Trigger is most definitely waiting outside the office when the others arrive, holding the same stance as the night before, his face still unreadable.

(I assume Berlyn and J'Sahriel are coming from their dorm room and will arrive a bit early to await the others with Trigger.)
"Good morning, Professor Daela," Berlyn returns the greeting. "Yes, we wanted to get an early start. Here is the team we have assembled." She indicates the others. "These two are Emmanuel Maxwell and Lily. And you may know Trigger from other University expeditions..." She trails off to let professor commence his interview.
Put your spoiler here. (I'd love more info on the university)
While Berlyn goes to track down Trigger, ultimately finding him waiting outside the Professor's office, J'Sahriel heads off to the university's main entrance to meet up with Eman and Lily so she can escort them across campus.
"Good morning!" she calls out in a chipper, almost sing-song voice when she greets them. It is very clear J'Sahriel is one of that rarest of breeds which has no qualms about early hours...the morning person. "We'll be meeting with the Professor very soon, if you both want to follow me?"
Presuming they agree to follow, J'Sahriel leads the way to the professor's office.

Trigger enters the room last and stands at the back of the group so as to not stand in anyone's way. He resumes his stance, nodding slightly when pointed out by Berlyn. He ignores the other man in the room.

Information everyone knows:
Morgrave University might not be the most prestigious university in the Five Nations, but it is the largest educational institution in Sharn. The University strongly influences the character of the Upper Menthis ward, drawing academics, scribes, sages, and students from all over Breland and beyond. A diverse mix of races and national origins populate Upper Menthis. In addition to the University, Upper Menthis’s role as the crown of Sharn’s entertainment quarter has made a significant impact on the character of the ward, and four major theaters have been established here.
The additional info that Trigger and Manny know:
The rumors of MU's scandals consist of smuggling, tomb robbing, and profiteering. Its current master, Lord Larrian ir’Morgrave, is attempting to repair Morgrave’s reputation, but he has his work cut out for him.
Manny also knows:
Morgrave University Library: Centrally located on the University campus near the top of Dalannan Tower (just below the dome of Lareth Hall), the Morgrave University Library has the most extensive collection of books in all of Breland. It pales in comparison to the great library at Korranberg, but a significant number of Zilargo expatriates live in Den’iyas and work to make the Morgrave Library the best resource it can be.
You also feel certain that, depending on the topic, you could easily find information in this library that will help you if you know what topics to look up. (Metaknowledge: advantage on certain lore-related checks.)
"Ah yes, Trigger,"Professor Daela nods from behind his desk. He offers the Warforged a kind smile. "So glad you will be helping out these students. I think they will not disappoint. I may consult with you later about their performance with the task at hand if you don't mind.
"Now, why don't we discuss the expedition! A bit of preface is in order, please humor an old man," Daela's smile begs for your patience, "My area of expertise is the study of ancient relics and cultures." Daela pulls out a map of Sharn's lower wards and extends it on the table, "Sharn is much older than you'd think. Before modern Brelanders lived here, there were goblins, and then sarlonans. Modern settlers closed all those areas off and continued building on top of them. The foundations of the city are old ruins and dungeons, with most of those inaccessible..."
The second man in the room, who has yet to introduce himself, chimes in, "And this is where you come in! You need to bring something from The Depths. The question is... are you up for the task?" He rubs his chin as he examines each of you. It seems he would like an answer.

J'Sahriel looks curiously at the man, unsure exactly what to make of him at the moment.
"Well, I guess we'll never know if we don't try, will we?," she responds slowly, looking at the other party members to hopefully get their support before turning back to the man. "And I don't think we've met or been introduced. Might we have your name, good sir?"
"Hum, how rude of me!" The man shakes his head at himself and offers a slight smile. "Name's Kant. Haras Kant. I'm an old friend of Garthen, you see."

“Well, I am fairly capable at finding stuff,” Berlyn responds as she involuntarily scratches her left shoulder. “Do you have any particular concerns?” She looks intently at this gentleman trying to ascertain his intentions.
"Can we get a copy of that map?" Is the first thing Emanuel asks; his eyes focused on it. When people begin questioning the man, he chimes in; "What exactly is your involvement in this expedition Mr Kant?"
"You wound me so..."Haras shakes his head. He speaks directly to Emmanuel, "It almost sounds like you think I'm a criminal."
Berlyn's check:
You pick up on the essence of this man. His clothes are fine and well-tailored, and you spy several rings upon his finger. From the way he carries himself, upright, head tall, and with nose pointed upward, this man thinks he is better than you all in some way and given his expensive taste in clothing - you are certain he is, at the very least, better off than you all. Haras reminds you of the upper members of your own House, particularly those who have stopped offering their services and instead manage others.
Yet, you don't recognize him as a member of any houses and the skin that is revealed to you bares no mark. It is possible that he is a dragonmarked house member of some house, but he carries himself with so much important you think you would have heard of him.
No, you suspect he's, perhaps, a noble. You've dealt with them often enough. Now that you are on that train of thought it's hard to imagine this man is anything BUT an aristocrat.
"Mr. Kant is the one funding this expedition,"Professor Daela explains as Haras leans against a bookshelf with a crestfallen expression. "Thanks to the generosity of our friend here, Haras Kant, we will pay you upon retrieval of the artifact. But there’s more, if you find any other artifacts or ancient trinkets, I will buy them from you too. Any other thing you find down there you can keep.
Without further ado..." the old man turns the map towards you all for your study. "I have cross-referenced some old maps of the city and used a few scrying spells to determine the location of a relic I want to study. We are looking for an ancient schema. It looks like a stone cog with inscriptions on both sides. It is valuable for my research of old cultures..." Daela looks back at Haras, who gives an approving nod. “You will have to skycoach down to Lower Tavick’s Landing, to Cogsgate Ward.” Haras Kant visibly reacts disgustedly with the notion of going so far down to the base of the city. Professor Daela continues, “From there, you can take a lift down to Blackbones ward, in the Upper Cogs, and find access to the sewers. It is the only way to reach this location on the map. You are looking for an old abandoned House Cannith laboratory that was buried after the War of the Mark. Here, you will find a sealed door that opens to the sewers.”
