It's not the 7, I always have dump stats, it's that you set a rule for no rerolling 1's. So I followed it. Then some other's didn't but you didn't enforce it, so it feels like I'm getting punished for following the rules.
Also forget my 19, there are players with 20's in their stats in this game. Should've just went point buy, theses starts are ridiculous lol.
I'm sorry, I haven't been checking how everyone rolled their character, I have been evaluating the scores as an outcome to make sure they aren't too powerful, as I said I would in the first post. And I don't see a 20 in any stats of any of the approved characters?
For the record, I would like players not to reroll ones for ability scores.
guynamedguy, it sounds like you aren't interested in playing, then? Sorry to lose our outsider character.
Roomba Knight, Architect of the Cataclysm, Kitsumiho! Dubbed The Fluffy Bowman by Golden. He/They
Theatre Kid, Ravenclaw, bookworm, DM, Lego fanatic, flautist, mythology nerd, pedantic about spelling. I also love foxes, cats, otters, and red pandas!
I love Korean Mythology. If you want to ask me about something, send me a PM!
Aig amannan bidh mi air mo ghlacadh ro mhòr an-dràsta...
I saw a couple people who rolled 18's and just assumed they would use their +2 to bump it to 20. I haven't looked at anyone's finished sheets, so I apologize for assuming.
And sorry, I'm pretty new to D&D and PBP, and very new to the concept of rolling for stats. Other D&D games I've played in the past were point buy/standard array. So the disparity between characters is something I'm not used to and was making me frustrated.
I'm still interested in your game, but if you feel like LinkArcher would be a better fit, then they can take my place. They look like they're more experienced.
This is also my first time doing D&D PBP so I apologize, I should have been clearer with my stat expectations. Guynamedguy, you can reroll the 7 if it's important to you, but otherwise I'm not interested in continuing to litigate how the stats work. If you are still in despite that, just say so, the spot is still yours! If not, LinkArcher you are certainly welcome!
As for me - apologies for missing the second post - here's my redo of the stats without the 1s being rerolled. Still pretty happy with that alright! And love the whole altruistic aspect of the Bleakers - 'whelp this sucks. but no one else is going to come fix it for us, so we better fix it ourselves'. Definitely must be how he got involved!
That's okay the guynamedguy! Thanks for being self aware :) I'll post what your character experiences as they stumble into Sigil for the first time in the IC topic soon, then you can start playing.
Mesawolf, let's have Ismaelar start as a bystander on the street, near this fight between Habel and some Xaosect thugs going on in the IC topic.
Love Xalistani! She is approved! I'll get the IC channel up in a few and feel free to post there. Let's have her start in her day job in the hall of speakers -- write a little about what her boring day-to-day routine is like. The call to adventure will swoop in after that. Do you have any more details of her villainous Harmonium stalker or would you to leave his appearance, name, etc up to me?
Thanks! Much as I would love to participate, I think I'm going to rescind my application. :(
I've got a ton of stress IRL and every day is getting more and more demanding. I shouldn't join another game when my free time is likely to become an increasingly scarce resource.
Apoearance: Jules is a rather tall young woman, with pale skin as is common among Shadar-Kai. She has silver-gray eyes and flowing raven black hair, and is usually wearing light armour and clothes usable for combat, with a small silver locket around her neck.
Her alignment is Neutral, and she’s generally nice and kind - to her friends. She can be ruthless to her enemies when it suits her best.
She’s a member of the Transcendent Order, with the appropriate sigil (ha ha) on her clothing.
She’s not originally from here, having stumbled through a portal from the Shadowfell and has since eked out a life for herself, among the Transcendent Order. But she’s still trying to figure out where she’s originally from, and if she can get back…

-------------------------------------------------Bit is awesome and SO on brand for Sigil. Great Dusty. I love it but I do think the Arisen species is not exactly balanced with the other starting races. I'm going to ask you to choose two of the following racial traits to keep: Magical Fortification, Tenacious, Toughness, and Inured to the Elements. Maybe we can add the other two back when you reach a higher level. If you make those changes Bits is approved.----------------------------
I put a note on the sheet that he doesn't have the advantage on wisdom saves or death saving throws at current level.
Welcome, LinkArcher! Shadar-Kai are very cool! Juliet is approved. Just so you know, we do already have two rogues. Not that we can't have three, but you might have some competition on who gets to make the lock-picking checks.

Perfect. Let's have Bits start in the Market ward, on the way to collect some corpses from a hospital there and bring them to the mortuary for processing. It's a pretty routine assignment.

If he isn’t interested, is it possible that I might be able to join?

I'd like to still stay in, and I'll keep my 7. Thank you for being patient with me and my frustrated outburst. I apologize for it.

Damn, I'll mis Xalistani. :( Kudos for being good at time management though

What's the current lineup? I might be okay with swapping classes.
Is there a link to the campaign?
