You for reasons of your own have payed a wizard to teleport you somewhere (the world is undefined you can be going anywhere you are from a standard small fantasy village) you assumed that when the wizard gathered you in a big group that you each wanted to go to the same place but you end up in the middle of a dense forest and realize you’ve been scammed
I don’t know how long this will last but I’m guessing it will be relatively short to apply just give a short summary of your character link your character and tell me the first thoughts your character has on what to do or how to get back home I don’t usually track rations but i will this adventure because it should be pretty important so keep that in mind I forgot to mention I have never played 2024 D&D before so also when you apply tell me if you would rather play 2014 or 2024 I am willing to learn
Leif Aulderoot is a cocky little forest gnomerogue. He is fast smart and has a niche petite je ne sais quoi. Too much some might say, he acts without thinking moves without warning and has a general naïveté in regards to the real world.
When asked about inclusion in a certain paid magical vacation, his new obsession became adventure. His bags packed, he made sure he was an absolute necessity to the party.
Hello. I prefer 2024. I’ve linked my character so you can check him out. I like the anything goes opening feel, Leif would get bored of a long camping experience and so is motivated after a couple nights to work on a plan to find civilization. He likes animals but occasionally assumes they like him too- not always the case…
Perhaps he initially thought they were destined for a resort-like beach or a popular city before ending up in the obscure dense forest, he probably quite listening after the first couple sentences of explaining teleport.
**Assumed 1st level standard equipment and I went with standard array for stats.
https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/167323731 hello I prefer 2014, Kiefe bramble is a acolyte monk that has spent his whole life training and was attempting to go on a pilgrimage then got scammed like the rest of you and he is determined to find a solution and is often seen praying.
@ShortKing426 your link is set to private not public the potential DM can’t see it unless you change it to public. If you only wanna share with Grungthebreed send a public view sheet in a private message. Just FYI.

Knowledge Domain Cleric (from the Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerûn). He thought he was getting a great deal to visit a great place to learn more knowledge. He has no idea what he was in for.

(perfer 2014-spent way too much money of previous versions to spend more money) Name: Omen Race: Human Class: Sorcerer Background: Urchin Reason: Omen, a name he gave himself to sound "cool", is a street rat that steals to survive. He has stolen a small bag from a passing noblewoman and got away, or so he thought. Turns out the noblewoman had money & power and her retainers are everywhere looking for him. It has gotten so bad he has had to pay this wizard to get him out of the city. Now he is standing in the middle of some forest, surrounded by strangers. He's fine so far, as long as this gets him away from the noblewoman and her flunkies. Standing there he just realizes he has never opened the bag to find out what was inside.
Helena was born half a snake, her mother tried to raise her but she got discovered and was instantly banished from her tribe, and she has grown up in the forest, away from humanity, hunting and scavenging for food and items since.
For Aurelia, truth was always something you could measure. As an appraiser of rare texts and antiquities for a prominent merchant guild, she prided herself on her infallible eye. Give her an hour with a magnifying glass, and she could spot a forged signature from a mile away, deduce the exact century a scroll was penned, and tell you precisely how many gold pieces it was worth.
Then came the wizard. He arrived in her quiet provincial town spinning grand tales of a "spectacular, forgotten vault of antiquity"—a place untouched by time, overflowing with first-edition codices and ancient pre-Calamity artifacts.
Blinded by the sheer academic thrill of discovering an untouched vault, Aurelia handed over her life savings for a "premium group transport ticket." She packed her finest leather-bound ledger, her delicate ink pens, and her specialized magnifying lenses, expecting a pristine historical expedition.
