(Baobur and Tevii- can you tell me what your plan is before I give you your options for a result? Odds are pretty slim you're going to outright fail this after Baobur's 11)
(Don't under estimate Ru's ability to keep it interesting. Step 1:) Baobur plans to avoid being followed by those crabs. (Step 2: I'll let Tevii decide the next step of the plan. Step 3: ... Profit.)
Cordelia consults Dusty for a moment and looks out to the crabs. They seem to be communicating with each other, possibly even tracking the pair of them. Was that possible? Her earlier encounter with the crab proved that they were foes. She had several questions that popped like popcorn into mind.
What did the crabs want? Why were there so many of them? Did they really mean to overwhelm just the two of them, Tevii and Baobur? Was this part of some bigger scheme? What should I do? Is my only option to run even if they potentially chase us down?
With such difficult exteriors and the lack of blunt weaponry, not even Baobur could face one on his own. Being caught by even a single crab would spell their doom.
(Honestly, I got nothing. I am not sure what we have at our disposal other than my knife and Dusty.)

Baobur tries to work his way back around to the beach further north. Taking Tevii's hand and leading her. She's been acting odd lately, like the whole world is a new experience...
"Ama-"Cordelia was about to call him by the 'wrong' name. "B-Baobar, let's be careful. Who knows what else is lurking nearby..." She kept her eyes peeled. That strange mousey feeling was overtaking her again, though she felt this time she wouldn't be completely lost in it as she was before.

"I don't think my bones would let me, can someone climb up the mast and see it they can spot anything coming from a higher perspective?"
/---Joja, Elodin, and Garo---/
Elodin, you say that, and you realize that everyone outside of your party has gone deathly still. The color has been leeched out of the world in this fog, and droplets of condensation are glistening dully on the fur of the crew. No one and nothing is frozen in time. Instead, it's as if Norn, his shrews, Fellori, and Keenwhistle have all been "switched off". Their eyes stare ahead lifelessly, and they sway from side to side with the rocking of Fela's Blessing. Looking up to the mast (where a shrew had already been positioned), you realize that the fog is too thick to see either its top or the shrew perched upon it.
Garo seems to be similarly entranced (more on that in a moment). Joja, however, is still alert. Perspicacious, you wanted to find some sign of your party? As the pale light begins to approach, you notice something bobbing in the water. Playing on a hunch, you reshape your empty bow into a long pole and fish baobur's axe from a tangle of driftwood. They must have passed this way! Maybe they're nearby! Before you have time to act on that hope, however, a life-sized, glowing green snake emerges from the water directly before you. It takes you both a moment before you recognize it as the carved prow of a large vessel. The craft sloooowly surfaces, brackish water gushes from every open slat and port. The ship has seen better days. Corals and mussels coat its surface, and the wood is riddled with rotten holes. You see no one aboard, which is almost a relief. (Almost)
Garo, you are dreaming again. This time you are sitting on a small sandy island in the center of a perfectly still lake. You seem to be are entirely alone. A large, redstone abbey sits at an ideal piece of the shore, just at the origin of a crystal clear stream that flows from the cool waters of this lacuna. Looking just beside the abbey, you see a cemetery...
...And just like that, they are back. The dead mice line the shore at the water's edge, glowing a pale green and flickering like swamp lights. You feel a blast of hatred. For your lies, for your theft of this strong warrior's body. They move as one, fanning out along the water's surface, but you have nowhere to run.
(With an 18 on Orienteering, Baobur (the higher roller) can pick one of the following: -You escape notice -You find a shortcut -You find help in an unexpected place)
You make your way through the woods slowly, quietly picking through the underbrush. After an hour of this, you have made your way partway alongside the beach, the bulk of the crabs are now behind you. Despite your stealth, you emerge from a clearing and happen upon a large ghost crab, claws clacking. You have no time! It scuttles in your direction immediately!
Baobur steps forward and holds his arms up ahead of himself, glaring at the crab defiantly. Baobur's had a bad day. Now he's mad. (Protect: 9, Berserk: 5) He doesn't have the strength left to do much more than get pummeled into the dirt.
Jean drew her tower blade, clearly at the end of her patience. "I didn't do this, this was done to me! I didn't steal your warrior, but if you still mean me harm - so be it come and taste my steel!"
Jean, the dead mice are nearly upon you. They halt for a moment in the light of your blade, but slowly flicker forward once again like rain down rippled glass. Just as the light of your blade reaches its peak, you see a silhouette appear upon the water's surface. At that, the dead finally stop, unsure about this new arrival.
It is Rowan, Leafstride Ranger of the Long Patrol. He looks down to his hands, inspecting his spectral form. Then he glances back to you standing alone with your tower blade in hand.
"So that was it. You were never truly Garo..." He looks back to the encroaching dead. "Looks as though they've seen it, as well. They'll kill you, you know, even in this place- it is their domain." He sighs, "And I suppose, for the time being, it is mine as well. Do not be afraid, traveling warrior. I sense that you mean our world and our people no harm.; fear will kill you in the silent world." The mouse suddenly appears more solid, more present. He grips his longsword, and the weight, the pressure of his being is exerted upon the pale figures on the water. They burst into motes of light like dandelion seeds in the wind.
The world around you begins to fade, Jean, but you hear the ranger's voice once more before all fades to black (This is your hold for Haunted by the Past). "You are nearly to the lake. Continue onward. You will learn what happened there, but be warned: you will find only two things at the lake: the enemy and the dead."
Baobur moves like a ca- something. (Body: 11)
