SvA's Lighthouse Adventure [IC]

Daisy, Harknail, & Yuki

Yuki arrived at the edge of the gathering just as Daisy made her suggestion.

The Harbormaster introduced himself as Corwin, and spent a moment regarding the heroes in front of him.  

"The beacon needs to be relit, or at the very least we need to know if anything has happened to the lighthouse keeper, Edrick."  He paused.  "And if there truly are lizardfolk roaming the shoals, anyone we send will need protection."

He looked back to the group.

"I can offer ... say ... thirty gold pieces.  In return, you'll accompany a representative to the lighthouse later this morning, investigate what happened there, and see them safely back to the village."

"What say you?"

Yuki says, "Thirty between four people, about seven apiece with two left over." She crosses her arms. "I accept, what about you two?"

Daisy introduces herself to Corwin.

With a smile on her face, she says "oh, I'm definitely in."

Harknail replies, "I shalt accompany and protecteth"

"Should we try to find Manny and ask if he would like to join? He said his family has fishing boats, so he might have an interest in finding out what happened to the lighthouse," Daisy says to Harknail and Yuki.

Harknail nods, "It seemeth wise to do such."

"That would be wise, let's go."

A short time later,  the trio (along with Corwin accompanying) arrived at Manny's family home tucked away near the edge of the village. 

Inside, Manny's mother had been busy.  Fresh blankets had been laid out on Manny's old bed.  The chores he was to do over the next few months had been laid out.

".. and since you're staying awhile, that fence by the smokehouse still needs mending."  Came a voice from inside.  "The roof's been leaking too."

They knocked.  Manny's mother opened the door and found Yuki, Daisy, and Harknail waiting outside.

"Manny!"  She called out over her shoulder.  "Your friends are here.  They brought ... the Harbormaster?"

Manny comes out to see what his mother was talking about.

Manny greats each individual with a handshake and asks, "what brings you to our home?  Are you thirsty?  Mother, can you please grab some mugs of ale for our guests"

Manny invites them in and show them into the living room.

Harknail enters, say "Ye needest not serve Ale forth me.."

​"Ah, ale would be much appreciated," Daisy says with a smile as she enters.

"Sorry to barge in, but Corwin here has offered us a bit of coin if we were to accompany a representative to the lighthouse and see their safe return. You fought well when the lizardfolk attacked us and since your family has fishing boats, we thought you might be interested in joining our little quest."
