There's something I've wanted to try for a while now. I've done it as a DM a couple of times, but I would really, really like to try as a player.
What I have in mind is throwing game balance out the window and seeing what ACTUALLY happens if you give a bunch of level 1 PCs access to legendary magic items. Both against regular opponents and against high-level monsters that low-level PCs have no business fighting.
Still looking for brave souls willing to help me break D&D.
The experiment: level 1 PCs, legendary magic items, and encounters they have no business surviving.
I’m curious whether absurd gear actually lets low-level characters punch wildly above their weight, or whether things like low HP, weak saves, and action economy still bring them crashing back to earth.
In other words: can Peanut the Dragon Slayer live up to the name, or is this how we discover that legendary items do not protect you from being extremely level 1?
Looking for both players and a DM who enjoy weird system experiments.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Roomba Knight, Architect of the Cataclysm, Kitsumiho! Dubbed The Fluffy Bowman by Golden. He/They
Theatre Kid, Ravenclaw, bookworm, DM, Lego fanatic, flautist, mythology nerd, pedantic about spelling. I also love foxes, cats, otters, and red pandas!
I love Korean Mythology. If you want to ask me about something, send me a PM!
Aig amannan bidh mi air mo ghlacadh ro mhòr an-dràsta...
Fantastic! Looks like we have at least a DM and one player besides myself! I assume boss0tron3000 will take up the mantle of DM. Looking forward to this!

Hi all,

There's something I've wanted to try for a while now. I've done it as a DM a couple of times, but I would really, really like to try as a player.

In any case, here's the character I have made up: Peanut the Dragon Slayer!
Anyway, I hope someone is down for this absolutely crazy idea!

Don't have time to commit to playing this out, but couldn't resist popping in to drop a very relevant Order of the Stick comic.
I would gladly DM this.

I’d love either dming or playing this!

Are we going to do a campaign, or just a couple encounters?
