 Ah! Didn’t see this. I’ll allow it. You find an Arrow-Catching Shield! While it is much more expensive, at 200gp, Millie is willing to drop it down to 125 because you guys have bought some items already, package deal and all that.

(Wick, meanwhile, is pulling at Captain's collar in vain as the dumb mutt attempts to terrorize a pet cat.)

Dahme'dre is interested in getting off the ground, but she works her charm on lovely Millie, trying to land an even better deal for her allies. "With such valuable clients as us, you'll reap greater rewards when we return." (Persuasion: (2)19)

Millie wrinkles her nose a bit, “While I really do appreciate you guys buying some products, I can’t drop the price any lower. That being said, I like you guys. So, as a show of good faith, 110. How’s that? I’m literally breaking even on that. Fair?”

 "Excelent!" Dahme'dre replies, "When we return we will come bearing a wealth of petty cash to spend." she says with a wink.

Dahme'dre sends Mondra'Goran ahead to insure they aren't drawing unwanted attention, and heads out the door. "Finish up quickly. We've got a schedule to keep" she calls to the others as she heads off for The Scyla

As you do, something odd happens. Mondra flies out the door, and then vanishes from your senses. Huh.

Dahme'dre stop and dismisses Mondra'Goran to his private sanctum, then summons him again within her reach. What was that? she asks.

Mon pops back to you. Are you asking him?

Alijurn gives a scratch behind one of the horned protrusions  on his head. "I am sorry Madam, but I seem to be at a lack of the necessary funds as of now. You wouldn't be interested in buying a crossbow and a bundle of bolts? My beliefs can keep me just as safe as weaponry if need be." He presents a light crossbow and a bundle of 20 bolts.

Millie walks over to you, barely coming up to your thigh, “Maybe. Mind if I see it?” Assuming you pass it to her, Millie looks it over, sniffs it, and hands it back, “Nah. If it were magic, we could talk, but this thing isn’t really my style. However~” Millie walks behind the counter and pulls out a small signs that reads ‘Millie’s Luxurious Layaway, Buy Now/Pay Later.’ She gestures toward the sign, “Tada~! I’m sure we could work out some sort of payment plan.”

 Millie smiles a toothy grin, “Simple! You can make payments each month to pay it off whenever you like. If you don’t have the gold to pay, then you can delay the payment with a favor. That’s it. No interest or anything like that to worry about. Interested?”

"You appear to be a reasonable businesswoman. I would like the arrow-catching one. 30 gold up front and I'll pay the rest when I get the chance, is that okay with you?" He stretches out his hand, offering to shake hers. 

The absurdity of a little elf child and a dragonman talking business deals hangs in the air. However, she shakes your hand, “Deal, but you should know that there is an upfront favor for good faith. Also, I’ll need you to sign a few things.”

"I suppose that might be a fair deal. However, I think i should get to know what this "favor" is before signing anything." He nods approvingly. "And of course. I have to read the documents before signing them." 

Millie leaves to grab some papers. She informs you that she’ll need your handprint and signature on the papers. After you’ve read them thoroughly, you determine two things. The first is that these are very complicated documents, she has no doubt been perfecting these for a while. The second is under the terms of the contract, you will be granted the shield under the obligation that you must fully pay off the price of the item. If at any point you cannot or do not pay a monthly contribution to the purchase, you will owe Millie a ‘favor’ to use at her discretion. That favor need not be used at the time of obtainment and may be called upon any point thereafter. If you should deny the redemption of said favor, you will be magically compelled to complete the favor as agreed upon in this contract. A favor cannot force you to commit harm to yourself or any third party. A favor must be within scale of completion by the signer. A favor need not be completed by the signer at the time of redemption or on any specific timeframe unless designated by the redeemer. If the signer attempts to act counter to the completion of the favor, the signer will incur an additional 10% charge to the current price of the item in question and will be magically compelled otherwise. All items under the patented and trademarked ‘Millie’s Luxurious Layaway’ service, are official products of Millie’s Magnificents and are unfit for resale until the original signer has purchased said product.
