Dahme'dre finishes her letter and moves the sheet aside. Then pulls another sheet out and prepares to start writing again, but stops and looks up at the pair. "So, I understand you are interested in taking the easy approach, is that correct?" She asks, "We are all prepared for violence, though I assure you it is not your easiest option, but you're in luck; we'd prefer to take diplomatic options anyway."
The gnome girl swings her legs, “Great! We’d really like to resolve this without any of you dying. We only were paid for one assassination after all. So, you wanted to talk, here we are.” The drow nods as well, “Of course, you understand that there are limitations to what we know and can do. I do hope that you won’t hold it against us.”

Wick pushes a thought forward. "Just a small request: Please don't tell the deadly assassins that I followed them to their secret base."
After a final chorus of 'The Wind that Shakes the Willow', Wick sits back to enjoy his beer in a moment of silence (hopefully an appreciative one that follows a little applause). "May I ask a personal question?" He asks after a bit. "Killing for hire. I've taken a life once before, and I can't say that I acquired a taste for it. Why- scratch that. How did you start?"
What does a silent little clap and takes a drink, “Leading with the big questions, huh? That’s a new one...” She sits in silence, “Started shortly after I found out what I was. Doppelgangers aren’t the most attentive parents, so they instill their children with an instinct that can reunite them after reaching maturity, like how fish can find their way back to breeding grounds. Dahme'dre makes at least some minimal effort not to laugh openly at the suggestion of any of her party dying in the match-up, though the faint sound of distant thunder may betray her annoyance, she instead addresses the issue at hand. "Yes, we do understand well that your knowledge may be limited. Now, our interest is not only in finding the true culprits, to clear our names, but also to locate the individuals truely responsible. To that end we are willing to forego any pursuit of you and your family, if that decision facilitates the capture of those who funded this... Escapade, to begin with." She adds the question, "So, are you interested in aiding us, or would you prefer to truly test your strength against us?" (Persuasion: (1)14)

Looking over them, you believe that the small one is Where, which would mean that the drow is Who. This creature, while at a disadvantage, does not seem fearful. Almost as if it’s been in this situation many times before. Where smiles once more, “Of course. A few weeks ago, I was contacted by our family’s patron amongst the fey, a powerful eladrin by the name of Azalf Blackwake, leader of the Court of Harvest’s Eve. While I may not agree with much of their ideology, they pay well. An anonymous benefactor had obtained a favor from Azalf, I haven’t the slightest idea how. Our contacts in this ‘agreement’ were a group of thugs named the Port Masons. They provided us with the ships and tools to get it done. Their leader, Reynaldo Terff was the one that handed off the coin. If you want to get to the bottom of this, then there’s only one place that you’re gonna do it: Everywhere. Everywhere. Dahme'dre considers the cryptic term. While it unsubtlely links to this group, Dahme'dre may have seen the term in her studies before. (History: (4)8)
"I presume Everywhere is a place, as Who is a person..." Dahme'dre says a bit tired of such nonsence. These people couldn't think up a single proper proper noun... "How does one reach this place?"
Where laughs, “It’s not just a place, missy. It’s the place. The central hub of the planar multiverse. I know that you aren’t from around here. If you think what you’ve seen so far is impressive, you haven’t seen anything yet. However, if you want to get there, you’re going to need a ship, or some kind of teleportation, but we both know that you don’t have that on hand.”
"Do I look impressed?" She does not. "Go on just the same."
Dahme'dre reaches across the room and grabs a tea pot and serving tray from the table with her spectral hand. She touches the kettle and steam emerges from the spout before Dahme'dre pours the liquid through an unnatural curve into one cup on her desk then floats the tray back in from of Where and Who.
Wick shakes his head. "I understand. Family has never been anything but a thorn in my thumb, but I understand."
He pauses and looks down at his lute.
"I've been traveling on my own for a long time, now. I've done alright playing the hand I was dealt." He looks at What, "But for reasons I can't fathom I've thrown in my pack with those three stiffs upstairs." He starts to strum once again at his lute. 'A Frog on the Ice'. Fitting, that one.
"We could use some help, What. I have no idea what they're talking about up there, but we- I- would be grateful for your company, wherever we go from here."
Performance (for his ongoing play- subtract 2 if it should be persuasion instead: 19
