With a look of sadness in her eyes "Well we were able to clear out the creature ailing the city... but the child... he didn't make it. We couldn't help it I promise, he seemed to be possessed. I'm so sorry, I've let you and my master down."

Ryu picks up the wooden mask. He hands it to Danica who is eyeing it off, curiously.

”I never thought I would see this relic in my very hands. It’s best it is kept safe.” he says, handing it to Dani. Ryu sits with the list for a while and looks as if he was recalling memories as he went through it. Finally, before you head back to the village, he calls you around and goes through it with you.

Each item is known through either fairytale or folklore. Ryu explains that most people don’t think that magical items exist in this world, so any time you hear a folk tale, or a fantastical story- it’s a good indication that something magical is behind it.

 “It is plausable that while you have been seeking some of these artifacts- that has allowed Aerik to also persue others. There’s no telling how many he has retrieved. Possibly the same amount as you. The way I see it, the more you get- the less powerful he becomes.“

As they are walking back to town, Yasei queries Cora about the new dagger she collected.  "Do you know what it is, and what it does? It appears to have some extra ability to poison those it comes in contact with."  (History: 7)

"I propose to find this 'Rolog’s Band of Power' next. Ryu, these reports of seismic activity originating from an old Wizard tower close to here, do you know which way the tower is?"

I know we don't know the area too well but is there any we would know are closer than others?

"Guys don't we still have to kill some spiders for passage through the forest? We made a deal."

Ryu hands you a Map of the surrounding area:

“The tower is not too far from here, immediatley north. Look for a tall spire made from white stone.” 

Yasei- you remember the story about the spider sting dagger- made by a trapped adventurer as his final stand against the huntress.

-Back to Torgus in the village-

“I see. Well, this is a mixed bag of news. I suppose there is not much point in telling the mother about what her som became- but... perhaps she has a right to know. Thankyou for allowing is to return to our village!” He holds up a finger as if he just remembered something “Oh!”

he opens the door to his chamber aroujd the back and gliding out, healthy as a horse is Watatsumi! “Shreeeiiiiiiii!!” She sings happily. She has also... changed colour? The once red little dragon is now orange! [Merlin this means you can cast colour spray and roll her hit die for more hp and bump one of her stats by 2 points]

Torgus also holds a long box. He gives this box to Rosli and says “Warobi left you this. He said it carries great responsibility and will set you on the toughest journey of your life.” Inside is a long, white headband with the number ‘10’ written on the front.

OOC: I love your maps btw, very aesthetically pleasing. 

Has Rosli seen this headband before? or does she know the significance?

Rosli will immediately put it on almost like she's possessed "I KNEW HE WAS STILL ALIVE!" After a few minutes of wearing the headband, bouncing around with it on her "So when do we wanna leave? Should we kill the spiders like we promised? Are we going to stay the night and celebrate?"

It's a long, tattered headband which looks like it's seen a lot of combat, but is somehow still held together. The ends blow and swirl as if there's an invisible wind making them dance. You feel as though you shouldn't take this challenge lightly, but as soon as you put it on, you simultaneously understand the challenge to obtain the #1 headband.

You've not heard of this before but... The others in the group recognise it. The last time they saw this headband was on Bobo before she disappeared.

Cora sighs. "Fine." She says, "Lets go kill spiders. And then we search for another relic. The less powerful Aerik is, the easier it's gonna be for my fist to rearrange his face."

So we've found one of the items on the list? The dagger. Is the mask on the list? I don't see it. Oh there it is, nevermind lol.

Danica nodded. "Shame the decanter's cursed, though. A true Decanter of Endless Water would help our druids in their efforts to reclaim the desert." She said idly.

OOC: I’ll post later today....I’m trying to figure out how to properly track Watatsumi in Beyond. I can’t figure out how to level him up, change his stats, etc. Any suggestions?

Put it in the notes on your character sheet, and modify it manually.

[Just to confirm, are we headed back to the spider's hollow or north to Riktor's floating Fortress?]

Also, you can "add beasts' on your character sheet, that might work. Otherwise, in ur notes, just jot down under the stat block the current HP and +1 to whatever stat =)

OOC: I figured it out. I created a homebrew monster based exactly off the baseline Faerie Dragon, and manually upped him one level by bumping his CON up +2 and increasing his hit points.  You can attach monsters to your character via the "Creatures" feature, which is what I did previously.  Now, I'm just attaching my homebrew monster to reflect Watatsumi.  Cool!

Yasei squeals with delight upon seeing the fully healed (and new and improved!) Watatsumi, and then quickly composes herself back to her normal, stoic princess self.  Mumbling "I humbly apologize for my outburst..." to the gathered group, she can't help but crack a smile as Watatsumi flies spirals around the room and then lands on Yasei's shoulder.  Bowing deeply to Torgus, she spills out in excitement "THANK YOU, Torgus-san, for healing my friend!"

Turning to Rosli, she nods agreement: "Hai!  Your proposal to continue on with spider extermination has wise merit.  Lead on, little one!"

Torgus thanks you all for your help. He says "It's not much-needed but please, have this relic from my father as thanks. He would have appreciated your bravery as much as I." He hands you over a pendant made from a clerical rune. '''Torston's [magic items]periapt of wound closure[/magicitem] "

Rosli will give him a big hug and take the periapt "Thank you for you help!"

"So, I assume we rest up to heal, make a plan and then go forth?"

Yasei: "Aye, Lady Danica-san."

And then, turning to address Torgus, "From time to time, the warrior must recharge and replenish. Take a breath. Go somewhere quiet. Get silent. Power up for the meetings, battles, treks, and wisdom circles. A warrior's heart is only as full as her spirit is quiet. Master Torgus, is there a place my adventurers and I could go for a rest?"
