Jean's body is momentarily paralyzed from head to toe. As amaruve tears into the naga, however, she is instantly released from the effects of the spell
Perspicacious levels her empty bow once again, tracking the wyvern easily now that its movements have slowed. In the back of her mind, she can't help but to briefly marvel at the lightness of the weapon she now holds, and how accustomed she has grown with using it. Attack: 20Damage (force): 5 + 7 She then tries to duck behind an air vent to provide some cover before the drake can retaliate. Stealth: 9

The wyvern and fire snake, sensing that the tide of the battle has shifted away from them, attack the nearest target (Jean) simultaneously. Wyvern: 12Damage (piercing): 16 + (poison) 23 (DC 15 CON save for 1/2 damage) Fire Snake: 19Damage (piercing): 4 + (fire) 6

The Wyvern, Fire snake, and portal each take 18 damage from the spirit guardians. The fire snake and wyvern are both nearly destroyed by the onslaught, black blood pouring from their wounds. The portal begins shimmering and bubbling madly.
The portal takes 18 fire dmg and bubbles faster, shrinking quite a bit further. The two monsters, nearly spent, look confused for a moment. Then they, like the remains of the bone naga, dissolve into black goop and return to the hole.
The surface of the goop is silent for a moment. Then, instead of the expected roar, there is a faint humming at the edge of hearing.

Perspicacious pokes her head out from behind the vents when the monsters dissolve. Eyeing the hollow sphere, she reaches out with Mage Hand, tentatively trying to see what happens when it's touched. At the same time she calls out to the group, "Any idea what this is?"

Gordra, you do indeed detect a thought or two:
It's like a silent tornado. You have an image of countless beasts and people stuck in a living tar pit, all struggling in vain to escape it. Drow, elves, halflings, humans, dragonborn... Dozens (if not hundreds) of souls have been sucked in this black mass. They don't make a sound, their eyes are closed, and yet you can see sorrow etched in the lines of each face.
Over all of this you detect vast, unending amusement.
And then your mind is kicked forcibly from the sphere, dealing 2 psychic damage.
Perspicacious, the sphere ripples upon contact by your mage hand. I'm not sure whether you get a sense of the things your spectral hand touches, but this feels... gross. Slick and yet somehow also sticky; it's like someone made ooblek out of used engine oil. As you gently tap it, some of the goop begins to quest outward toward your the hand...
She drops mage hand immediately, letting out a groan, "Ewww, that's not right...
She levels the Empty Bow at the sphere, pulling back on the bowstring. "I have a feeling this thing needs to die, all agreed?"
(OOC I'm readying an action to attack with the bow the moment the sphere does anything aggressive (attacks, emits more creatures, etc.). I'm not sure she would have seen it's attack on Gordra.)
Amaruve Roars threateningly and prepares to Dodge any strike the monster makes. (His rage fades in this period of inaction, I think. I'm not sure where it falls in initiative.)
Gordra and Luna, without any warning from the sphere, you each take 20 necrotic damage. As you do so, it begins moving upward toward Vasht, who still hangs suspended in midair above you, bound by orange and purple bands of light.
Seeing its ascendance towards Vasht and the bands of light, she does two more things. She calls out to Jean, "Jean, do you see those bands of light around Vasht? Can you try to break them? We need to get him free." (Bonus Action: Help)Then she reaches in her pocket for the mammon coin, trying to see if there's any warmth coming from it.

Nothing immediately happens to any of you. The black goop stirs, then rises into the air in a rough hollow sphere:
It floats in mid-air in front of you all, the echoing whispers of the Fatal Susurrus surrounding you like a knife-edged wind.
Nothing else happens. There is a sense of appraisal, of expectation about the black sphere.

The sphere rises slowly and unevenly, pushing its way upward like a grotesque jellyfish. It will take a few seconds before it reaches the bound angel.
Perspicacious' force arrow hits its mark, but there's no obvious sign of damage.
AP, there is exactly one band of light coming from the Mammon coin. It leads straight into Vasht.
