Seeing time stand still Broom mutters a silent prayer in a strange mix of dragonic and arcane language. Jumping down through the trap door Bromm weaves an spell summing an arcane hand to retrieve his belongings from the from of the cart. "Time waits for no man, except us apperently....let's not waste it"
"how poetic, im inclined to agree" xadian stands, and follows thorn (can i get my stuff? its just a fiddle, knife and gloves)
Confused by the stoppage of time, but focused and ready to make a move Luce follows behind Xadian. He slips out the trap door and heads towards the front of the cart to grab his traveling gear.
“Did one of you cause this strange time effect? Ive never seen magic like this before. Excellent escape plan.” Luce says to the group with surprise.
"Magic like this is beyond me, but a powerful wizard could cast a spell like this, especially one who has experience with chronurgy or high level transmutation magics. As our dwarf friend stated we should capitalise on this opportunity"
Zellion jumps down the trap door and makes his way to the front of the cart with the others to find his belongings.
Once he has them he will draw his scimitar and ask the others.
"What say you friends? Do we fight or do we flee?"
Aegis looks about the cage, the slavers, and the surrounding forest, momentarily confused as everything appears frozen in place. He snaps out of it quickly and makes for the trapdoor on the floor.
"Survival should be our primary objective, not revenge," he says to Zellion as he exits the cage, "Although it may serve us well in our survival to dispatch our captors while time--as it were--is on our side."
He retrieves his weapons from the cart and readies himself for potential battle.
xadain slips on his gloves, which seem to fade as he does so, and places his fiddle on his back, and sheiths his dagger "or we leave, and dont risk being overwhelmed, but if you wish to, i might as well assist, anyone else disagree?"
Thorn mentally facepalms. Always measure the door before moving furniture, he thinks. Oh well, everyone seems to be out and have their stuff, and the slavers seem to be playing a game of musical statues sans music. He opens his own bag, takes out what can only be described as a miniature ballista, and loads a crossbow bolt. "At last, my arm is complete again”. He counts the number of slavers (Perception18) and looks around for the source of the time spell (Investigation5).
“I am not big on shooting people who are... asleep? I have no idea what this is, but it feels temporary. If we are going to do something, it had better be quick. Ready yourselves, I am going to attempt to tie the boss man up.” Sleight of Hand15
“I very much like the idea of tieing them up! Quickly now and we won’t have to fight.” Luce grabs his rope off his pack and tries to tie up the closest slaver to him.
Craignar slinks behind the others and grabs his bag of stuff as it is presented towards him. Slipping his gauntlets on and straping the rest of his wares in place, he agrees with something needs to be done to the slavers, to slow their pursuit if nothing else once whatever is affecting them wares off. Craignar suspects there is more afoot then a kind gesture letting poor slaves escape, to ne honest this group looks more prisoner's then slaves based on appearance. Without a good sense of where they are, he is content following others leads away from here. "Perhaps we bust the cages wheels before we go, hard to pull slaves without wheels."
Bromm moves to the wagon rider lossing the saddle, ensuring the straps are just loose enough to cause problems once time begins moving again. Satisfied with his handiwork, he dusts off his hands and steps back from the horse. "That should make for an interesting ride."
Turning toward the others, the dwarf's expression grows more serious. His grip tightens around his book as he glances down the road ahead. "We shouldn't waste too much time," he says in a low voice. "In my experience, good deeds always come at a price." He casts a wary look toward the frozen world around them. "And whatever power gave us this opportunity may well come looking to collect."
"Let us hope they do not have a tracker in their midst. The foliage should assist in disguising our tracks".
Zellion searches the wagon for any supplies or provisions (food, water etc) before grabbing whatever he can find that doesn't look too heavy or unwieldy and making his way towards the trees.

Thorn also searches the wagons and slavers for loot (Investigation 15), and he then follows Zellion into the woods.
