Raskival watches the outnumbered dwarf for a moment from the end of the alley.
Three against one? He thinks to himself, that's not very sporting. But then again, I stand a much better chance of winning if I join those three. And if I win, I have much better chance of getting the help I need.
He hesitates, shifting his weight from his front foot to his back, unable to decide who to fight.
Damn it to the Hells, I can't leave that dwarf on his own, he thinks as his conscience gets the best of him, this had better not end with my dying in this godsbedamned land.
Raskival removes his longbow from his back and nocks an arrow. He surveys his targets and settles his sights upon the gnome. As he draws back on his bow, he speaks the words of a familiar spell under his breath, marking the gnome as his prey, then looses his arrow at her.

A young woman is running along the rooftops, a scroll clutched tightly in her hand. She’s wearing a black cloak atop studded leather, with a full Oni mask covering her face. Shouts rise from the ground as people begin spotting her as the Lady passes. She grins, and then flips backwards off the roofs.
Acrobatics 16
The sound of the crowd fades as Jules quickly eludes her pursuers with her elegant acrobatics, getting some distance from the sight of the Lady, and the Doomguards who were chasing her.
Soon she spots a place that looked like it used to be a courtyard or alleyway until the Dabus who are always redesigning the city bricked up the entrances. Now it's an open little cobblestone square in the middle of a block of buildings, walls on all four sides. The few windows that open onto it are closed, and the only access point is the rooftop. The perfect place to hide, and maybe get a better look at that scroll she stole...
Jules runs into the square, sits down against the wall, and unravels the scroll. As she suspected, it’s a map. Likely to a key for one of the portals. Trouble is, it’s in an odd language, and she can’t exactly go asking the Fraternity of Order for help…

Habel’s sword cuts a gash across the woman’s throat, and her eyes blast smoke as she stumbles backward. As she falls to the ground, her eyes fade into dull orbs the color of rock. The goliath howls in gibberish, and brings his fists down toward the dwarf's skull. 12
Raskival shoots an arrow at the gnome, just barely missing as she instinctually flinches to the side and it almost knicks her ear. She chortles. "Oooh, seems like my crossbow has found another target!" She fires at Raskival. 20

As Jules looks closer, she notices that the map marks out a location for the portal somewhere in the Market Ward. If she could only decipher the cipher, she could figure out what the key was… Whatever that portal is, it seemed of interest to the Bleakers…
Maybe someone at the Great Gymnasium would be able to help her.

The arrow finds Raskival's shoulder, dealing 3 piercing damage. The gnome cheers. "Good work, crossbow!"

Jules tucks the scroll and mask into her bag, slings it over her shoulder, and begins sneaking in that direction.

Ismaelar flowed with the crowd as it ebbed and ran in the wake of The Lady's departure. He kept an eye out for potential marks as he bobbed along. Perhaps it was the disarray caused by the Lady's passing. Perhaps it was just bad luck. But the combination of viable target and relatively risk free opportunity just never seemed to present itself to him at the same time. Typical, he thought to himself. Massive crowd. Prime distraction. And yet not a thing worth taking the risk for. His bitter musings were interrupted by another disturbance erupting in the crowd a short distance away. As was typical for crowds in Sigil, it seemed about equal numbers of people were moving in for a better view of the unfolding action as were moving as far away as they could.
Ismaelar chose the former, slipping into the shadows at the edge of the street and making his way towards the increasingly angry shouting in the hopes this new distraction would create a better chance at hitting a mark. Or perhaps even just winkle out a few wealthier marks to assess. He sidled up to the edge of the crowd encircling the action. His eyes narrowed as he recognised a few Xaosect thugs from a nearby neighbourhood. He didn't know the dwarf they were trying to beat up. But it didn't really matter. Here was a prime opportunity to maybe make a bit of money AND knock back a rival just a bit. Plus if it all went pear-shaped and any trouble followed him, there was a decent chance he could just blame it on the dwarf.
He skulked up behind the humanoid with the blue orbs, letting the crowd cover his movement. He waited, sizing up his target and waiting for the right moment before striking.
