"If you are talking about caramel, it's an old family recipe that was passed down through the ages from a time long lost. I have the recipe in my office, but its buried under piles of papers and hobnobs. I make the stuff by memory now. can't even recall the measurements, I just know."
"Hobnobs?" Karriz questions. "Aren't they some kind of goblinoid?" He carefully reaches for the next caramel cube while talking. "I know what necromancy is, I used to work with stiffs and shamblers." He then stuffs the cube into his mouth.
"I am too use to my ways to start changing, I can't approve of necromancy but I will be tolerant of it. I can't judge your lives, only the actions I see so far you have been polite and patient. That's enough for me. Karriz, slow down you will choke if you keep eating so fast." Sighs and sips his drink, he really was trying very hard to be polite but necromancy always made him fidget.
"Huh? Wha wuh wah?" Karriz says between bites. He stops for a moment, swallowing the piece. "Oh right. You want a piece? Wait, no. You don't want any, you already said that." Karriz scratches the back of his neck and then pulls out a couple of silver pieces. "Do you have any of that wine stuff? I'd really like to try that today, too."
"Wine stuff? I might have some wine in my office if I can remember where I put it. The story behind it is actually quite a funny one. But it has been a while since anyone asked for it."
"I understand Kol, where I'm from magic in general makes people fidgety. I've learned that trying to change someone would only bring problems. Thank you for at least trying to understand." Dravius turns his attention toward Karriz. "I suggest some bread with any alcohol, helps keep you sharper for longer."
"Oh, that's fine." Karriz says to the barkeep. "I was just wondering. Heard it's different from ale." The tiefling then reaches into his dusty robe and pulls out a dart, using it to pick at the little bits of dirt beneath his sharp finger nails.
Karriz watches the barkeep wander off. "But I said it was okay..." He mumbles. He looks to the half-empty tankard of ale in front of him. "I should probably finish this so it doesn't mix with the wine stuff."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Karriz proceeds to attempt to down the remainder of his ale in one go.
Constitution Saving Throw:18
The tiefling gasps a little for air afterwards, but seems to be unaffected by the chugging of the potent dwarven ale. He looks to Dravius with a toothy grin.
"So, here's that wine. It's actually Iberian. I got it from a fellow calling himself a Skandian. No clue where that's from, but I spent two weeks after their little 'raiding party' left fixing this place up. they destroyed everything. But anyway, please don't break this, its called a glass, and it came with the wine." The wine bottle the dwarf is carrying inside of a sort of rope net, protecting the bottle from damage. It has a small cork in its top, and a bottle sitting on top of the said cork.
"I happen to have some coin left over from when I helped a group of mages in some experiments." Dravius says placing 10 gold on the table. "I hope you find that this covers it a bit and do offer that you stay and drink with us. After all, it wouldn't be right for us to leave another out from drinking and sharing stories."
"Thank you for the invitation, I'm sure that Hemono or Nemo can cover for a little bit." The dwarf pulls up a stool and turns to Dravius. "so what is this story about mages and experiments?"

"Nothing to do with goblins. Sorry, wrong word to use. More like bunches of items I collected over the years."

Dravius gives a grin. "Probably for the best. Just take your time. No reason to down all of it in one go."

"Well that looks fancy." Karriz says, looking to the bottle. "...I-is it expensive?"
"I have not a clue, it was given to me as a trade for food and a place to stay for a few days. But that was a few years ago."
Karriz watches the wine get poured into the tumbler. "But... I need to pay for it." He says, somewhat mesmerised at the glistening colour.
"I happen to have some coin left over from when I helped a group of mages in some experiments." Dravius says placing 10 gold on the table. "What? No, I have money." Karriz says. "Argh, buying things is confusing." He digs his pointy nails into his scalp amidst the shaggy dark hair.
"It's ok, Karriz." Dravius says with a sympathetic smile. "You let me join you in the drinking and merriment so let me do this as a thank you."
"Thank you for the invitation, I'm sure that Hemono or Nemo can cover for a little bit." The dwarf pulls up a stool and turns to Dravius. "so what is this story about mages and experiments?"
