sitting pretty much at my feet

Stool how far away are we? We need a rest and a plan.
Recwyin - you can recover all your arrows.

Recwyin - none of them look infected

Rhogar would step forward "We will accompany you and help you with this plague if you promise to provide us a path out of this dark place."

Bigsby nods in approval to Lucky.
”yes we need to get out of here, but we can’t let this plague fester.”

Unsure what to expect, but optimistic Recwyin continues walking glad to have a tiger nearby...just in case
