The grouper groans loudly as he passes a fairly hefty wager to the aquatic elf, muttering, “Was gonna buy me a hamster with that...” Another triton looks at him, “Ain’t those a couple of copper?” The grouper scoffs, “Not the one I wanted...”

The elf, now content with his winnings, replies, “Little bit of everything you could say. Right now, we’re explorers. Couple of months ago, exterminators. Before then, pretty sure Gillagan was an ‘escort.’” The grouper mutters a curse toward the elf, still disgruntled about his lost hamster.

Alijurn snorts at the mention of buying a hamster. 

"All men crave different things I suppose... Exterminators? What exactly did you exterminate? Are we talking rats or monsters here?"

Alijurn tries to ignore the escort remark. Although the prostitution career always made his stomach churn.

Wick passes by the trio, still plunking away half-decently (and a quarter drunkenly) on his lute. "I'd be careful, gents, Master Ali here can get a little huffy about the whole," he looks dramatically from side to side and drops his voice to a stage whisper, "dragonborn thing."

Giving it up for a bad job, he begins to stow his lute. "Anyway, who cares about some boring old monsters they dispatched? Tell us more about this incredible hamster, friend!"

 Wick and Gillagan discuss the nature of the hamster. How it is a mighty, majestic creature. It has glittery blue fur, small wings, and a little tiny horn. No one has given him a firm price on it, but he’s been saving.

A shiver goes down Alijurns spine

"Demons? At least the devils have the courtesy of following  some form of law and order, but demons? Nothing worse. Good riddance!"

He starts heading outside. Looking for the others.

"Have a good break fellas. Or "your leave" if you're docked for a while. I trust I'll ser you at a later point"

 Thuluku replies, “Well, unfortunately, they live there. Not much we can do when an entire race of creatures are psychotic and bloodthirsty, and you’d actually be surprised, the reason for their obsession is their worship of their deity, Chemosh. According to what they’ve spouted, he’s some sort of giant shark with multiple arms that desires to rule the ocean unchallenged. That in mind, they believe that only the Sahaguin should live and go to great lengths to kill everyone who isn’t them or shark-related.” Thuluku spits, “As for my home plane, I’m from the Endless Sea. It is exactly what it sounds like, nothing but sea as far as one could imagine. So for someone who loves it like me, it’s a paradise.”

"It sounds like a wondrous place," Ashe comments as she absentmindedly pets Cupcake with the tip of her index finger, "I hope I might visit it one day. Of course, hopefully, I won't run into any of your shark-worshippers. It sounds a bit problematic to believe the sea belongs to you and only you... when the sea is the whole plane."

Thuluku puts a finger to where her nose would be, signaling ‘Bingo.’

In any case, is there anything else you all would like to do on the ship, in I’lar, or something else before we take off on the trip to Everywhere?

Ashe really wants the hat, damn the consequences. Fashion is fashion! She will try to find some pebbles and form 3 platinum coins to exchange for that hat, which she thinks was 25g. She uses a bit of alchemy to get the job done if it's possible in the first place. If all this can happen, she is going to go buy said hat.

Rules for Minor Alchemy:

Realizing that she cannot turn things into gold or platinum, Ashe instead hatched a plan. She purchased a beautifully-carved 1 foot tall, statue of a maiden for 5 gold and transmuted it to silver. She also purchased a duck statue for 10 silver, but that’s aside the point. She then found an antique shop and offered it for the low price of 30 gold. The owner was having none of that and said 25 was the highest he’d go. Ashe came back with 28. The owner stayed firm. Begrudgingly accepting, Ashe then ran off to Millie’s Magnificents to purchase the hat. Millie is happy to see the drow and exchanges the goods for the agreed upon 50 gp. Ashe has come out of this with one more crime added to her list, a duck statue, a 19 gold profit, and a nifty Hat of Wizardry in any color she would like.

Ashe rushes back to the ship and attunes like crazy.

(as long as we have a shot for sweet items, Wick could use a bardic instrument or wondrous item of some kind...)

As you make your way to Millie’s Magnificents, a certain building catches your eye. A small, humble storefront with a picture of several animals on the front...

7 gold later, Wick comes back with what appears to be a large, fluffy dog and several tins of dog food. What even is today...

Wick grins ear to ear as he bounds out of the pet store with his very best new friend:

Captain, the picardy shepherd! 

Wick calls after Ashe as she runs past, "Hey, nice hat!"

For the first and perhaps last time, Ashe gives Ellywick an actual, genuine smile. "Thank you, sir bard, ahuhu~"

 Alijurn walks around town looking for an enchanted shield or something of the like. 

Investigation? 3

Presumably, Ashe will notice Alijurn bumbling around while the going is still good. If she can, she will help him find what he wants since he is, after all, her meat shield.

Investigation: 18

You manage to find a simple magic shield at Millie’s Magnificents. She informs you that it is a “Shield of Expression.” Inscribed on the shield is a carved face. According to her, you can change the expression to anything that you please. She tells you that it is only slightly more expensive than the average shield, 15gp. You also find another shield with an eye on it. It is evidently called a “Sentinel Shield,” which allows the user to perceive dangers with sharper sense. Because it is a fairly useful enchantment, it is 100gp.
