Some DMs let everyone else know when the selections have been made, some don't. But since 3 people haven't gotten notice, I'd say odds are selections have not been made yet.
I peeked at the DM's profile, said they haven't been on in 3 days. Good indication no selection has been made yet.

Character name: Yridin
Gender: Male
Race: Aasimar
Class: Sorcerer (( one day hoping for Divine Soul ! ))
Background: Yridin is what some might call a 'far traveller'. He lived and trained far from his current location. One day, his mentor / master called him and revealed a scrying had shown Yridin in a different land, being a part of helping others save a deity. With that minimal of forewarning or information, Yridin soon found himself on the road heading into unfamiliar lands, peoples, and languages.
A minimum of pocket coin to pull from, many nights were spent camping along the road or nestled in a shed of hay rather than living large in taverns and hostels. Though, Yridin did use a coin for a secure room and a hot bath and meal as he neared a large city. He was still not certain where 'the final destination' was - he wanted to clean up and get a full rest. It took no time at all for Yridin to go into deep sleep... and had dreams which he could not say were idle creations or divine guidance -- when he popped awake to a sunny morning. Gathering his belongings, he went down to the main tavern floor and came to a sudden halt. This was not the tavern he had been at last night. The layout was different and the room itself was not the same. Somehow, while he slept, he had been transported to this new tavern.

Have the selected players been chosen yet?
Don’t think so. OP hasn’t been online lately, and I didn’t get a PM, and I’m assuming from your reaction you didn’t get one either.

Pretty confident?

End the background with you getting transported to a tavern that cannot be accessed normally.
