Setting the rolls aside for a moment, can you clarify ... what is it Manny is trying to accomplish?
1) put a skill roll to what you said about knowing where we are and how to get to the docks(??). I assume the skill roll nature is all about timing. Timing of the variables (current/wind/speed/etc.)
Survival would be the actual loading of the gear and what is left behind for subsequent trips by shipping company.
2) we have to row, so what my part of rowing would be.
I am happy for you to stay on, but you do not have to if you are not enjoying the game.
I am happy and I like this. You said it was too much, so maybe bs was the wrong word for the correct intent. You wanted me to get rid of flowery words and give you the straight/basic stuff in the OOC thread.
@JSenecal, You may select another prepared spell for Harknail.
For a paladin, Divine Smite is always prepared and does not count against the number of spells they may prepare.
I had noticed that at second level Divine Smite became an always know spell, and swapped it for Aid. But I had missed that I got a third spell slot. So going with Shield of Faith.
@BossOtron3000, I’d like to keep the game actions to one thing at a time, please. (Was able to edit in hyperlink!)
@All, Also, keeping with the rhythm of play (my flight had WiFi! Was able to include the hyperlink), I’d like it if the posts were focused on what the character was doing / trying to accomplish. Then, if a roll of some sort is needed, I’ll call for it.
I don’t mind if folks add in obvious rolls. Like, if you declare that the character is trying to hide, feel free to include a Dex (stealth) roll with the post. It has been my experience, however, that folks sometimes lead with the roll and haven’t really sorted out just what they were trying to do. It sort of puts the cart before the horse, and many (like 90%) of these rolls are unneeded / end up being ignored.

Cutting through the BS Role play.

Also, rowing isn't needed. Harknail could walk along the bottom and tow the rowboat with a rope. Which will be handy if the oars got lost...

Two of them, yes. The rest escaped. Crude spears and shields. Some worthless tribal trinkets.
