Throwing in this character concept for your consideration.
Autolo Locust, a man of the streets. A conman, he will run any kind of scheme to earn a few extra coins. But he’s not heartless, he only takes what he feels his marks can afford to lose. Which means he targets the wealthy more than the poor.
He lives a double life though, a devoted brother and son, his family are unaware of his elicit activities. How much longer before it all comes to a point of no return?
If you are still looking for players, I am interested in playing a Forest Gnome Wizard with a Sage background who would select the Illusionist subclass.
New player here, willing to jump headfirst into the adventure! I'm not familiar with the technology (discord, etc., although I do have a discord account) but I'm willing to learn.
Name: Kyvir Thornsurge
Race: Lightfoot Halfling
Class: Rogue
Kyvir grew up in the city, becoming a street urchin when her parents died and the landlord threw her out. She survived using her wits and her dexterity, stealing food and picking pockets. She eventually made her way to a small village, where a kindly woman gave her a roof over her head, thin meals, and no questions. Kyvir continued to steal, this time from the estate of a local tyrant, who eventually noticed that things were missing. He took it out on the village, burning it to the ground. Kyvir escaped and returned to wandering and living by her wits.
I might be interested in participating with Etriel Darstrix ('Lady Dragon'), an elf (High Elf) Ranger who will evolve into a Ranger (Hunter)/Sorcerer (Draconic Sorcery).
Etriel, of noble birth, but, due to circumstances, raised alongside a Copper Dragon, upon rejoining her original community and family, finds herself too changed for that to be enough, and driven by her faith in Sehanine Moonbow, she chooses travel as her life's religion.
(Yes, I know, she's perhaps not the most typical spellcaster, but given her connection to Kraprum—the young Copper Dragon I mentioned—I couldn't resist submitting.)
Being the child of a human and a Fire Genasi (Taking WAY more of the Fire Genasi genes) isn't necessarily the best when working on your human mothers farm. Especially since your Genasi dad passed away when you were young, you never learned how to properly control your fire... that caused a lot of damage on the farm... so Teekia instead pursued the life of an adventurer, her strength from her farm work and her fiery personality made her a great barbarian. What happens from there and how she meets the rest of the party will depend on the dm and, in a way, the fellow party members.
House Leclair was once an ordinary aristocratic family of wizards. They often held positions at court, advising on magical matters and lending their knowledge when it suited the crown. Over time, their influence waned, and the family gradually fell into obscurity. By the time Aurore was born, the Leclairs were little more than a shadow of their former standing.
Aurore was meant to reverse that decline. A prodigy among wizards, she grasped magical theory and practice in ways no one else could. Everyone expected her to restore the family’s prestige. But during one of her experiments, something went terribly wrong. Her body was atomized in an instant, leaving nothing behind. By chance, her soul was caught in a nearby soul gem, keeping her trapped in a fragile, liminal state.
Lumian, her younger brother, never shared her genius. He was an ordinary scholar at best, with a modest grasp of magic. What he did have, however, was devotion to his sister. Believing that she could somehow be restored, he made a pact with an archduchess of Hell, becoming a warlock. Since then, he has pursued forbidden knowledge to find a way to bring her back.
Lumian is generally well-meaning but shaped by loss and the decay of his family. He is decadent, provocative, and enjoys flouting social norms. A womanizer and scoundrel, he thrives in moral gray areas, using charm, cunning, and the dark power he has bargained for to navigate a world that has already taken nearly everything from him.

I've been looking for a PbP game for ages. Most are either private or already long done with their recruitment. I hope I'm not too late this time.
