Trigger enters what appears the largest chamber of this foundry, the laboratory itself. The room, excluding entry, is roughly 30 by 30 feet. There are a total of eight vats of various sizes by the walls. All of them are six-feet tall but of varying volume. They are filled to the top with liquid substances that radiate a faint green light. It could not be water, not after this long. The liquid inside the vats is blue or green but it appears to be thicker than water. The way it bubbles, it appears similar to oil. From where you stand at the entry, the vats do not appear to be empty.
The floor is littered with metal implements, rusty instruments, and all kinds of laboratory paraphernalia. It looks as if someone had trashed the place before abandoning it. It was not a recent event; the dust layer is thick in this chamber too.
There are two metal tables in the middle of the room. One is empty, but the other one has something on it. The object on the table radiates faint green light.

After the swarm of rats from the previous room and the fact that those large, bubbling vats appear to contain something within... Lily will wait behind Eman and enter only after the others have done so. "Do you think that green glow it what we are looking for?"
With detect magic still active, Berlyn will follow J'Sahriel into the room, about 10-15 from the doorway. Seeing the green glow, she will also send Marlowe, her unseen servant, up ahead with Trigger.
"Trigger, I have someone, uh, something, that can pick that up if you don't want to touch it," she call over to him, "Just let me know..."
The object is two and a half feet long and appears to be a brown colored stone cog. There appear to be circles of inscriptions on its face. This may be the schema you have been looking for!
Berlyn senses a faint transmutation aura on the vats and the green glowing object.
Anyone proficient in the Arcana skill, that is near the cog, knows...
The runes on the schema are so old that there may only be a couple of people in Khorvaire able to decipher them.
Any may make a History check to remember the following about House Cannith...
Everyone Knows - House Cannith is responsible for the creation of most magical artifacts and mundane magic that cities across Khorvaire use.
DC 14 - (Berlyn already knows this.)
Baron Merrix d’Cannith is the current leader of House Cannith in Sharn.
DC 16 - (Trigger already knows this.)
You know the previous spoiler. You also know that the creator of the warforged is Baron Merrix d’Cannith’s grandfather, who bears the exact same name. He created the first production run of warforged thirty three years ago. All creation forges were outlawed in the Treaty of Thronehold.
DC 20 -
There are rumors that imply that House Cannith did not really invent the warforged, but rather reverse engineered the technology from other cultures from the ancient past. There are no hard proofs to this claim.
Trigger, on his approach, also notices a chest on the northern wall. Bloody Spear approaches but doesn't seem cautious at all. She stands nearby Trigger with her hands on her hips and whistles. "Whew. Glad you stopped me from trying to hock my fake. It looks nothing like this cog."

Trigger's History Check: 7
"I suspect that this object may be a bit too heavy for your servant, Miss Berlyn. Might I suggest having it check the chest for any sort of safety measures?"
Trigger looks all about the cog for any signs of safety measures on it.
Playing in: Shepherds of Truth - Thomas Roth, Shepherd of Mystra Aerovail, Cities in the Sky - Aidan Burke, Smuggler The Missing Schema - Trigger, Morgrave Trap-Breaker Echoes of the Past - Einar Barruk, Fight Club Brawler Once in Waterdeep - Nagao Jun, Windwise Wanderer
"Sure thing!" Berlyn moves toward the chest, bringing Marlowe with her. "By the way, both the vats and that cog have some magical properties. Either they were changed from something else or they do the changing. You may want to take care." (Can she find out anything else with an Arcana check?) Then she will inspect the chest for traps, etc. having Marlowe do any manipulations necessary.
Berlyn, there seem to be no traps on the chest. At your command, Marlowe opens the chest up and pulls forth an old scroll case. With the remaining time on your detect magic spell, you sense an abjuration aura over the case. It's enchanted to keep whatever is held within safe and well preserved. You also manage to get a peek into a vat. It seems like there are floating body parts within.
Bloody Spear walks out further into the lab and seems to be heading to the vat in the opposite corner of the room, until...
Trigger, the rune doesn't seem trapped at all. You reach for it to expect it further and, perhaps, stuff it into the bag of holding your group possesses. As you approach with the intention of grabbing the ancient artifact, it begins to vibrate; a thumping low-pitched vibration you can feel in your core. The vibration is stronger and weaker in a pattern similar to that of a heartbeat. The schema rises from the table, floating a few inches from the table’s surface.
Everyone, something catches your attention. The little trinkets and pieces of laboratory hardware littering the floor vibrate and start moving. Smaller objects collide into bigger ones to create an exponentially larger thing. Before you stand, within several heartbeats, 6-feet tall bodies made mostly of metal. The don’t have hands but instead, their arms end up in sharp blades. In the middle of their faces, eyes of green light glare at you from beneath foreheads bearing identical cog-shaped ghulra sigils.
There are clear differences but no one would blame you if you said they were some kind of warforged. Your eyes are involuntarily drawn away from the scene as the schemas vibrating pitch changes. Suddenly, the strange warforged-like creatures violently lurch towards you.

J'Sahriel, Eman, and Lily all gang-up on enemy B. J'Sahriel feels that her arrow didn't quite make the impact she was hoping for, possibly because of the make-up of this creature. Lily's blast deals an amazing amount of damage, causing several bits and pieces of this automaton to shed from its body. As Eman strikes Enemy B down, he sees that the scrap metal scattered nearby it start to rumble. Enemy B crumbles to the ground, completely dismantled.
Berlyn may feel a pang of sorrow as Enemy B was the enemy that was successfully bane'd, while Enemy A managed to shrug off the mental assault.
Trigger's sledgehammer deals a heavy blow to Enemy A. Trigger sees Bloody Spear rushing up to pincer Enemy A into the corner it has found itself in. With her longsword, Bloody Spear slashes toward Enemy A, but it successfully blocks her attack with its blocky arm.
Enemy A is alone, but doesn't seem perturbed by this development. In fact, both Trigger and Bloody Spear find this thing incredibly eerie now that they are looking at it. If Bloody Spear had skin, you'd guess she would have turned white as a sheet. This is something Trigger is able to sense at least.
Junk and trinkets from the ground tremble and fly up. They seem to patch themselves onto Enemy A almost like makeshift armor. This is very troubling. They strike out at Trigger vigorously with their blade arm! (Trigger -> Attack: 16, Damage: 6) Then they lash out at Trigger again with their other arm! (Trigger -> Attack: 12, Damage: 10)

"Well, that didn't go as I hoped," Berlyn mumbles disappointed. Concerned with how the monster was reconstructing itself, she tried to put pieces together: body parts in the vats, the vibrating cog...these things were definitely guarding something and whether it is the thing in the scroll case or the artifact on the table, she figures the latter has something to do with monsters. She sends Marlowe over to try and retrieve the cog and put it in the bag of holding, hoping that putting it in an extradimensional space will subdue its effects. (Bonus Action).
Feeling she doesn't have much in the way of dealing damage, Berlyn tries to unsteady the miscreation, "Having a hard time holding it together, robot?" (vicious mockery WIS Save DC13; Damage: 3)
It is a bonus action to have the unseen servant retrieve something, but I figure there might be something extra involved here, so understand if the spell is void. Also, should I roll some sort of check for her theories?
