Please avoid choosing a class that someone has already chosen, I get it, you want to be a wizard, but I like some variety instead of 5 wizards running around.
I could not be bothered to use the actual DnD sources so this is going to be almost all homebrew.
This campaign is not going to be very serious, as you could guess by the name.
The campaign will only continue if there are two players or more, any players are free to join at any time
Current Players: Jojo the Monk, Leif the Warlock, Harnail the paladin, uzt nus the idiot, Verdosi the monk
Rolled up PC. Will be a medic (like M*A*S*H)...I mean a cleric or a monk. The background is sounding serious, but comedy does need a serious backdrop. I need to flesh him out some more.
While in the army Jojo found a deeper belief in his god and became I true follower. His superior officers recognized this changed and transferred him to become a cleric. During a battle while Jojo was kneeling over a comrade and praying for his soul an enemy broke through of his bonds and quickly was able to have a huge bludgeoning type hit across the side of Jojo's unprotected head. The hit was so bad his skull was cracked. Jojo laid in the hospital for weeks as he recovered. The damage was sever and he lost a lot of his long term memory. He has since gained much of those lost memories. But to remember his personal past is still forgotten. The doctors found that the Army has failed Jojo with past records as all of Jojo's where lost in a fire and there is no "official record" of Jojo ever joining. Like all recruits, he has the serial number tattooed across his right rear upper back and the along the left buttock (for battlefield id). Tent mates recall Jojo mentioning a wife name Peg and that he was a new father who planned to see the offspring during the next leave cycle, but that was it. There have been no letters addressed to Jojo since the incident and if one does show up, the Army will update Jojo's records based on that letter and forward it to Jojo. Jojo was discharged, and using the alms of his god and fellow clerics he is wandering the land in search of his family. In the hopes of receiving a family letter, Jojo still maintains regular contact with the army.
What level? I assume 2024 character build?
Lvl 1 Monk - Aasmiar (geared to choose heal over damage)
“Let’s stock up on mountain gear. I need some warm weather clothes too. While we’re at it stocking plenty of water and food is never a bad idea, perhaps some liquor to ward off the chill.” Leif looks through Glass’s eyes. (Glass is Leif’s currently invisible sprite familiar) who is looking behind the bar for special reserve bottles of good stuff.
Stocking up sounds like a great idea. Put a little alcohol into the water as that will keep the water from freezing to quick. I will go get rations and you grab the alcohol and we will meet at the clothing department.
(Nice to meet you Doc Jojo, let’s say our characters are friendly acquaintances looking at this quest. Let’s also assume we buy mundane items and skip ahead to the next step…)
You stock on gear, which costs gold, but you promise the shopkeepers their share once you've found the treasure.
Jojo and Leif head over to the mountains, but a strange man is sleeping by the entrance to the caves.
Approaching, the man awakes and looks over at the adventurers.
"Wassup my Homies, this caverns lowkey dangerous, but if you beat me I'll skibidi split and let you in to go find your 24 karat labubu, now, I wouldn't want to have you kids biting the curb, so if you sneak past me like imposter from among us, I won't stop you, no cap."
The gatekeeper, despite his frail appearance, is too strong to be beaten, perhaps you should sneak past?

*Submitting Harknail, an ancient warforged paladin, who has just recently dug his way back out after being entombed for a LONG LONG time.
Background:
Harknail was built a very very long time ago for a war that finished before he was completed. With the war over he was assigned as a town guard. When clearing out the dungeons beneath an evil wizard's tower, the squad he was assigned to was trapped by a cave in, with no way out. With no supplies, the humans of the squad were doomed. They spent their last days telling him all of their stories, giving him messages to pass on to loved ones if he was rescued soon (he wasn't), and told to pray to Kord. Harknail's prayers were answered, though he has no idea why. But the power of prayer preserved his body, and more importantly his mind until he was finally able to dig his way out.
Harknail has been buried so long that there isn't even a memory of the town he used to work at. Nor is there any trace of the wizards tower. Harknail is OLD! He speaks in an archaic fashion, I was thinking he's be appropriate for a humorous game.
He could finish digging his way out anywhere, and is likely to latch on to the first humanoids he's seen after ages alone. *
*Wait, is this just like fighting monsters or does it have plot?*

One peculiar quest catches their eyes, one about finding a lost ancient treasure within the molten caves of the Coaldeer mountains.
