Flins apparently was so stealthy that the group didn’t notice that he had left until they got to the bandit camp. There are about fifteen bandits lounging about a campfire, doing normal resting stuff (eating, drinking, sleeping, sharpening weapons, gambling, etc.). The firelight falls upon a few carts and some horses; one cart in particular has Joe’s blue insignia on it. Off to one side are a couple of tents, and silhouettes reveal three figures inside, probably talking. You don’t see them yet, but you suspect that some number of bandits are hidden and on guard. No-one seems to have heard your approach.

The clearing is easily 60 feet across. You can certainly nail people with the boomerang but you might not get it back while in the tree line. The nearest combatants are probably 20 feet away, also on the trees (there are probably 6 sentries, who will get a surprise round)
