The initial shock of pain, and the ghastly sight of an arrow sticking out of her arm, would be enough to cause her to faint, but the strange glow of the coin grabs a hold of Perspicacious' attention, and the pain and arrow are forgotten for just a brief moment. "It's so pretty, and golden,"she says, and she reaches out with her mind to pull on that bright golden string, reaching across towards the heart of the hobgoblin.
Space reserved for a roll if needed. Not sure if I did that right either, but we'll see. :)
Perspicacious takes ahold of the coin once again. There is a sudden throb and her vision compresses into a narrow beam of golden light. With a rushing sensation she feels the world spin past her in a kaleidoscope of shapes and sounds. Her vision fades to darkness, and strange though the sensation is, this feeling is now familiar to her.
For a while, there is darkness...
...Then Perspicacious opens her eyes. In her hands is a bow, string still vibrating from the shot she just fired. Across from her is a woman dressed in black leather and a moss green bandana, clutching at her shoulder and groaning in pain as she slowly loses consciousness.
Her arms are thick and powerful, and as Perspicacious rises from her crouch she notes that she stands fully a foot taller than she did before. The coin now rests within her pocket, but its warmth is gone.
(Perspicacious has displaced the hobgoblin! All party members looking at the hobgoblin now see her "spirit" within and surrounding this new form)

The two bandits standing outside of their barrel shift from side to side for a moment, then the pair begins to sprint forward. Amaruve, you see that these are more constructs wrapped in piratey illusions.
From within the barrel another shape is moving. It is quite a bit larger than the other bandits, though it is still vaguely piratical. Then with a bang like a gunshot four beams of purple energy shoot forth.
Attack: NA (magic missile) Damage v. Amaruve:5 v. Gordra:3 v. Cordelia:5 v. Jean:3
The Professor isn't watching the scene outside the barrel, he remains inside trying to make sense of his current dual form. That is until a bolt of force slams into Cordelia and a second later another into him. "Bahhh.. it appears we will not be allowed to remain out of this scuffle Ms. Luna. Let me see what I can do." Gordra peeks his head outside for just a moment to get an idea of whats been happening. He then points his cane towards the barrel where the 'bandits' are coming from, he squints one eye and looks down the shaft of his staff, lining up his shot. And casts Fog Cloud.
**attempting to cast it centered on the running pirate illusions hopefully getting their barrel too, looking to make things difficult for them
Does Gordra have spell shaping? If not, I think it's reasonable to assume that the Professor would be able to shape something as malleable as a fog Cloud, at least initially. Given the volume of the 20-foot radius half sphere, that comes out to a roughly 12 ft wide tunnel of fog extending 50ft to the barrel.
(edit: just re-read your post. I must have initially misunderstood. Your choice: sphere or tunnel?)
Cordelia is up! Why don't you all simply post your actions for this next turn and I'll apply them or make corrections where needed?
Amaruve, you saw through the main illusion at the end of your last turn. You see a very large, very squishy homunculus nearly filling the interior of its barrel before the professor's fog cloud obscures your vision. It is flailing two fleshy appendages at the smaller homunculi like a puppeteer, and they are now beginning to blacken and smoke as they draw nearer to the party, and a popping fizzle like a lit fuse can be heard. The fog blankets them and you see their shadows pause for a moment...
Amaruve and Jean stand between the creatures and the two researchers in the South barrel. Perspicacious is at the West barrel in hobgoblin form. The puppetmaster is in the East barrel, now hidden in fog.

Amaruve charges through the illusions into the fog on the swift powerful legs of this form. Blind in the fog he transforms again. He grows larger than before. each leg and arm pops and divides and his black fur grows to cover his body and his 8 legs. His keen senses reveal his surroundings, the creatures breathe, the vibrations of its movements tickling the wiry fur of Amaruve's abdomen, the heat radiating from its body. He can sense the thing as clearly as if it were standing in the light with Blindsight.
If he is not in reach, he turns and produces a spray of Web from his spinnerettes, hitting 6(adv. If the target is blind 11) restraining the creature on a hit.
If he can reach he'll Bite it instead using the same attack roll for 6 piercing damage and 8 poison (DC 11 Con for half)
Web:
Web (Recharge 5–6).Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 30/60 ft., one creature. Hit: The target is restrained by webbing. As an action, the restrainedtarget can make a DC 12 Strength check, bursting the webbing on a success. The webbing can also be attacked and destroyed (AC 10; hp 5; vulnerability to fire damage; immunity to bludgeoning, poison, and psychic damage).

Either fortunately or by design, Amaruve waits to transform until he is under cover of fog- hiding him from the already nervous crowd. Once in his newly-twisted form, he sees the heat of the constructs like road flares. To his senses they are powder kegs, ready to blow.
Thinking quickly, Amaruve streaks forward on his nightmarish limbs, and with his chitinous maw of fangs he bites into the nearest homunculus. The burning flesh bursts in his mouth, dealing 2 fire damage as the creature dies.
(Everyone feel free to post their planned actions. Cordelia, I haven't forgotten you. You are free to retcon and take an action before Gordra's fog cloud if need be!)

(I'm good with moving last in the initiative given the circumstances.)
Prior to the fight breaking out, Cordelia tried to make heads or tails of the situation. However, the sudden cheering and impeding fight jostled her out of her concentration. She scrunched her nose as she saw the bear run out and attempt to strike at what seemed to be an illusion or perhaps a goblin pirate-ninja. "Professor, I had no idea you had a familiar. Given the size of him, I suppose there would have been no space for him in the lab."
Cordelia tried to get a sense of what she was seeing in front of her. (Investigation: 9)
Finally acting for her 'turn,' Cordelia reached for her shortbow. She normally kept it and a quiver under her poncho. Instead of the poncho, she had a black leather jacket. Who knew what she might pull out?
If she pulls out her shortbow, or any other ranged weapon, she will fire at the nearest true enemy... assuming she can perceive them anyhow.

Before the fog or the start of the next turn order...
Cordelia recognizes that something is amiss. She turns her keen gaze to the speeding pirates, and suddenly, like a Magic Eye picture, the image of the construct shifts into place. Her bolt pierces the homunculus and it whistles like a teakettle as pressurized steam begins pouring out of the resultant pore. It continues on, unabated, as the fog rolls in.
(Cordelia, are you saying you don't realize the bear is Amaruve? Amar takes out the second construct with his attack in the fog. Now Jean's up! Jean, were you standing within the radius of the fog or are you outside of it?)
(Cordelia has 0 idea about this. She's had her nose in Dusty's screen while everything was happening around her.)

On Perspicacious's turn, feeling the raw strength of the hobgoblin's physique now at her command, she deftly swivels the longbow towards the closest enemy creature she can see, pulls an arrow from the quiver, knocks it, and lets it fly. (Using the same modifiers the Hobgoblin used)
Have no fear, AP! Your closest enemy is in the barrel, and therefore entirely shielded from attacks from your vantage point. More than disadvantage, the other enemy is completely covered in fog, and it wouldn't make sense for you to fire blindly at it, either
We'll pretend that crap roll never happened! What will you do, instead?
Keep in mind that you're still a rogue at heart, so sneak attacks with your bow are possible
((Given that situation, I would hold an attack action with the bow for when I spotted an enemy exiting the fog cloud. If that means keeping that roll, I'm okay with that. Takes time to get use to inhabiting other bodies. :D But if you're giving me a reroll, I'll post in a spoiler, and if the situation happens, we can use that roll. Otherwise, that will be my turn.))
Attack: 18 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. Sneak Attack, if applicable: 3
Jean yelped as the magic missile struck her. She was about to charge for the opponents' barrel but then it was enveloped in fog. Shield braced before her she planted her feet and waited to see what would come out of the fog.
(I need to be brief, but I can expand in just a bit if need be)
Jean sees the last pirate burst out of the fog, smoke pouring out of him, his outline becoming blurry and indistinct. He is directly in front of Jean and running fast.
At the same moment, there is a large CRACK! followed shortly by two others. Rising out of the fog, all illusions shed, is the pirates' barrel. Within it, the body of the large homunculus is clear to everoyne in its form-fitting wooden armor. Three tentacles have broken tHrough the barrel, effectively turning the creature into a monstrous tripod.
(Jean and Perspicacious are up for their delayed actions!)
