"Well, we could go back to our original 'Prince Kinnik' plan, seein' as Daela wasn't around last night to watch it go to shit. Whatever we do we oughta start makin our way over there quick, if he's teachin an early class he might already be up and gettin' ready to go to work."
A woman walks downstairs silently. She is dressed head to toe in the tattered grey robes of a pauper nun of the sovereign host. A cap and veil cover her features entirely. She approaches the party, then briefly lowers the veil just enough to reveal Kinnik's dark avian features. He considers his companions, winks a bright blue eye, and heads for the door.
"Let's go," he says in the deep voice of an orc huntress.
Olen stops in his tracks, a new idea springing to mind.
"Guys, I got an idea how we could approach this."
Olen excitedly lays out his idea.
"We could play it, that we are mercenaries, hired to hunt down a particular individual, for a client who wishes to remain anonymous."
"We say, we tracked some known associates of our target, to the university last night."
"When we confronted them, after finding they had broken into the professors office, they attacked us and demanded the map of the schema."
"So then, we would claim to not know what a schema is, and would ask the professor if he could give us any info that could help track down our quarry."
Olen looks between his friends
"What do you guys think?"
"If we go with this idea, I can quickly do up some basic documents to help sell the cover. Maybe a contract for the job and a sketch of the target."
Olen starts wandering off to his room, absorbed in his plan, not realising his friends didn't even get a chance to reply.
"Nothing to long or formal, not like the stuff Kasper does, just quick and dirty...."
Vasha melts into a chair, apparently more exhausted than she appeared at first, and flops her head into her arms on the table. At Shroud's plan, she simply gives a thumbs-up and grunts.

Olen heads up to his room and gets out his Forgery Kit and Calligrapher's Supplies, and quickly (30min or so) puts together a document with the basic info of the contract to find and detain one, Petrov Klekovic. The document will claim he is a Tiefling with ties to criminal elements of Sharn, and will have a rough sketch of his face and horns for ID when found.

You all manage to scrape together enough sovereigns to take a skycoach up to Northridge. Once you arrive, you find yourself in a painfully first neighborhood. You walk around towers, across bridges, until you cross the Crystal Bridge in the south toward Daela's home.
Within minutes, you find yourself standing by his front door. When you knock, a tall warforged greets you. They have a circular ghulra sigil on their forehead. They are also wearing fine clothing and a golden bracelet. If it weren't for Cap, you'd be shocked since most warforged don't wear clothing.
"Good morning, this is the Daela residence. How may I assist you?" They ask you dryly.
(Whenever you wanna do prep work, like buying stuff, asking questions/researching, just initiate a flashback and explain how you are preparing and roll anything relevant. For example, you could say you wanted to find out if Daela lived alone, so make a flashback of asking around and roll investigation. Sound simple? Please keep your flashbacks in all italics so we can keep them separate from the present.)

"Hi, the name's Steeljaw, Jack Steeljaw. I was hoping to talk to a, Professor Garthen Daela."
Standing before the Warforged, is an old weathered human mercenary. One of his eyes is green but the other is milky white, a scare runs up his cheek, but stops just before the eye. The scare continues above the eye, up his forehead, disappearing into his hairline. The shock of white hair that runs through his salt and pepper black hair, suggests the scare continues on over his head.
He looks almost bored as he reads the Professors name from his business card.
"We are currently contracted to hunt down one, Petrov Klekovic, and we tracked some of his known associates to the university last night."
As he is saying this Jack holds up his contract document with a sketch of Petrov on it, and gestures back to his friends to indicate who 'we' is.
"Our quarry broke into an office and were ransacking the place. We confronted then, asking where Petrov was, and they attacked us."
"They demanded we give them a map to a, 'schema'? I think they may have mistaken us for someone else."
"We had almost defeated them, and were going to start questioning the survivors, when one of them reached out with a dagger and killed his own associate and then himself."
"You can imagine this has set us back in our task. I grabbed this business card from the office they had been ransacking, hoping that whoever's office it was, may be able to help us."
Jack looks tired, like he just wants this over so he can get back to drinking in some dive bar in the lower wards .
------------------ FLASH BACK ------------------
As the group approaches the professors home, Olen stops everyone.
"Ok so we are professional mercenaries, right? We want to look tough, but non-threatening, got it? We don't want them thinking we are there to hurt them or anything."
As Olen is talking he transforms his appearance to that of an old mercenary, with a long scare up one cheek.
"Right, I'm Jack Steeljaw, and you lot, are my associates. I suggest you don't use your real names, so if you all want to share what cover names you would like to use, do it now."
"Coprincus Glacierblood. But you can call me Frosty." Copper says in a dramatic voice. he seems pretty happy with this plan, grinning as they make their way across town.
Once at Daela's residence, Copper will stand close behind Jack, brooding and running a clawed finger against the shaft of his axe.

Kinnik, seems like the coast is clear. All you see are the usual rich folks meandering around. You do, however, receive 2 sovereigns from a passing mother with a babe swaddled and slung around her chest. "Bless you," she smiles as she walks past.

"So you were involved in the scuffle last night. Interesting," the warforged looks over you all, trying to discern something about you. "Why didn't you let the MU guards know of your presence? They told Professor Daela about the three dead bodies, but there seemed to be no signs as to why a fight had occurred."

Jack sighs, rubbing the bridge of his noise. Turning to Vasha he say,
"It's ok Venesa, we didn't start the attack, and we didn't end the attack either for that matter. We will be in the clear on this one."
Turning back to the warforged, Jack answers his question with another sigh,
"Our employer, who wishes to remain anonymous, has placed a tight schedule on this contract. If we don't deliver Petrov in...we only 2 days now. If don't deliver him in 2 days we get nothing."
"We cant afford to get tangled up in bureaucratic nonsense right now. We grabbed our wounded and headed out to get them seen too."
Jack is starting to look frustrated, and looks to be holding back some anger.
"Look, if you cant help us, can you say so now? We are looking at starting from scratch right now, and if the professor cant help us, we need to get moving."
"The guards didn't do anything to help anyway. We work better if we're flying under the radar, and like Jack here said we're on a tight schedule. Now for some reason, our target is after Daela. We took care of his goons, but as long as Petrov is still out there, Daela is in danger. It's really in your best interest to help us." he says trying to sound stern and practical.
"Jack, don't be so dramatic. They said we have 3 days, not 2." Vasha/Vanessa tries to seem partly coy, and partly innocent.

Olen comes down, fresh and ready for breakfast.
"So, we going to take our second stab at getting the information we need?"
"Anyone have any ideas how we should go about gaining access to the good professors home?"
"I have some climbing gear, if we have to do any second story work to gain access."
"Although we could also try gaining entry through social engineering, if the opportunity presents itself."
Olen shifts form into the professors niece and then back to Olen again.
"What do you think? Any other good ideas? Or should we go and case the home for more information before we make any further plans?"
