Azrael has intentions to construct a place of worship down in the (basement?). In addition to this, Azrael and FC have expressed interest in re-opening the Manor to once again function as a tavern to generate income. If all of you are OK with any of these ventures, it will involve money, NPC interactions, and a bit of a procedure. Since no one has expressed disagreement yet, I will update the adventure as to what specifically what would need to be done over the next few days. Lif is more than happy to help you all with your intentions, and makes sure you are all fed and taken care of. He's one hard working poltergeist.
After I make the post about what it would take to start a temple downstairs, and what it would take to reopen the tavern, I will move the adventure forward.
Pheral will try to discreetly give Dani some help as she will notice a bit of her frustration.
let me tell you about my home town. We had this small public theater group that put on a lot of shows. My favorite was this one about a talking land seahorse names Mr Fredd. Now Mr Fredd looked like a regular seahorse except bigger and with more legs. Childhood memories are wires arnt they. Anyways Mr Fredd was very sarcastic and liked to hide out in places and do things. It was a fun show they put on.

CHAPTER TWO - TROLLSKULL ALLEY INTERLUDE - TROLLSKULL TAVERN OPEN FOR BUSINESS?!
OPENING THE TAVERN
As you spend a day or two doing your mission for your new guild, word spreads that Azrael and FC want to fix up and reopen the tavern in Trollskull Alley. Naturally, the next day brought visits from various guilds knocking at the door. Truth be told, without guild support, the business is likely to fail. Repairs to the walls and the roof require the approval and oversight of the Carpenters’, Roofers’, and Plaisterers’ Guild. The Cellarers’ and Plumbers’ Guild is best equipped to handle the refurbishing of the basement and plumbing. Clean bedsheets are provided by the Launderers’ Guild. The streets around the establishment are kept up by the Dungsweepers’ Guild and the Loyal Order of Street Laborers. Meat must come from the Guild of Butchers; ale and wine from the Vintners’, Distillers’, and Brewers’ Guild; and bread and pastries from the Bakers’ Guild. The list goes on. These are all things to consider, and each Guild has something to offer.
KEEP IN MIND: A guild is different than a faction. They are two separate things. Guild membership offers many perks. Some of them include vendors to acquire goods, advice, marketing, legal advice, and hirelings. It's also a great way to keep things legal and your assets protected.
Broxley Fairkettle of the Fellowship of Innkeepers was your first visit in the morning. He is a laid-back, law-abiding halfling with mutton chops and bushy eyebrows. Inns and taverns are few and far between in the North Ward, so he offers to make frequent visits to your tavern to see how it’s doing and to offer his well-wishes. He strongly urges them to join “to avoid further harassment.” The cost of membership in the Fellowship of Innkeepers is 250gp for initial membership setup, plus 10gp per week. Broxley has long believed the tavern to be haunted and is glad to see living souls in it once more. While lamenting the burdens of being a father of nine, he is quick to point out that the characters’ continued compliance with guild rules and regulations makes his rather difficult life “just a bitty bit easier.”
Hammond Kraddoc of the Vintners’, Distillers’, and Brewers’ Guild was your next visit. Hammond doesn’t like adventurers, but he likes their coin. This effete, well-dressed man is always seen in the company of a young scribe, Jinny, who wears spectacles and silently records notes and conversations in a small book as Hammond speaks. If you join the guild, Hammond commits to stop by in the middle of each month to inform you guys of new spirits that the guild has to offer, and to give them a list of which ones to push hard. The cost to join the guild is 250gp for initial membership setup, plus 10gp per week.
Justyn Rassk of the Guild of Butchers was next. Dead-eyed, slack-jawed Justyn grew up in the toughest neighborhood in the Field Ward and has the scars to prove it. The guild doesn’t pay him enough for him to afford a residence in the North Ward, and going to that part of the city fills his heart with resentment. If you join the guild, he commits to darken the Tavern's doorstep once a month in delivery of a cartload of chopped meat for the Tavern’s larder. Although delivery fees are covered by the guild’s monthly dues, Justyn implies he liked to be tipped some extra coin for his service. The cost to join the guild is 250gp for initial membership setup, plus 10gp per week.
Finally, Ulkoria Stonemarrow of the Watchful Order of Magists and Protectors was your last visit. Ulkoria is a female dwarf that has defended Waterdeep with her magic more times than she can recall. She’s known as “the Gargoyle” because her face is frozen in a scowl that frightens adults and children alike. No one knows where she lives, but it’s believed to be underground, possibly a cellar or dungeon under one of the city’s oldest estates. Kinda creepy. She reveals a little known fact about her: she once owned your tavern in Trollskull Alley. She sold it to a family of shield dwarves, who fell on hard times and sold it to a woman who made it into an orphanage. “Turned out to be a hag who was cooking and eating the children,” Ulkoria recalls. The estate passed through several more hands in the years that followed. Ulkoria hopes you all will make something good of it. The cost to join the guild is 250gp for initial membership setup, plus 10gp per week. The characters can hire her to cast glyphs of warding on the place, for which she charges 300 gp apiece.
PROFIT AND LOSS
It will cost you guys about 1000gp and 12 days to completely renovate the Manor to be ready for opening day. It costs 50gp per week to just maintain the business. It costs 250gp each to join the guilds initially, and 10gp per week after. It's highly recommended. The guilds have a wealth of knowledge and supplies.
Here is how you make a profit. Someone rolls d100 and adds the amount of days between rolls. You can make a roll everyday, or you can wait a month. The longer you wait, the higher chance there is to make a profit. For example, you could roll daily and hopes you get lucky, or wait a month and add +30 to your d100 roll. There's no rules on how little or how long you wait, but the profil table is down below.
d100 + Days
Result
01–20
You must pay one and a half times the business’s maintenance cost for each of the days.
21–30
You must pay the business’s full maintenance cost for each of the days.
31–40
You must pay half the business’s maintenance cost for each of the days. Profits cover the other half.
41–60
The business covers its own maintenance cost for each of the days.
61–80
The business covers its own maintenance cost for each of the days. It earns a profit of 1d6 × 5 gp.
81–90
The business covers its own maintenance cost for each of the days. It earns a profit of 2d8 × 5 gp.
91 or higher
The business covers its own maintenance cost for each of the days. It earns a profit of 3d10 × 5 gp.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Azrael would chuckle at Lythrils comments, saying We're far from ready to even attempt it. But there's no point in waiting on getting the basics started. Apparently just gettign started if we want a fair chance, is going to cost us around 1500 to 1750 gold. And we should probably start with 3000 minimum, just as backup.
With that, Azrael would perform his morning prayers in the taproom, in much the same fashion he always did. Religious intensity: 15
He didn't have much to say today to Bahamut, other than to thank him for his providence thusfar.
Once his prayers were done, he would speak to Lif, saying We eventually seek to make this floor a bar, as I'm fairly sure no one else wishes to offer beds to the customers, as a full tavern would as that would put them in your private spaces.. he says to the others But, How would you feel about this? Could you handle it alone, or would you need help? Since you seem to uh.. 'magick' things into existence as far as we can tell, we're not really sure how this workload would be on you. Please tell us everything that might be pertinent. As we don't want you to feel as though you are being used, rather. that you are as much a member of this place as us.
Leon came back pleased from his little escapade, a small smile on his face when he entered through the doors of their new home base... that was getting renovations?
"What are you all doing?" He questions to no one in particular. Once filled in on what FC and Azrael had planned, he seemed a bit apprehensive at first, but then he had to agree that maybe having a business on the side would do them some good, and an extra little coin never hurt anyone. The thing that he realized would be the most difficult would be getting the coin to even start the said business as the guilds that passed by were quite... pricey. Lif could only do so much, and the blond assumed not everyone would be okay with a poltergeist making them food and serving drinks.
So he offered to aid Lif if they got the business going as he considered himself a decent cook in the kitchen, he could help however he could until they were able to get enough money for the Butcher's guild. For now he helped in the effort of building and cleaning the place, putting his hair into a bun and getting to work straight away after changing out of his combat clothes to a simple loose fitting top and trousers.
If he got sweaty enough, he would take off his shirt (his muscles glistening with perspiration).

I think establishing a tavern is a good idea. We just have to set it as a future goal. Nothing wrong with that.
NO. WE are not robbing anybody. Oh wait, unless they are evil *****es, those we can rob.
