Valen was surprised when the Starbeast grabbed him. He didn't expect to be tossed into the hole either. "Oh fu-" Valen's response was cut short as he hit the ground. "Ow. That hurt." He felt his Bladesong release when he hit the floor below. Suddenly, a burning sensation hit his chest. Looking down, Valen saw that he had some Starbeast slime on him. "Gross and ow," he muttered, Prestidigitating himself clean. He instinctively felt for his spellbook, rapier in hand. Finding it where it normally was, he breathed a sigh of relief, before turning his attention to the floor above. That seems like a problem, Valen thought as he looked for something to help him climb up. He heard Gideon and Soolaire attacking the Starbeast above him. I can't let them have all the fun, now can I?
The final remaining Starbeast lashes out at Soolaire, with both limbs, One connects, around his neck, but the other misses [17 radiant damage].

"Lord of Light, Keeper of Justice, we need this foul creature to be destroyed! My companions, the ones in your service are hurt, please guide this bolt to its target!" Saying that as a prayer, John fires another bolt at the creature.
The strike wounded Soolaire badly, plus covered him in this extraterrestrial plasma, which burned his skin in a different way than fire would. It was unpleasant, and weakened him greatly. Seeing Valen down below, he called out to him telepathically, "Valen, I'm going to switch places with you. I can get out of that hole far easier than you ever could." Receiving a mental recognition, Soolaire's veins flashed a bright white, as he disappeared, with Valen reappearing moments later, and taking his place in return down below in the hole. Once "safe", he used the small amount of time to wipe the plasma off of himself, relieving him of the burning sensation. Watching the fight continue up above, he hated himself for the act, but knew it gave them the best chance of felling the demon. He steps away from the entrance of the hole, ready to teleport himself back up above.
OOC: Bonus action to use Transposition (3 pp, for a total of 4/14 remaining), action to wipe the plasma off, and movement to step away from the hole entrance.
Hearing Soolaire's voice in his head, Valen prepared for the switch. It left a weird tingling feeling in his legs, and he almost dropped his rapier. Instead of falling to the ground, he muttered an incantation, recasting Blur upon himself. He re-engaged his Bladesong, and walked five feet west of his position, ready to attack the Starbeast as soon as he could.
[OOC: 12 HP remaining. Action: Cast Blur. Movement: 5 feet west of new position (Soolaire's previous location). Bonus: Bladesong.]
Dastrun gets an idea in his head, albeit it's a stupid idea, but he's had worse and he's still alive. He rushes forward, slashing upwards along it's stomach. ( Damage: 7)
Gideon was running out of energy but he would not give up! The foe before him was nothing! He slashed the best and as before punched with everything he could, yet everything he did seemed to be weaker than before, he was still had not recovered from his wounds.

Soolaire saw his foe on its last leg. Metaphorically speaking. Soolaire could see it had no legs. He shouts, getting ready for his epic coup de gras. "Father-Dragon! Hear my cry! Let me channel your fury with one last blow!" The flames on his head flare up, and he vanishes, appearing directly above the beast, the momentum continuing to carry him forward. As he looks, he sees both Valen and Dastrun winding up attacks as well. Panic sets in as he realizes he is going to hit it first. No, no, no, no, no, no! He couldn't be selfish though, and chose to weaken the beast even further, giving one of them the kill. Toning down his rage, he allowed his attack to maim the demon, but not kill it, as he gracefully glided above the fiend onto some stable floor nearby.
Valen stepped in as Soolaire fell back to earth. "Let me top you off there," he said, thrusting at the Starbeast with his rapier. He was surprised as it twisted to the side, but he felt the power of John's Bless angle his blade true. He struck the side of the beast, nearly killing it. Valen saw the light begin to fade. Over his shoulder, he yelled, "Dastrun! Hey, cow-man! It's your time to shine!"
[OOC: HP: 12 Action: Attack with rapier on SB3. 13 to hit. 8 piercing damage (halved to 4 for resistance).]
Dastrun snorts, "watch your tongue or ill cut it off" he shout to Valen. He sets his sights back into the flame thingy. He raises his greataxe, feeling newfound energy flow through him. "By the power, of my grandfather," he begins to yell at the thing, moving his axe downward, "by the power of my father, by the power of my clan, all which resides in me." He brings the axe into where its head would be, but it doesn't stop, it continues until it bites into the floor, "I END YOU". The thing made of flames, slowly disperses and all you can hear is the heavy breathing of Dastrun.
With Dastrun's strike, The beast falls dead. You are now free to loot the lair, and perhaps that star (size: Huge) could fetch a pretty penny (and provide some good equipment) if you could get it to a town or city.
With that, you guys are now level 4!
Also, LunaticKnight spent a plot point a little bit ago that means that the starbeasts drop shirts for each of you guys (for some reason), except Soolaire, who gets a coffee mug that says "#1 Dad" but Dad is crossed out and it says "Father-Dragon Worshipper" in black sharpie.

Dastrun picks up a piece of clothing that remained from his slayed for. He chuckled as he looked it over, "Yes, this will do just fine." He says to himself at he puts his new shirt on. It seems to fit him fine, but it hugs his muscles. He moves around in it, finding that it doesn't restrict him, and smiling at that. His shirt has some wording on it, and he lags when he sees it. His all black shirt has stark white lettering, that seems to say
"1. Fight
2. Loot
3. Repeat"
Dastrun quickly begins to look around to see if he can find loot actually.
Chance notices Gideon fall to the floor and the Starbeasts death. He heads over and starts wiping the Star Slime off him.

Valen smirked as he picked up a shirt with the phrase "Magic Missile Never Misses" on it. "Whoever came up with these has a great sense of humor," he said to himself. All of a sudden, he had a new idea for a spell or two. Taking out his spellbook, he scribbled a couple lines and wrote some incantations, thought about it, added a few more marks, and was about to close it when he remembered his rapier. It would be handy if I could do a bit more damage... Valen turned the page and began writing again. After a couple more minutes, he closed the book, satisfied. As he went over to look at the Star, he thought about the difficulty of somatic components. "Could I..." he murmured, drawing his sword. None of my normal spells do well with this experiment- His thoughts were cut short as he saw Soolaire in the corner of his eye. Grinning, he remembered a spell his teacher had taught him at the beginning of his training. Drawing his rapier, Valen focussed on a nearby rock, angled his blade towards it, and began moving his free hand through the regular motions of the spell. The point of the rapier mimicked his movement, and soon, Valen felt the energy needed to release the spell thrumming with the tip of the blade. "And here we go!" A flash of fire flew forth from the tip of his rapier, striking the rock successfully. Pleased with his success, Valen sheathed his blade and began wandering through the wreckage of the kobold den, picking up two sticks and slashing at various objects he saw.

After the battle, Soolaire went to observe the fallen star. "Is this what the sun is like? It's not quite what I imagined it would be..." The plasma still clung to whatever the core is made of, so he refrained from touching it. He hears Valen shout, "And here we go!", and turns to see him busily writing in his book. Valen draws his rapier, and shouts it again, "And here we go!", yet it seems to actually happen as a flash of fire blasts from his rapier, scorching the rock nearby. By all the Father-Dragon shines on... What just happened? It was as if he'd heard the future. Confused, he sits on the rock and communes with the Father-Dragon. Several minutes pass as Soolaire sits on the cold stone floor, whispering to himself in Primordial. At last, he stands, a broad smile on his face as his eyes have turned to glow like the sun itself. "Allies! I can sense the future, much like the Father-Dragon! Oh how glorious this this!"

Seeing that Gideon fell in battle and that the creature finally is dealt with, John rushes toward him as Chance does the same. He who oversees all contracts and agreements for the word, written or spoken needs to be kept and He who sets, protects and care for the passage of time, for only during his Light plants grow and animals strides, man work and thrive and when the time to his turn comes, the plants protects themselves from the cold of night, predators prey and man lay down to rest if his conscience is clean.
Not intending to turn this to a religious debate, specially because Soolaire's deity is foreigner but strangely known to him, John finish's his speech with a friendly semblance on his face and says: No Soolaire, that is not what the Sun looks like, it might be at best a offence or bad imitation of the True Sun.
