The sight was confusing. Two Starbeasts, though one considerably smaller. Turning on the other starbeast? A curious thing, which warranted further insight.
Hello. I mean no harm to any but these big lumps of flesh. I am known as Qlevvaln, and am one of the folk, as these are known as the beasts. It seems your kind refers to the beasts as Starbeasts, so I suppose we'd be the Starfolk to you. I hope the language of thought is something you understand.
It's a language Soolaire clearly understands. Honesty exudes with the Starfolk's communication. Uncertain of how to proceed, he telepathically speaks with the Starfolk. "Qlevvaln, is it? I am Shashidiswara of the Ishahru, the last of my kind. We have battled these starbeasts for sometime, and have many questions. I'm certain that even now, my comrades speak to you as well. But know that if you truly mean what you say, then we mean you no harm. But also know, that if you lie, we will slaughter you and spread your plasma far across the land, that your being might become less than dust."
Valen sighed and put his claws away, unsure of how to deal with this situation. "Uh... I'm Valen. I think our first priority with you is teaching you how to speak common." The elf attempted to maintain the psychic link between him and the Starfolk who called himself Qlevvaln, thinking his words as loud- if thoughts can be loud- as possible. "Aside from that, so long as you mean no one we ally ourselves with harm, we should get along just fine." Valen thought for a moment before saying aloud, "Can you even learn common? Since you seemed to speak at such a low or such a high pitch none of us could hear it."
Hello, Shasidiswara of the Ishahru, and the rest of you. I cannot understand your tongue, but now that you speak it, I realise that my guess as to your vocal pitch was wrong. Which of you speaks the most common tongue most fluently? I can gain the knowledge from you.
Qlevvaln drops down to obtain some clothing from the storm genasi that had been murdered by the starbeast, and also to pick up the guns that he has just dropped. As he does so, he starts to hum, first at the subsonic tone that he was using before and increasing the pitch so that it is audible to your ears, and at a comfortable level. Once he finishes reaching an audible pitch, he starts speaking to himself, in a tongue completely incomprehensible to you.
The star that Chance and Dastrun go to investigate is smaller than the one that was obtained at the kobold lair (Slightly larger than a Starbeast), but is otherwise the same.

"Here," Valen said, stepping forward. "I know Common quite well. You may gleam it from my mind, if you wish." He repeated the words in his mind, again attempting to allow Qlevvaln to hear his thoughts. He awaited further instruction from the Starfolk as to how he would gain the knowledge from Valen's mind. As he waited, it occurred to Valen that the Starfolk couldn't hear his thoughts. "Er, Shashidiswara? Would you mind conveying what I just said to him?" Valen looked to their one companion with telepathic abilities for help.
Soolaire moves towards to Starfolk, mind outstretched. "You can take the Common tongue from me. I am proficient enough in speaking it, although it is not my native language." he offers telepathically to Qlevvaln.
Qlevvaln stands up, now wearing the deceased storm genasi's clothes.
Very well then, Shashidiswara. Let the language fill your mind, and that will make the process more efficient.
He approaches you, and places his hands on your temples, as the words of the common tongue fill your mind and his. Watching on, you'd notice Soolaire's eyes glowing unnaturally bright, as does Qlevvaln, but after a few seconds the glow passes and Qlevvaln is back to dealing with the storm genasi's corpse, now looking to perhaps bury it.
"You were speaking to me earlier, in this tongue, yes? What were you asking? And not all at once, please. I'll do my best to answer what I can."

Now, hearing the voice of the starfolk and its request for smaller questions, John says: My name is John Roelof, and I am a follower of the True Sun. Are you from the skies? The same place this creatures come from?
Valen glanced at Soolaire. It seems he misunderstood my request. Ah, well. What's done is done. The end was achieved. Addressing Qlevvaln, Valen said aloud, "I'd personally like to know if you mean any of us harm. If you don't, I wouldn't mind your travelling with us. You do seem to know how to take down one of these." Valen gestured at the Starbeast corpse lying on the ground.
"The skies? Us Starfolk and those Starbeasts reside outside of your atmosphere. We come from the Fields. And you are a follower of what sorry? True Sun isn't a term that translates properly. I'd gladly travel with you, since I don't know any happenings of this world. I'm only here to hunt the Starbeasts, so unless you are one, which I can tell you now, you are not, I mean you no harm. Next round of questions?"

Atmosphere? You are from the skies, right? I venerate the True Sun (John points to the sun in the sky) Do you know what this creatures are doing down here? Or why the moon is breaking?
While he says that, John walks to the dead genasi to see if there is anything that could identify him.
You are talking about many mysteries. I'm wondering why it is necessary for these creatures to appear here and appreciate your efforts in hunting them.
Soolaire nods, switching over his communication to verbal. "Yes, what do you know about these monsters? They've destroyed cities, slaughtered families... even our moon is turning into something strange. Why are they here? What do they want? How can we stop them?" His face shows concern, yet peace.
"The skies are within your planet's atmosphere, which keeps all the air in. Us Starkin are from beyond it. A strange notion to worship that warren. The Starbeasts are coming down to the surface because their warrens are. I was hunting one, so I ended up falling with its warren. They are mindless beasts, so they don't really want much but to survive. You can stop them by killing them, not much else."
Qlevvaln looks up to the sky as he says this, and then turns his gaze to the moon, which is visible on the horizon.
"As for that big lump of rock, I've no clue why it is crumbling like that, but I'm pretty sure I heard one of my friends say that there was a powerful magic behind it."

Valen rubbed his chin, contemplating Qlevvaln's comment about the moon. "Do you know anything more about this 'powerful magic' your friend mentioned? And what do you mean by 'warren'? Are you telling me that these-" He pointed at the Star. "-are where the Starbeasts live?" Valen thought about it more, before continuing. "Is our sun- the first one- also a warren of sorts? Where do you live in this grand scheme of things- you know what, hold on, let me write this all down." Valen reached for his spellbook and ink. He opened the book to an unmarked page, ready to write down Qlevvaln's answers. "Okay, you're good. Tell me what you can, if you don't mind." The elf looked at the Starfolk expectantly.
Their warren is coming down? You mean the False God? The mockery? I don't know what this atmosphere or this field you say you come from are, but this creatures are causing havoc and destruction to our realm so if you are hunting them you are welcome to come with us, but just answer this: Why are you wearing the deceased clothing?
"What false god? What mockery? I don't think that the warren's descent is because of such an entity. I'm wearing its clothing because it seems it is the norm to wear clothes. Perhaps it is best to walk and talk to answer your question... er, what were all your names?"
Qlevvaln walks over to the star, and starts pushing it towards where the group came from. It takes him little effort, but is seems pretty clear that this is a supernatural power, rather than his physical strength.

Gideon stares silently at Qlevvaln. He really didn't have any questions to ask. "My name is Gideon Yojimbo." He nodded his head towards Qlevvaln but kept his and near his sword hilt....just in case.

Dastrun quickly puts his weapons away and runs to the star, trying to see if it's bigger or smaller than the one they currently have.
