Yuki pauses, "If something wrong was sent up, wouldn't it be at the top?"

Manny mumbles, "Ahh Yep"
"Maybe we should still look through the crates and barrels to see if there is sonething useful, or otherwise interesting," Daisy suggests.
"You do that, I'll head up." Yuki starts to go up again.

Manny looks around figures the base area is good, and follows Yuki in case the winch needs 2 to manhandle the party getting lifted upwards. In addition, one on guard and one manning the winch might be a good idea as well.
Harknail isn't interested in the supplies and wouldn't have much idea what to look for anyway, so he also heads up the stairs.
Perhaps they could bring Daisy and some of the supplies up with the winch.

Daisy took a look at the supplies. They were mostly the type of thing one would need if they were planning on being left alone on an island for a week. Casks of water, foodstuffs, flasks of lamp oil and the like. Some of the food had already spoiled. [Wis (perception), fail]
Manny took a moment to examine the lift platform and the mechanism that operated it. The platform looked sturdy enough ... but whether or not it could support a passenger as large as Harknail ... he could not be certain. [Int (investigation), fail]
Corwin hung back toward the rear as the others advanced.
Harknail will continue following Yuki up the stairs.
(OOC: Looks like we're splitting the party... 😥)

Manny also has init 21.
Manny stops, then asks, "should I stay back? Or do we want most of us walking up?"
"Maybe we should all go forward. It's not a very good idea to split up if the lizardfolk are around and our job is to protect Corwin," Daisy answers Manny.
She then turns her gaze to Corwin. "Unless you wish to stay behind?"
Daisy initiative 20.
Corwin gulped and looked around at the base of the Smuggler's Stairs.
"I'd rather follow along." He said, not wanting to be left behind. "If trouble is afoot, I want to be near the people with swords."
The decision made, the heroes start to ascend the stairs.
The clattering of stones above caught the heroes' attention.
Movement at the top of the stairs!
"You should not have come to this place." An orcish voice called out. "Now you will die here."
Far above, a pair of orcs and a horned tielfling.
Yuki recognizes this trio from the Wailing Wave where they listened in on her plans.
Unlike the previous encounter (which began when you guys were not expecting trouble), you may begin this encounter with weapons drawn and shields donned if you want.
@Harknail, @Manny, @Daisy ... you may declare actions. Also, since Manny and Harknail tied for initiative, you guys get to decide who goes first between the two of you.
At a Glance.
The cliff is about 120' from top to bottom. The walls may be climbed. There is a rope crane mechanism as well (platform currently lowered), the ropes of which may be climbed.
