After watching the pool from a safe distance for several minutes, you suspect that there are two creatures swimming slowly beneath the surface. It is difficult to be sure, but they seem to be about the same size as the ice frogs. The steady drip, drip, drip of frigid water falling into the pools can be heard from all directions. A loud croak breaks the rhythmic dripping. The sound is deeper than those you first heard upon entering the cave complex. The sound echoes all around you, bouncing off of the uneven cave walls and ceiling, dotted with stalactites.

If it is dark enough and he is struggling with his dark vision, Torvil will stop and light a torch to help them move forward. ((OOC : Are we still at level 1? Just curious..))

*OoC: A torch fixes the issue of low light. This particular adventure is a mile-stone level up, however I did consider that the number of XP for the trail of bodies that you guys have left behind would most likely tip the scale. I'll look into the numbers this evening.***
When Torvil's torch sparks to life, you can tell that two ice frogs hide in the pool. One hides in shallow water near the bucket, the other lurks somewhere beyond the torch's reach in the murky water.

"There!" she excitedly states, her voice a low, shivering rasp. She doesn't point this time...she simply levels her weapon toward the water. "One by the bucket. The other is playing smart and staying in the dark. They're waiting for us to turn our backs."
Uh-oh.
"We don't have time to play games with pond life" she says, her teeth quietly clattering in the cold. "Torvil, keep that light steady. If they move, we end them fast. I’m not getting dragged into that water again!"
She begins to sidestep toward the southeast, keeping her front to the pool and her weapon ready to intercept a leaping strike.
Akira nods in agreement from Kitsune’s statement and can notice the movements in the water that was pointed out. She continues to walk low in the cave and focuses in on her foot movements taking extra caution to keep them quiet. Akira keeps her bow and arrow cocked and ready to go in case the ice frogs or any other creatures attempt to give them a bit of a surprise.
The party carefully works their way east, making sure to avoid the area near the frigid pool. Your group travels only a few feet around the large stalagmite
Ten empty bedrolls are arranged in a circle around a cold fire pit at the center of this cavern. Chicken bones, empty wine and spirits bottles, and other food waste litters the floor.

Torvil motions toward the ring of bedrolls. He says "I have an idea. I could use some rest. Let me go back and grab that bandit, we'll put him here where we can observe him and take a brief rest, wrap our wounds, and then keep exploring. Agree with that?" If he sees nods in the affirmative, Torvil walks back to the bandit and forces him to stand, walk with him. After they get back to the ring of bedrolls, he ties his feet as well, and then stuffs a gag in his mouth and puts the elf into one of the bedrolls, tucking it under him like he is a burrito. So that he is visible from someone approaching, but can be watched while they rest.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Kitsune doesn't need to be told twice. While the others begin the process of mending wounds and securing the bandit burrito, she focuses entirely on the one thing that has been her constant shadow since the bridge: the freezing, bone-deep dampness.
She stays on the perimeter of the circle, her back to the wall, but her eyes never leave the dark tunnels.
Kitsune moves with stiff, jerky motions as she pulls the shimmering silver cloak tight, trying to trap what little body heat she has left. She doesn't fully relax into a bedroll...instead, she stays in a low, ready crouch, wringing out the hem of her tunic.
"I’ll watch the tunnels" she says to the group, her voice a bit steadier now that she’s out of the wind. "Check the bottles. If any are unopened, we might need the liquid...or the glass. And see if there's any dry wood near that pit. If we're resting, I want to feel my toes again."
She struggles to keep her eyelids open, but attempts to listen for the clink of armor or the hiss of a ritual from elsewhere: Perception (5)
***Perception check for Torvil and Akira por favor. Vayne perception roll 16.***

While Torvil goes to grab the bandit, Akira walks over to two of the empty bedrolls and removes the blankets from them. She then walks over to Kitsune and removes her cloak from her shoulders and replaces it with both warm, dry blankets.
Akira starts to scan the area looking for dry wood and looks at the scattered bottles
As the group begins to move into the bandit's make-shift camp Akirapauses. She instinctively reaches out, to stop Torvil in his tracks before he goes any farther into the chamber.

You notice that the blanket on the bed at 9 o'clock (or west, dead west if ye prefer) is sagging a bit, not flat or a bit wadded up like the others.

OOC: As a Shadar Kai, Kitsune has darkvision as well. She also has torches (not sure why...part of the standard starting equipment I guess).
Last to know and first to be blamed...
As a free action, can I regret my life choices?
